"But not at the expense of our feelings Fazrani?" said Hafiz in despair because he really knew how stubborn a woman named Fazrani Aisyah was.
"I never sacrifice any feelings for Hafiz. I am sincere with everything that happens, just as I sincerely give my life to children who need love and knowledge from me." said Fazrani, giving Hafiz an overview of her heart and mind.
"Don't you suffer if you don't live with the people you love?" Hafiz asked staring closely at the face of the woman he loved.
"As Hafiz said, we actually only live eternally by loving God alone. I'll try to stick to it. Hopefully, even though we are not matched in this world, we will be matched in the afterlife. You understand what I mean, right? I don't need to explain anything anymore. Hafiz? because you are my teacher who knows better in this matter." said Fazrani who tried to give up Hafiz's love.
"I will try to spare your love for other women." said Fazrani getting up from her seat leaving Hafiz who was contemplating all of Fazrani's words.
"Fazrani." called Laila to come with Habibah.
"Yes ma'am." said Fazrani kissing the back of Laila and Habibah's hand.
"Fazrani tell us both, why did you choose Allam? why not Hafiz?" asked Laila followed by a nod of Habibah's head.
"Mom, I just talked at length with Hafiz, and I hope Hafiz understands." Fazrani replied with a smile even though her heart had a feeling that had mingled into one and what she needed now was calm.
"Fazrani, Hafiz is not hurt, right?" asked Habibah with her teary eyes.
"If you can say it like that, we are both hurt Mom ... but we both have to try to let each other go." answered Fazrani in a low voice.
"Now Hafiz where is Fazrani?" Habibah asked, worried about Hafjz's situation.
"Sit next to the village hall ma'am." Fazrani replied, who deliberately left Hafiz so that Hafiz could think calmly.
"Okay, I want to accompany Hafiz first, from here you still go home, right??" Habibah asked, hoping Fazrani would change her mind.
"Still Mom, because I still have to talk to Hafiz and settle things well." replied Fazrani trying to smile.
"Alright Fazrani, I'll stay first .. Please go to Hafiz first." said Habibah leaving Laila and Fazrani.
"Fazrani, tell me why do you want to be Allam's husband when Allam has hurt your heart?" asked Laila with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Mother, later when everything is finished I will tell you everything, now will you take me to the holy house?" Fazrani asked, wanting to know the punishment that Allam would receive.
"Thank you Fazrani, you still want to forgive Allam, Come on, come with mom." Laila replied, taking Fazrani's hand to the holy house where Allam is.
Arriving at a very small house, Fazrani saw Husnan and Affandi as well as five other people standing outside the house.
"My husband, is Allam already in shackles??" Laila asked sadly.
"After this Laila, we wait for the village doctor's treatment to finish." Affandi replied with a face that looked tired.
Fazrani, who is standing next to Laila, becomes nervous about Allam's condition because his wound is really bad.
"Mom, can I go inside." said Fazrani who wanted to know the situation of Allam.
Laila looked at Affandi and Husnan for approval.
"Let Fazrani in." Said Husnan, not siding with anyone.
"Come in Fazrani, but please take off her shoes." said Laila reminding Fazrani.
With a pounding heart and a little fear, Fazrani took off her shoes and went inside.
She saw the village doctor treating Allam on his side because his chest and back were injured.
Both of Fazrani's eyes are glued to a shackle that is attached to the bamboo hall which Allam now occupies.
Fazrani could not imagine how Allam could sleep later if his feet were shackled. And what about Allam when he spent seven days with very serious injuries.
Whether out of pity or something, Fazrani's tears trickled down her eyelids.
Fazrani snapped out of her reverie when he heard Allam's voice groaning and moaning as the doctor treated his torn chest and torn back bleeding.
Unable to see Allam's condition anymore, Fazrani came out of the holy house with a tight chest.
"What's up Fazrani? your face looks pale." Laila asked frantically.
"It's okay Mom, now let's just go back, OK? later this afternoon we come back here." said Fazrani, who could not bear to tell Laila about Allam's situation.
After saying goodbye to Husnan and Affandi, Laila escorted Fazrani back to Hafiz's house because Fazrani still didn't know the way back.
"Until here, Fazrani, I'll pick you up in the afternoon?" said Laila with a heart that was both sad and happy.
"Yes ma'am." replied Fazrani with a smile.
"Take care of yourself Fazrani." said Laila leaving Fazrani who was still standing in front of the house.
With slow steps Fazrani walked into the house. She saw Habibah crying softly.
"What's up Mom? why are you crying?" asked Fazrani as a worried heart, really she had forgotten Hafiz for a moment.
"Hafiz is still in Fazrani's room, doesn't want to talk and won't eat. I am worried about the situation, please persuade Hafiz and give understanding again that the match will not be switched." said Habibah sadly.
"I'm going to see Hafiz now, Mom." said Fazrani in a low voice, then walked to Hafiz's room.
"Hafiz, I am Fazrani ... we can talk for a moment." said Fazrani waiting at the door.
"Just go in Fazrani." hafiz replied as he opened the room door.
Fazrani sits on a chair at Hafiz's desk.
"How about your decision Fazrani? Do you still choose Allam?" Hafiz asked in a low voice.
"Yes Hafiz, I sincerely apologize to you." said Fazrani with a bowed face.
"It's okay, maybe we are not mate .. if we were mate it would not have ended like this." said Hafiz trying to calm himself not to be disappointed.
"Maybe with us letting each other go it will be easier for us to forget our feelings for each other." said Fazrani with a little relieved heart.
"Yes Fazrani, what you said is very true, we can still relate to being good brothers." said Hafiz trying to let go of Fazrani's love for Allam.
