Chereads / The adventures of the other Nephilim / Chapter 37 - The King Beloved by the gods

Chapter 37 - The King Beloved by the gods

Seraphiel, The Prince of the High Angelic Order. He is also said to be the highest ranking Seraphim and one of the five most powerful beings in all creation.

This mighty Seraphim has a son, a boy by the name; Sigmund.

Father and son were having a talk about restraint, because; Sigmund had accidently "killed" one of the Hayyoth-Lions… and Ariel was NOT pleased.

Thankfully, she was understanding.

And Seraphiel did bring back the Hayyoth-Lion into existence.

" I didn't mean to… " said Sigmund, sounding sorry.

" I know " said Seraphiel, while holding his son close.

" How come Melitron is so good at keeping her powers in check…. is she special? " asked Sigmund, while feeling depressed.

Seraphiel just had a sighing smile.

" Yes. She is special- Sigmund now felt even more bad- but. So are you. Do you want to know why?- Sigmund now looked at his father with anticipating eyes- because.- Seraphiel now picked up Sigmund- You are my son, my special and beloved boy "

All of heaven could now hear the joyful laughter of Sigmund.

" Father… "

" Yes? "

" Could you tell me that one story before I leave "

" Ofcourse. In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit…"

After the story.

Sigmund was teleported away, and Seraphiel could be heard singing;

" Far over, the misty mountain cold… "

Seraphiel's six wings were now lowered, as a sign that the highest ranking Seraphim was sad.

The 21st Ring

In the 8th century.

Within Middle-Gard.

Is there said to live a King who ruled over his whole world.

His name was Sigurd Ring but some also called him Hringr.

Sigurd wields; The Ring of the Nibelung, a ring which grants one the power- the authority to rule over the whole of Middle-Gard and its people.

The ring is also known as The 21st Ring.

Sigurd also has the mighty and legendary sword;

Marg, a sword which is said to rival that of Gramr itself.

Hringr has many heroes and champions under him, like;

The sons of Gandalf;

Nal and Nellekcm.

(These two mighty and unrivaled magush appear in the Norna-Gests þáttr)

The legendary warrior; Trotter, whose nickname is Tor.

This unmatched warrior wields the sword-hammer known as Mjøl.

Starkaðr, the eight-armed giant blessed with three lives.

Sigurd and Siegfried the Fafnir-Slayer-Brødre.

These two brothers together killed the feared dragon Fafnir.

After having drinked and bathed in the dragon's blood.

They both shared the dragon's heart.

These two are unmatched in battle, especially when they fight together.

Sigurd wields Gram and Siegfried wields Balmung.

Sigurd is married to the beautiful shieldmaiden and valkyrie in disguise; Brynhildr.

Siegfried is likewise married to a mighty female-warrior; Kriemhild.

Olaf and Fle(the elf-maiden) also serve Sigurd Ring.

And so does an Orc by the name of Hel-Deofol.

Unlike many Orcs.

Hel-Deofol is praised for his kindness and big soft heart.

(Some say that he looks like someone called; Garrosh Hellscream)

I also just want to mention that Sigurd Ring's castle looks a lot like the Neuschwanstein castle.

Our story now begins.

Within Middle-Gard.

Sigmund finds himself amidst a vast green plaine, and wherever he looks, he sees the many beautiful colors of nature, to the trees and to the bushes.

Sigmund could hear the wing singing, but he then heard growling.

A group of Draugr had now surrounded the young Nephilim.

Sigmund looked into the eyes of the hungry Draugrs.

"Restraint…. but father did say that it was okay in self-defense " said Sigmund with a smile.

But before Sigmund could bring back the Draugrs to life, so he could kill them again.

Sigmund heard a war-cry.

From out the near-by forest, came forth a large Orc, followed by a wolf.

With his giant axe.

The Orc made quick work of the Draugrs.

" Ha-ha. Now that's what I call good exercise, " said the Orc.

The Orc now noticed little Sigmund.

He kneeled down and asked;

" Who might you be, little one? "

" My name is Sigmund "

" Sigmund. I see. My name is Hel-Deofol, but just call me Deofol, and this wolf here is Váli "

" How do you do? " said Váli.

" You can talk! " said Sigmund, amazed.

" So can you… " said Váli, confused.

Sigmund did not know how to respond to that.

" So, Sigmund. Where is your home? " asked Deofol.

