As I opened my eyes I was met with a sharp ringing in my ears and a blinding light. I began to move my arms and legs but I was dumbfounded as I stared at a pair of infant arms and legs. Still piecing together the pieces of what was happening, the light began to dim rapidly and the ringing dulled only to become the sound of a crying women. Startled at the new sounds from around me I tried to move my neck to see what was happening around me but to no avail. Suddenly, I was pulled out of no where and felt a pain where my navel was only to see a detached pipe like piece of meat. The first words I heard in this world shocked me out of my daze and I grasped the situation at hand. "M'am, Sir." An elderly woman's voice stated in a cheerful tone. "Congratulations, it's a healthy baby boy."
With those words echoing in my head I realised what had just happened. I had been reincarnated into a baby boy. Once again I was picked up with my neck supported in a way that made me feel like all my worries were washed away I was handed into the soft, warm and comforting arms of a whimpering mothering. My face slowly being covered in salty tears I began to whimper and cry. My heart and head racing I thought to myself that if this wasn't a real reincarnation but a dream then what a cruel punishment for my sins. After wailing along with the woman holding me for at least 10 minutes we both calmed down. "Have you decided on a name yet m'am?" a young woman spoke. Both people in my view shifted there gazes to me staring at me with smiles on their faces. "Yes we have." Said the woman holding me. "He will be called Alex. Alex Luthor."
As I heard those words my head begged and pleaded me to never let go of this woman holding me. I began to realise there was also a man standing next to the woman holding me who I assumed were my mother and father. "Hey Alex, thanks for coming into this world little one. I cant wait to see you grow up big and strong." My fathers voice conversed affectionately, protectively and gratefully. As I was about to wail again for the second time something happened all over the world.
All around the world at that one moment the earth splintered and cracked revealing pits of darkness as far as the eye could see along with a faint tinge of a red glow. Water from oceans, rivers and lakes rushed into the splits 100's of kilometres long. The clouds ripped apart making the sky rumble revealing meteors falling at earth at unprecedented speed. Floating Islands that hadn't been discovered yet where unveiled as well. Everyone in the pale grey and white hospital rooms face's began to turn into faces of shock and disbelief. I gripped my mother harder than i'd ever held onto my most precious artefacts in my previous life as I sought comfort closure and safety. My mother instantly covered me with her body and my father began to radiate a faint blue glow before jumping onto both of us as well.
As the phenomena that could only be described as 'godly' came to a close my mother and father were still cradling me protectively with their eyes closed. On that day something changed in me. In my past life my lack of attention and parents brought me down a path of attention seeking leading me to get my sister killed and become King. If the me from that life had a choice between either life right now he would do anything to achieve the one I had right now. I began to slowly sniffle and cry as I curiously examined my mother and father.
My mother had pointy ears indicating that she was of the elf race, long gun smoke like silver hair along with a set of emerald like green eyes with defined facial features like a noble woman. My father on the other hand had pale grey skin and looked rougher around the edges with colourless white hair that ran to his shoulders along with features that showed his hardened muscles and well trained body. My mother was whispering to me while protectively holding me to her bosom "its okay Alex don't worry." Surprisingly I actually felt less helpless when she said those words to me. Slowly moving her head away from mine as well as my father off her back she shot me a smile that could cure the most depressed salary man in existence. If this world had any.
After waiting about three days in a small bed with my mother and father in the hospital a young nurse came in showing me a quick smile before looking at my parents. "Hello Mr and Mrs Luthor. I have come to inform you that you will be discharged in one hour so please get your stuff ready to leave." As she left the room my father who i had found was named Arthur and my Mother named Tessia shot both of us a smile clearly showing his fatigue and began to pack up clothes and other items they brought with them to the hospital. My mother and father began conversing with each other while I was feeding off something that I didn't get to see in my past life which for some reason made my face burn with embarrassment.
As we left the hospital I was strapped to my mothers chest as the workers thanked my parents for their patronage and gave them congratulations as well. As my mother and father stepped out of the light wooden doors I saw a breathtaking spectacle. As far as the eye could see was either lush forests, cities, Barron plains or swamps. It wasn't just my face that was shocked it occurred in both my parents' faces as well. My father dropped to his knees as he burst out laughing at the different wilderness around them. My mother managed to calm down and speak before anyone else could. "What happened to the land? It was always just the forest and the cities but why are there different environments here as well? Why is our land round now?" Full of questions she began to slowly walk forward putting a hand on my fathers shoulder. Both parents shocked at the scene immediately began to worry about their home as they walked down a dirt road toward the lush forest.
