Sam's parents arrived just before sundown.
Farmer FBI Dan told us to wait on the porch and approached them.
Sam's Mom was a small framed woman, she had an exhausted look plastered on her face.
His Dad appeared irritated, he was a large built man that looks like he could eat a horse and still be hungry.
Dan spoke with his hands as much as he did with his voice.
Sam's Mom and Dad listened attentively, occasionally looking over Dan's shoulder to peer at me.
In the end, they shook their heads in agreement and proceeded to approach Sam and me.
Sam's Mom smiled, "Hey there Jonathan, how are you sweetheart?"
Before I could speak Sam jumped in, "He's fine Mom, he's going to be my brother."
Sam's Dad chuckled, "Hold on there Sammy, there are rules for this type of stuff but I think we have a work around."
Sam's Dad leaned down close to me with an extended hand, "Jonathan, I'm Mr. Wilder. We're going to take care of you bud. Don't worry about a thing."
I gently shook his hand, careful not to deactivate my cloaking device.
I've studied humans for quite a while and generally when they say take care of you, it meant get rid of you, permanently.
Mr. Wilder smirked, "For now, you're going to stay with Dan in the cabin out back. We'll figure out a better solution as time goes by."
I shook my head and mustered a smile.
Dan winked at me and motioned me towards his cabin.
I wasn't sure but I may very well be walking into a trap now.
