My confused face started to look up at him when suddenly the nurse to our right pulled out a syringe and injected me with a murky looking substance. I tried to wriggle away but I was caught by two of the guards. My eyes found the wardens smiling face. It was the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
I cracked both of my eyes open, slowly. I tried to sit up. Clank. Clank. What? There were restraints on my wrists and ankles. I chained to this 'bed' I had been sleeping on. It was a gurney. A cold unforgiving piece of metal and I was stuck.
The door creaked loudly. The warden stepped in.
"Hello". he called, with a cold voice.
He looked me over then smiled.
"I warned you." he said. "I didn't want to have to be the bad guy."
I glared at him.
"Why Michelle?" he said feigning sadness. "Why did you have to lie?"
I pulled my eyebrows together.
"Lie?" I asked "I didn't lie." I stated as I began to pull on the chains around my wrists. "I didn't lie so can you let me go?" He smirked and looked at me. "But you did." he said "I asked you tell me EVERYTHING." "I did!" I hollered. "I told you.." "No!" he cut me off. "You forgot to mention someone." I was confused. Someone? "The guard? Are you talking about the guard?" I asked. "No." he said firmly. He sat down, sitting near me. "One of the surveillance cameras found you talking to someone. I assume you weren't talking to yourself, no?" I thought hard, still confused until I realized. PURPLE EYES.