" I was sent away, to this new world " said Sigmund, sounding a bit sad.

" New world? So you are not from Middle-Gard… which one of the other 8 worlds are you from? " said Deofol.

Sigmund simply pointed towards the sky.

" The sky? Do you come from Asgard? " asked Deofol.

" What is Ass-guard? " asked Sigmund, confused.

The wolf and the Orc just looked at one another.

" So, you don't have a home here in Middle-Gard? " asked Váli.

" No… " said Sigmund.

Deofol, without hesitation, now picked Sigmund up, and placed the Nephilim on his shoulder.

" Well, then we will bring you to your new home " said Deofol the kind, with a smile.

Sigmund now had a joyous smile.

" Are you sure that the King won't mind? " said Váli.

" Absolutely " said the Orc with a big heart.

The Nephilim, the Orc and the Wolf now all walked towards the castle of King Sigurd Ring.

While walking.

Sigmund noticed all the magical creatures of Middle-Gard, he even heard the trees talking.

" You two can not hear the trees talking? " said Sigmund, confused.

" Nope. Nal and Nellekcm can, and Sigurd and Siegfried can understand the birds, but I have not heard them mention anything about understanding the trees…. what about you, Váli? " said Deofol

" I can understand the other animals, but not the trees "

" Too bad. The tree's voices are like a melody, " said Sigmund.

" What are they talking about? " asked Váli.

" They are talking about Deofol, " said Sigmund.

" Me? " said the Orc surprised; " But why? "

" They are talking about how grateful they are to you for planting new seeds, and taking good care of nature, " said Sigmund.

The Orc now blushed.

" I only did all that because I wanted to… not because I wanted fame or praise… " said Deofol, while sounding a bit embarrassed.

" Well. They are certainly singing your praises " said Sigmund with a smile, while resting on the Orc's head.

Deofol and Váli now heard something that sounded like music coming from the forest, which just made Deofol blush even more.

The Nephilim, the Orc and the Wolf had now finally reached the castle.

" But… it is just one castle… " said Sigmund, confused.

" What do you mean? " said Váli.

" Where is your king's kingdom? " said Sigmund.

" All of Middle-Gard is the king's kingdom, he is after all the one who wields; The Ring of the Nibelung " said Deofol.

They now entered the castle.

Upon entering.

Sigmund noticed a Fossegrimen playing music.

The Nephilim, the Orc and the Wolf had now entered the throne-room, where Sigmund saw King Hringr sitting on Hliðskjálf, the sister-throne of Lidskjalf.

" Deofol, Váli. Who is this child that you have brought with you? " said King Sigurd, confused.

" He is a lost boy, from one of the other worlds " said Deofol, while gently putting Sigmund back on the ground.

" What is your name, child? " asked the King.

" Sigmund, sir "

" Sigmund? Who is your father? "

" His name is Seraphiel " said the little Nephilim.

" Seraphiel? " said Sigurd Ring, having never heard of the name before.

" Bring me some of Kvasir's blood " said the King.

A servant brought a drinking-horn, filled with the blood.

The wielder of the 21st ring now emptied the horn.

" Are you wiser, sire? " said Deofol.

" Yes… but, all I understand is that this Seraphiel is somehow related to the husband of Idun " said the King.

" To Michael? " said Váli, confused.

" The Archangel! " exclaimed Sigmund joyfully.

" You know of him? " asked the King.

" Of course " said Sigmund with a smile.

" What relationship does your father have with Michael? " asked King Sigurd.

" Uhm… you could say that they are like brothers… I think? " said Sigmund, a bit confused.

" I see. Then I assume that you also know of Jack? " said the King.

" Of course, he is my cousin… wait. Does King Erof live in this world? " said Sigmund.

" No. King Erof Redtooth rules over a different Scandinavia on a different world. This is Middle-Gard " said King Sigurd Ring with a smile.

Sigmund(like some of you readers) was a bit confused.

" Enough talk! " said the King as he arose from his throne; " It is time to feast, like a true Viking "

A Viking-like feast was now held, with eating, drinking, singing and dancing.

All the various creatures from all over Middle-Gard joined in on the feast.

Wherever he looked, Sigmund saw smiles, happy faces, and some passed out drinkers.

Sigmund also noticed a girl, about his age.

The girl was helping the women serve the drinks.

The girl now came to Sigmund's table.

