Chapter 3 - Chapter Three - The Family

I turn away from Aviana for a moment to look at my husband, gesturing with my head for him to take over my current position with my father's sword against her neck. He does as I ask which allows me to walk over to the door just behind me and Sam's thrones which Sam himself entered the room through just before.

I lean my head just out of the door and call the names of the people I need to help me explain my plan to my mind-numbingly stupid older sister. "Damon! Jessica! Oliver!"

Mere moments later, Damon joins me and I almost laugh at Aviana's shocked expression. The two of us walk over to where Sam is still standing in the middle of the room with the sword held against my sister's neck. Damon leans over to Sam and whispers just loud enough for both me and Aviana to hear him as well, "I told Jessica and Oliver that she was here and they both asked to be the one to take her life. I told them that they should ask you and Liza."

Damon's revelation causes both me and Sam to laugh, while Aviana seems to be getting increasingly terrified. As we laugh I hear Jessica's soft voice behind us, "Why are we laughing?"

I turn to see my children Jessica and Oliver standing behind me, Jessica holding my youngest daughter Katie in her arms. As they walk over to us, Katie reaches out towards me and makes grabbing motions until I walk over and take her from her sister's arms.

"This is my plan. You remember my son Oliver don't you? I gave birth to him shortly after you ruthlessly murdered the love of my life with the help of our other sister Brooke. He's a bit angry about that and he and his younger sister Jessica both want revenge. I, being the loving mother that I am, would never deny my children the opportunity to avenge their father."

"Why does he need avenging? He's standing in front of me in perfect health." Aviana reaches up to push Sam away from her as she speaks but a single growl from Oswald reminds her that it wouldn't be a good idea to cross us.

"That wasn't your intention though, was it your majesty?" Oliver speaks for the first time as he slowly walks over to where Aviana and his father are standing and takes my sword from Sam's grasp.

My sister barely has any time to react before my son cuts off her head in one swift movement. It rolls across the room when it hits the floor and it comes to a stop by my feet. I take one look at my older sister's lifeless eyes before I reach down and lift the crown off her head, placing it on Katie's instead.

Jessica looks at her brother, her lips formed into a pout. "Oliver! I wanted to do it!"

"You can do the next one." Oliver smiles up at his younger sister as he wipes the sword clean on the hem of Aviana's dress. I just look over to Sam and when we make eye contact he just shrugs, causing me to laugh.
