Bale shows me the way to one of the tents inside the camp.
I walk inside and am greeted by a woman wearing a white overcoat. She looks like a traditional nurse. How alike is my world compared to this one?
She greets me with a smile. "Come, sit down. My name is Doctor Venia."
I smile back, "I'm Roman."
I sit down on a nearby bed, I'm the only person in this tent.
The woman gives me what seems like a normal check up, using various tools I thought I wouldn't see here. The first thing I noticed was a stethoscope, how advanced are the people here? I don't know much about these tools but they have to be fairly modern.
The woman uses other tools a modern day doctor would use. Then, I feel her place her hands on my forehead. Suddenly, I feel a warmth surround me entire body, but the feeling is most intense around my ears. I feel my energy restore and my ears feel refreshed and the pain from the earlier yells fades.
The woman smiles at me once again as she sees my confusion. "You are from Valheel right? I hear that they're much more strict on the use of spirits there. My spirit has abilities related to healing, pretty amazing right? Spirits are amazing beings." She says, going on a mini-rant about her love of spirits.
"She is a talker this one, reminds me of some old friends. By the way, you are quite perceptive. Have you always thought about things this much?" I hear a familiar voice echo throughout my mind.
Liliana!
"I will take away the barrier between our thoughts." Liliana says to me, noticing I'm unable to talk with her unless I speak out loud.
As soon as she finishes her sentence, I speak with her.
"Where have you been?! I've lied my way into this camp and I'm pretty sure they're going to catch us soon." I say.
"Soon meaning right now?" She asks
I was so engrossed with Liliana that I didn't realize Doctor Venia's newfound fear of me.
She takes a step back from me.
"Sir Bale! I sense a strong spirit within him!" She yells with fear.
As she yells I feel her voice reaching dangerous levels until suddenly I feel energy surround my ears.
"Sorry if your ears have been injured without me. These people use physical augmentation way too much. Anyways, don't worry about this, now that I am here I can clear us of any suspicion." Liliana says to me.
After Doctor Venia yells, she runs out of the tent and as soon as she disappears, Bale dashes in front of me within a matter of seconds; that fact that my eyes can track him surprises me.
His fist reaches me in an instant and hits me with full force.
With no time to react, I'm launched into the tent, pulling it off the ground and flying with it until I crash against the dirt.
On the ground -- wrapped up in the tent, I can feel Liliana take over my body.
"Don't worry Roman, I will take care of this." She says with confidence.
I stand up and fling the tent off of me. My eyes shine blue and I can sense Bale release his full strength. It's borderline uncomfortable, his energy feels like it's pushing me towards the ground -- as if trying to submit an inferior being.
However, as soon as the energy becomes almost suffocating I feel my own body explode in energy. Mine overpowers his in an instant, releasing the suffocation I felt and forcing Bale to take a knee.
I laugh within my mind, just who is Liliana?
Bale slowly looks up at me, battling the force of Liliana's energy.
"Who...Are...You?" He says with tension.
I walk until I'm right in front of Bale and look down at him. "I am Liliana, Telum of the 10th King of Noctis."