" Hello. My name is Sigmund. What is your name? "

" My name is Gunlød "

Gunlød now walked over to another table, and Sigmund's eyes could not help but follow her every move.

" Ah. Young love " said Deofol, as he and Váli were enjoying their mead(yes, the wolf)

After Mani had now shown himself in the night sky.

Many were now asleep and some were passed out.

Sigmund, however, was not asleep.

He wanted to hear nature's night time song.

Sigmund heard the beautiful melody and could not help but to sing along.

" You enjoy the song? " said a voice echoing throughout all nature.

" Where are you? " said Sigmund, while looking towards all directions.

" I am all-round you " said the voice.

" Show yourself " said Sigmund, who felt no fear.

In front of Sigmund sprang forth various parts of nature.

" Forgive me. I didn't mean to be rude. My name is Grand Bois. It is a pleasure to meet you "

" My name is Sigmund, and the pleasure is all mine "

The god and the Nephilim, spent all that night just singing the song of nature.

In the end.

Grand Bois was allowed to inhabit Sigmund's body.

Jötunheimr

The land of the giants, the home of the Jötunns.

Sigmund, Deofol and Váli were all three walking within the giant lands.

" Where are we going? " asked Sigmund, while sitting on Deofol's broad shoulder.

" We are going to a special place, we are going to visit a cow " said the Orc with a warm and welcoming smile.

" A cow? " said Sigmund, surprised.

" The first cow " said the son of Loki.

Sigmund did not understand.

So while they were walking towards their destination.

The little Nephilim just enjoyed the scenery.

" This place is filled with life… and it is so BIG! " said Sigmund.

" Well of course. Giants do live here " said Váli.

" But the Jötunns can adjust their size according to their will, " said Deofol.

" True. The giants are also known to have the ability to shapeshift " said Váli.

" Wait. I have heard that Odin can do that as well. Does that mean that he is a giant? " said Sigmund.

" Well, yes, but also no. Odin Indeed does have the ability to shapeshift, which would make him a Jötunn, but he is an Aesir " said Deofol.

" I don't understand… " said Sigmund, confused.

" It is just like how; Catherine the Great was born a German but died as a Russian " said Váli.

Sigmund was just more confused.

" We are here, " said Deofol.

And Sigmund was now amazed.

" Wow…. " said the Nephilim.

The Nephilim, the Orc and the Wolf were all now looking at the first cow in Norse Mythology, the cow of Ymir: Auðumbla, the giant primordial cow.

Sigmund now saw four rivers, each river was made by one of Auðumbla's teats.

Deofol walked over and filled one of his four buckets, with milk from each river.

" Why four buckets? " asked Sigmund.

" One for the King, one for the hall, one for nature and one just in case " said the kind Orc.

Sigmund just looked at the golden and shiny milk.

" So. Is this milk special in any way? " asked Sigmund.

" I heard that it is beloved by women, " said Váli.

" Really?… " said the Nephilim with the hint of a plan.

Sigmund and Gunlød could later be seen on a picnic, drinking some of Auðumbla's milk.

Vanaheim

Risa-Örn, is the giant eagle sitting atop of Yggdrasil, this is the very same eagle who Ratatoskr brings messengers to from Niðhöggr, it should also be mentioned that it is Risa-Örn who creates the four winds who the single movement of its wings.

Risa-Örn also has a small dear friend, a hawk by the name of; Veðrfölnir.

It could be said that both Risa-Örn and Veðrfölnir are the companions of the sons of Gandalf; Nal and Nellekcm.

Sigmund and the sons of Gandalf were all three enjoying a ride on Risa-Örn.

The giant eagle is flying over all Vanaheim.

" Do you guys know the story of how Mímir got his head cut off? " asked Sigmund.

" It is a rather funny story " said Nal;

" You see. After a long war, between the Æsir and Vanir, they agreed to establish a truce in exchange for 'hostages' the Æsir got Njörðr, and his two children; Freyr and Freya. The Vanir got Hænir and Mímir "

Nellekcm continued;

" The Vanir immediately made Hænir their chef, and everything was perfect. Hænir was the wisest and greatest chieftain that the Vanir ever had, as long as he had Mímir by his side. So one day, there was a meeting, which Mímir was not present for. So whenever the Vanir asked Hænir on what to do; the chieftain always said; Let everybody decide. The Vanir sensing that they have been tricked. Beheaded Mímir, and then sent Hænir back to the Æsir. Odin, not wanting to lose Mímir's knowledge and wisdom. Cast a spell so that Mímir's severed head would not rot and could talk "

" But… what happened to Hænir? " asked Sigmund.

