Chapter 4 - Chapter Four - The Slaughter

It's been 2 days since Oliver killed Aviana and the kingdom still aren't aware of her death, they simply think that their Queen was kidnapped by enemy forces. My other sisters, Brooke and Cassandra, are filling in for Aviana in her duties during her absence.

Not even my children or my brother know about me and Sam's plan for the day. We want to hand deliver the news of our older sisters' death and kill them both at the same time. I know that Damon will struggle with the second part of our plan since Cassandra is his twin and they have always been extremely close.

Currently Damon and I are on our way to their palace with Oliver and Jessica sitting opposite us in the carriage. Oswald is flying in front of the carriage and pulling us to our destination, Sam is up front directing him instead of our normal guy to keep our mission discreet and Katie is curled up asleep in Damon's lap, hugging him tightly.

It doesn't take long for us to arrive at my childhood home and I notice two figures making their way out of the front door. As they draw closer to us, I notice the familiar piercing green eyes of Cassandra as well as the deep brown pools of Brooke's eyes.

"Brooke! Cassie!" I shout towards my sisters as I leave the carriage, taking a still sleeping Katie from Damon's arms so he can make his way out following Oliver and Jessica.

Cassandra's eyes snap up and meet mine at the sound of her name. Her gaze sweeps across the five human-like creatures and the dragon assembled in front of her before it softens as her eyes land on the familiar centaur trying to make his way out of the carriage.

"Why are you here Eliza?" Brooke spits out my name with so much venom that I almost stumble back in shock at my sister's aggressive attitude. I was never really close with Brooke, especially compared to my relationship with Damon, but she was never exactly violent or even so much as slightly passive aggressive towards me.

"I heard about Aviana's disappearance and I came to express my deepest condolences towards my sisters." My response is dripping with sarcasm and I know I have an evident smirk on my face.

"If I find out that you or any of your little demons were responsible for this then you will be sorry."

"Well then, it's a shame I have no idea what you're talking about."

My sister glares at me and Cassandra places a hand on her shoulder, evidently in an attempt to calm her down. As she is attempting - although her attempts are in vain - to calm down our older sister, Cassandra's eyes meet mine and she gives me a small smile that I eagerly return.

"Brooke, why don't we let Eliza and Damon introduce us to a few people before you decide to lock up or execute our baby sister?" Cassandra's soft voice is a contrast to the harsh tone that Brooke was addressing me with earlier.

"Whatever." Brooke sounds uninterested but her gaze seems curious as it sweeps over my children and my husband.
