As Sam played with a toy, a broken action figure resembling some sort of superhero, I anxiously waited for his parents to come home.
Sheila laid on my lap as I rubbed her head.
Her drool had soaked through my jeans but I was loving her so much.
It seems dogs are very loyal to people they like.
Farmer Dan entered the house, took a look in Sam's room, and stared at me, "You boys alright in here? How are you Jonathan?"
Sam and I looked up, Farmer Dan was covered in dirt and sweat, but I distinctly remember that Sam nor I offered my name at any point, "Farmer Dan, we're doing great. I am happy to be here with fellow humans."
Dan motioned for me to come into the hallway.
Prying Sheila off my lap forcing her to grunt with displeasure, I did my best human walk to meet Dan.
He leaned down to my ear, "Don't be alarmed but I know who you are."
We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, "Sir, I'm just a lost boy lucky enough to find you all.
He continued to stare as he reached into his pocket, "Jonathan, how do you think I knew your name before you ever told me?"
Dan pulled a leather object from his pocket. One side had an ID card and the other a shiny gold badge.
A slight smile covered his face, "I'm FBI. We had word that we would have some visitors in this area sometime this week. Welcome to Earth."
I knew I was in a world of trouble. This was probably the part where the human eats me.
It wasn't.
What he did next would change everything forever though.