" The poor forgotten god now lives in Bilskirnir, located at Þrúðvangr. It is the home of Thor and Sif and their children. It is said that Bilskirnir has 540 rooms, and Hænir lives in one of these rooms, hidden, ashamed " said Nal.

" It should also be mentioned that Hænir is one of the few gods who will survive Ragnarok " said Nellekcm.

Sigmund now noticed something.

" Uhm guys… Veðrfölnir is picking on an animal bigger than himself "

The sons of Gandalf looked and then both said;

" Fool of a koot! "

Risa-Örn scared the animal away, and everyone enjoyed the rest of the ride.

Álfheimr

Sigmund, Olaf and Fle were all three in Álfheimr, the home of the light-elves.

The elves were playing a song.

The song was about how Olaf and Fle met, fell in love and then married each other.

The song the elves played was so magical, and so beautiful, that it was like the whole of Álfheimr was playing alone with them.

Sigmund noticed that Olaf and Fle felt unworthy of such an honor.

But the Nephilim also noticed how Olaf- and Fle's love just grew stronger and stronger.

The song was over.

Everyone present applauded the masterful performance.

A grand feast was now held, and later that night, Sigmund, Olaf and Fle were all three sitting on a boat that was gently riding through the beautiful scenery of Álfheimr.

Even a masterful painter would have a hard time putting the scene to art, which is why it would be impossible for me to put it into words.

Just know that Dilmun, Eden and the Elysium Fields were this day, put to shame.

Olaf and Fle were sitting close to one another, while Sigmund was at the other end of the boat, looking out at the water; which reflected the night sky.

The wind was perfect.

The atmosphere was just right.

Everything was so ideal, that Sigmund was slowly falling asleep.

Finally.

The Nephilim lost the battle.

Fle gently placed Sigmund's head on her lap, which did make Olaf feel oddly envious.

The boat ride continued, in the land which was truly like; heaven on Earth.

Múspellsheimr

" I don't like it here… " said Grand Bois.

" I know what you mean… " said Sigmund.

Sigmund, Sigurd, Siegfried, Kriemhild and Brynhildr were all five within the land of fire.

Múspellsheimr looked like Earth if Yellowstone had erupted, with a dash of Pompeii.

Everywhere Sigmund looked, he saw dirty-storms.

" So… who was it that you guys wanted to fight? " said Sigmund.

" His name is; Balrog-Surtr " said Sigurd.

" He is the Prince of Múspellsheimr and the son of Surtr; the wielder of Lævateinn, and fair Sinmara, " said Siegfried.

" He wields a flaming sword and whip, " said Brynhildr.

" It is said that Balrog-Surtr traps his enemy with his whip, and then stabs his foe after having brought the enemy close " said Kriemhild.

" And you four want to fight him?... " said Sigmund, a bit confused.

The four warriors simply gave Sigmund a smile which said; Yes.

" I don't like it here… " said Grand Bois.

" I know, I know… " said Sigmund, understanding.

The journey continued.

The journey to find the Prince of Múspellsheimr.

The four warriors, with Sigmund watching, killed many inhabitants of Múspellsheimr.

Their killing did not go unnoticed.

The land of fire becomes more consumed with fire.

From all the volcanoes came forth molten lava, and all the dirty-storms intensified.

" He is here, " said the four warriors.

" I DON'T LIKE IT HERE! " yelled Grand Bois.

" I KNOW! " yelled Sigmund.

From out the brimstone came forth the colossal Prince of Múspellsheimr; Balrog-Surtr.

The four viking-warriors readied their legendary weapons.

Sigurd now pointed Gram towards Balrog-Surtr and then he said;

" You shall fall! "

Their clash was so fierce which made Sigmund yell;

" I DON'T LIKE IT HERE! "

But.

The Prince was not killed, only defeated.

Thankfully, the four warriors knew better to kill the son of Surtr.

For had they killed his son, then Ragnarok would have come early.

(Plus. Surtr saw the experience as good exercise for his boy. After all. The Prince was constantly busy reenacting a certain scene with the sons of Gandalf.)

