Sam chuckled, so I did too.
When he stopped laughing, "Where are your parents? Where's your home?"
I reached for my card again but decided to go with something more believable, "My Mom and Dad went on a trip and they never came back. I've been on my own ever since."
His face turned sad, "Wow, well…I can ask my parents if you can be my brother."
I nodded in agreement.