Svartálfaheimr

" Hey Starkaðr, why are we in the lands of the dark elves? " asked Sigmund, as he was sitting on Starkaðr's colossal shoulder.

" Well… you could say that I don't have the best kind of relationship with the light elves… " said Starkaðr, sounding like he was hiding something, but Sigmund decided not to push any further.

Sigmund looked around the lands of Svartálfaheimr, where he saw Black Beauty, Black Cat, Queen of the Night and Odessa.

(By the way, these are flowers. Black Beauty; Pansy. Black Cat; Petunia. Queen of the Night; Tulip. Odessa; Calla Lily)

Sigmund now noticed a black rose which had shades of red.

" Wow… " uttered Sigmund, amazed.

A vine now picked up the black rose and then gave it to Sigmund.

" Thanks Grand Bois, " said Sigmund.

The god was just smiling.

The scenery that Sigmund was seeing was truly unique, and very beautiful.

" Starkaðr, you never did mention why we are here? " said Sigmund, as the giant continued walking.

" Have you ever heard of Óglaðnir? " said Starkaðr.

" No, who is she? "

" You could call her the Jotnar version of Freya.

The word; beautiful'' would be an insult to describe Óglaðnir's alluring and magnificent figure and features " said Starkaðr, sounding like he was under a spell.

" You still have not answered my question… " said Sigmund, knowing where the conversation was heading.

" Deep within Svartálfaheimr lies; the Black Rose Draupnir "

" What is that? " said Sigmund, surprised.

" It is a ring, and very much like its sister-ring, it makes copies of itself. The rings that get created from the Black Rose Draupnir, are so… Honestly- I can't even find the words to describe them " said Starkaðr, who for a second was lost for words.

" Just know. It is said that wearing one of the rings of the Black Rose Draupnir is like wearing a rose around your finger " said Starkaðr.

Sigmund paused for a moment.

" Starkaðr… why do you want one of these rings? " said Sigmund, with a smug smile.

The eight-armed giant got all shy and embarrassed.

" I see… " said Sigmund, now knowing why they were in Svartálfaheimr.

Starkaðr and Sigmund had finally reached the sea of rings within the lands of the black elves.

" Woah… " uttered Sigmund.

But the Nephilim was not "woahing" at the sea of rings.

Sigmund finally saw some dark elves, both male and female.

The dark elves had red eyes, pale white skin, and coal black hair.

They truly embodied a beauty of the night.

" Sigmund. I need you to do me a favor " said Starkaðr.

Sigmund now realized why Starkaðr had brought him along.

" You want me to take one of the rings? " said Sigmund, with a smile.

" Yes please " said Starkaðr, as Sigmund jumped on his hand, and the giant now lowered the Nephilim to the sea of rings.

Sigmund now took one ring.

" Take one more. Just in case " said Starkaðr.

Sigmund now took one more ring.

" Wait… these rings are small… how will they fit on the finger of a giant? " said Sigmund, as he jumped back on Starkaðr's shoulder.

" The sons of Gandalf promised that they would enlarge the ring. All I had to do was bring one " said Starkaðr.

Sigmund and the giant now went to Jötunheimr, where the sons of Gandalf were waiting for them.

Starkaðr later sought out Óglaðnir.

He found her.

He then proposed, and she thankfully accepted.

Helheim

Sigmund, Troke and Hermóðr were all three walking towards Helheim.

They were all carrying some goods with them; like food and clothes, and even some letters.

From time to time.

Hermóðr would bring these things to his brother Baldur in the underworld.

(The letters are from various individuals who miss Baldur, like his mother; Frigg)

" You two really did not need to trouble yourselves " said Hermóðr.

" Ah, come on. We are happy to help " said Troke.

" Hey Troke, I have a question " said Sigmund.

" Yes? "

" Are you really Archangel Azrael's assistance? " asked Sigmund.

" Indeed I am. Sir Azrael lets me help him, while teaching me his ways " said Troke.

" I have another question, but this one is for Hermóðr, " said Sigmund.

" Yeah? "

" For how long have you been doing this job? " asked Sigmund.

" I have been the messenger of the gods for as long as I can remember, " said Hermóðr.

" I see, let me rephrase my question; for how long have you been carrying these gifts for Baldur? "

Hermóðr paused for a moment.

" Ever since he died… " said Hermóðr.

Sigmund could sense something was off.

" Do you feel guilty? "

" What could I feel guilty for? "

" You tell me, " said Sigmund.

Hermóðr meditated for a moment.

" I feel like; I have let everybody down… " said Hermóðr.

" Wait, what? Why? " said Troke, sounding surprised.

" I was supposed to bring Baldur, my brother back to everyone… but I did not… and I feel guilty… " said Hermóðr.

" But… was it not Loki who did not weep- so that Baldur may return. Why are you beating yourself up? " said Troke.

Hermóðr just sighed and was quiet.

" I think that you are full of shit " said Sigmund.

Hermóðr stopped and then looked back at the little (sassy) Nephilim.

(Troke did his best not to giggle)

" Pardon? "

" You are full of shit "

" Yeah, I got that, I want an answer "

Sigmund was now the one who sighed.

" The reason you feel guilty is because; you get to see Baldur when you deliver the gifts. Your mother doesn't, your father doesn't, but you do! That is why you feel like shit "

Hermóðr just looked at the sassy child- who also had a smug face.

" You know what… " said Hermóðr.

Hermóðr did not finish.

He instead just smiled and then continued walking, and so did Sigmund and Troke.

" So Troke. How did you and Hermóðr meet? " said Sigmund.

" Ah. It is a tale filled with adventure! " said Troke.

" And too much drama… " said Hermóðr.

Troke now told the story of; how he and Hermóðr met.

Troke finished telling the story as they had now reached the gates of Helheim.

Hermóðr knocked and Hel opened her gates.

Sigmund quickly threw a treat to Garmr, as they were walking in.

" Woah… " said Sigmund, as he was looking around the kingdom of Hel.

The kingdom was both beautiful and scary, it looked like a mix of both heaven and hell.

Hermóðr knew where Baldur's house was, so he led the way.

They had all three now reached the palace that belonged to Baldur.

The palace was no Breiðablik, but it would do.

The two brothers now noticed each other.

" Brother… " said Baldur with a smile.

" Baldur… " said Hermóðr with tears in his eyes.

The two brothers now embraced one another.

Nanna; Baldur's wife and Litr; Baldur's servant now came out as well.

Everyone now cheered and partied.

But like all good things.

It had to end.

After having said their goodbyes.

Sigmund, Hermóðr and Troke now all returned to the land of the living.

Niðavellir

Sigmund and Trotter were both within Niðavellir, the home of the dwarves.

Tor wanted to pay the four heavenly-dwarfs smiths a visit.

These four dwarve brothers were known as Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri; the four heavenly-dwarfs.

Tor asked the four brothers to add someone to his sword-hammer; Mjøl.

When the brothers asked what, Tor simply replied with;

" The ability to return to my hand, after being thrown "

Tor was a good friend of the dwarfs, so the four brothers agreed, and carried out Tor's request.

While Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri were working on improving the weapon.

Sigmund and Tor took a walk through the land of the masters of craft.

Sigmund was amazed by all the amazing inventions; from houses, transportation, to even mundane stuff like walking- in the sense that the dwarfs had built machines that looked a lot like the AT-ST Walker, and others of its like.

Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri had now finished improving Mjøl.

Tor and Sigmund decided to finish their journey in Niðavellir, by fishing in one of the most popular lakes in the land of the dwarfs- the Bilbo-Lake-Baggins.

The warrior and the Nephilim were now enjoying the quiet scenery of the lake, but God forbid that they find a ring there.

" Man. I have not even gotten a bite, and you are already on your 10th catch… " said Sigmund, while Tor put a 11th fish into his bucket.

" It is all about patience " said Tor, as he now added number 12.

Sigmund's competitive spirit now got the best of him.

So he took some of Tor's Longbottom leaves, put it on his hook, and then threw it deep into the lake, where his rod immediately started to shake.

" I got a bite! " said Sigmund, excitedly.

Tor was happy, but he then noticed- what Sigmund had caught, was something that wanted to eat him.

The waters of the lake now shook violently, as a great giant leviathan-like snake now towered over Sigmund and Tor.

" Who is that?… what is that?... " said Sigmund, greatly amazed and dumbfounded at the creature's size and dragon-like features.

" That is Ouroboros- The First World-Serpent " said Tor, with Mjøl ready in his hand.

Ouroboros glared down at Sigmund and Tor.

Tor was ready to give his all, as lighting could be seen coming from Mjøl.

Ouroboros opened his mouth.

" Don't let his venom touch you! " yelled Tor.

" Good evening chaps " said Ouroboros with a monstrous British accent.

Tor and Sigmund removed their cloaks slowly.

They could now see that Ouroboros had the kind face of a monster.

" Hi… " said Sigmund, confused.

" Good day. I must say that it has been many years since I last tasted Longbottom Leaves, not since the Grey- who later became White, last visited these lands. By chance, do you perhaps have any more of those heavenly leaves? " said Ouroboros with a smile.

" I have a whole pot full, " said Tor.

" Good heavens! Do you gentlemen perhaps want to share a bit with me? In exchange- I will make some of my famous tea " said Ouroboros.

" You can make tea? " said Sigmund, both confused and amazed.

" Indeed so. my tea is so famous that even Alatáriel herself came to taste it " said Ouroboros, sounding almost proud.

Sigmund and Tor just looked at one another.

They both then shrug their shoulders.

All three now enjoyed a nice cup of tea, while Tor and Ouroboros enjoyed a good smoke of Longbottom leaves.

(Sigmund was too young for such a thing)

The weather was fair.

The water was calm.

And Ouroboros made a Nessie out of smoke.

Ásgarður

The Nephilim, the Orc and the wolf now had the great honor of being inside the wall that surrounded Asgard, they were within the city of the gods.

King Sigurd Ring is favored by Odin himself.

Which means that the King's people can come and go from Odin's kingdom as they please.

Sigmund met and talked with many within Asgard, like the fallen warriors, the Valkyries.

Sigmund even got to talk to Jack; who was showing Clotilde lothman von saxe-meiningen Redtooth- the daughter of Erof Redtooth, around Asgard.

Sigmund, Deofol and Váli were all invited to dine at Bilskirnir, the home of the thunder-god.

Within Thor's home lives his wife; Sif, his two children; Trud and Modi and his three servants;

Røskva, Tjalfe and Logi- the fire giant.

Now.

Normally it would take three days to cook a cow, viking-style, but let us just say that Sif is overjoyed to have Logi there.

For with Logi's help.

The cow gets done in less than 2 seconds, and yes, I said seconds.

Everyone was now eating their fill.

" Father? " said Modi.

" Yes? "

" Can you tell a story? Food always goes down better while listening to a tale " said Modi with a smile.

Thor let out a viking's laugh.

" Ha-ha. Of course my boy. Any recommendations? " said Thor, as he looked around the table.

But everyone just shook their heads.

Sigmund however, said this;

" When I was in Niðavellir, I heard of this All-Wise dwarf- whose name was Alvíss. I heard that he was supposed to marry your daughter, but I don't see a dwarf in our midst.. " said Sigmund, while looking around.

Thor was quiet for a moment.

The thunder-god then let out another viking-laugh.

" Ha-ha. Oh, but you see, little Nephilim. He is here " said Thor with a smile.

" Where? " said Sigmund with child-like curiosity.

Thor simply pointed to the rock in the middle of the room, and then said;

" There "

" The rock? " said Sigmund, confused.

" Yep " said Thor with another smile.

"What happened? " said Sigmund, yet again with child-like curiosity.

" You see, my boy. It all started one day, when the once dwarf known as Alvíss came to my home while I was gone. Now, Alvíss had somehow tricked my wife; Sif into letting him marry my daughter; Trud, and when I came back home and heard of this outrage, I was red with anger! But, I felt pity for the small dwarf, so I made a deal with him. If he could answer all my questions, then I would let him marry my daughter- Thor now took a sip of his drink, while everyone was on the edge of their seats- Now, the dwarf truly lived up to his title of All-Wise. I asked him; What do the Æsir call the sun? What is the sun called by the Vanir? By the Elves? By the Dwarves? By the Jotunns? By the Frost-giants? And so on. What do they call the moon? The earth? The stone? The water? The fire? The tree? The bird? And so on. Alvíss answered all my questions, to the point, where he only focused on answering my questions. Now, there is something not many know about the dwarves- they turn into stone by the sun. I kept on asking Alvíss questions, and when sunrise came, he turned into the rock you can see over there " said Thor, as he was again pointing at the white-rock.

" Woah… " said Sigmund, amazed.

" Tell one more story! " said Sigmund.

Thor giggled.

" Not now, for now, eat your food before it gets cold. It is now time to eat! "
