At that moment, Anubis thought he had killed Gabriel, yet, he still felt the existence of life inside Gabriel. He laid his head on the ground and he heard Gabriel's heart was still beating. He then slowly reached Gabriel. As Anubis was using the crook to kill Gabriel, Gabriel instantly used his hand to block the attack. The spear went through his hand, but that didn't bother him. Gabriel was roaring intensely, he slowly stood up and took the crook. Even Anubis was in shock. Gabriel used the crook to fight Anubis in many directions. Anubis blocked the attacks with skills. Gabriel attacked in the left, Anubis dodged to the right, but he fell for Gabriel's trap. He was punched in the face. While Anubis was concerned, Gabriel had already pulled the spear into his chess. Suddenly, the other ring came out from his hand, it was set on extreme heat and it flew into Gabriel's shoulder. As a result, a part of his shoulder had completely gone, leaving nothing but steamed blood. Gabriel screamed out loud about his pain. Anubis knocked him over, this Gabriel fell to the ground. Anubis stepped on his head, shouted out the words Gabriel couldn't understand:
"DIE! DIE!"
Anubis pushed his leg down hard, to the point where Gabriel couldn't get up anymore. But once again, Gabriel growled in anger. His muscle was getting larger, his skin was turning red. Suddenly an old voice came:
"Stop!"
Anubis eased his force, Gabriel tried to calm himself. The old man slowly approached and sat down. He touched Gabriel's head. But then he suddenly took his hand back, there was fear inside his eyes. The old man did it again, that time, he held it longer. A bright yellow light appeared on Gabriel's head and disappeared soonly. At the same time, Anubis took the crook out and turned it into a ring.
Seeing Gabriel's wounds were healing themself, Anubis stepped back and lifted him. Both starred at each other in silence. The old man from behind said out loud:
"Gabriel Aimilios, a Greek. After killing hundreds of men, you have come to this place... to hide."
"I... Who are you? And more importantly... why am I talking like this..." - Gabriel
He then immediately made a realization, he took a look around, he looked closer to Anubis. He was shocked:
"Are you telling me... THIS IS EGYPT?!"
"Intruder, why do you not know where you are going to?" - Anubis
"... But then, how can I speak your language?" - Gabriel
"The fortune-teller, the master, Ausar, had given you the knowledge. One more thing, you can not lie to him, he knows what hides inside you." - Anubis
"I may not read your future, but your past can tell your future actions." - Ausar
After a short talk, Gabriel understood that he was standing next to two gods, he understood why hadn't Anubis died yet. Then, Gabriel confronted Ausar and asked:
"Can you tell what world I am living in? A few days ago, there was not much chaos, there were no gods, nothing magical. But then..."
"I understand you." - Ausar
"What?" - Gabriel
"You may not know this, but you have died." - Ausar
"What do you mean? I am here!" - Gabriel
"Killed by Aristo. If it is not too late, welcome to the Dream World. The world where your dream has been achieved as you stepped in." - Ausar
"What in the hell did I dream?" - Gabriel
"Dream can be either intended or unconscious. Right before you died, you wished that you could have won the war." - Ausar.
"That makes no sense!... Then how am I ended up being immortal?!" - Gabriel
"Do you believe in fate?" - Ausar
"I believe that the strong will outlive the weak." - Gabriel
"Hold me by the hand." - Ausar
Gabriel reached his hand to Ausar, after a moment, Ausar continued:
"Gabriel, there is a bright light of hope inside you. Despite my uncertainty about your action, in the end, you will be the one..."
The deeper he went, Ausar got more worried. Ausar then kneeled for the first time, Anubis came and lifted him, asking whether he was fine:
"It is late, have a rest." - Anubis
"He holds a powerful life force that I have never seen before. You and others have to train him to control it." - Ausar
Finishing his words, Anubis brought him to his house. As Gabriel was following at the back, he was told to stay outside. Though he was left speechless, he respected it.
Not so long after Gabriel found himself a place to sleep, Anubis woke him and told him to follow. Gabriel yawned:
"Where are we going?"
"Silence, everyone is sleeping." - Anubis
From behind, Gabriel felt like someone was following him, he quickly turned his back and saw a long hair boy. He asked Anubis:
"There is a kid in our back, why is he here?"
"Hmm? Oh, Geb! You are here." - Anubis
"What now?" - Gabriel
"Geb, a member of the Ennead family, trained by master Ausar, he will lead us to the underground." - Anubis
"He is a bit young, is he not?" - Gabriel
Gabriel and Geb starred at each other, Geb waved at him and gave him a bright smile. Gabriel giggled and said hello. They soon got near a small cave. Geb closed his eyes and moved his arms in a circle and pulled out. The cave suddenly shook and eventually, the ground opened like a door, there was a staircase which directed to a well-lit room. As they went inside, the door shut. At that moment, Gabriel had some doubt about what was going to happen. As he went, he saw many carved stones portrayed people alongside torches. He wondered who they were, Anubis answered that those were the Egyptian Gods.
"We are leading you to Duat. The realm of the dead. There is no life, no nature, no laws. There are multiple paths to enter this world. The easiest is dying. Only through my permission will you enter it without dying." - Anubis
"You haven't answered why are you leading me." - Gabriel
"We will go to an empty field where no one can hear or see one's suffering." - Anubis
Geb held Gabriel's hand and said in confidence that he shouldn't be worried. Gabriel was relieved. They shortly made it into a large arena.
"I heard that you can not die, right?" - Anubis
"Yes, recently." - Gabriel
"What kind of god are you?" - Geb
"No, [giggle] I am no gods." - Gabriel
"How is that possible? Only gods can live forever." - Geb
"There is someone inside me, but I do not know what he is." - Gabriel
"You will." - Anubis
"What do you mean?" - Gabriel
"DEATH RING" - Anubis
One of the rings flew out of Anubis' hand. It quickly turned bigger and lit a fire. It went through Gabriel's brain. Gabriel screamed in his pain. Geb was shocked:
"THAT WAS NOT A PART OF THE PLAN!"
"That IS the plan!" - Anubis
Seeing Gabriel suffer, Geb couldn't handle himself, he went into the arena and was about to stop Anubis. But then, Gabriel started roaring harshly, he was drowning in anger. His head regenerated and his body started evolving larger, his legs were shrinking. The ring flew back to Anubis' hand, then turned into a crook, Anubis stood in a defensive pose. After a few seconds, they saw a massive titan. Anubis quietly said:
"You were right, Ausar, we have never seen a thing that big before."
After the transformation was finished, Anubis shouted:
"Hey Gabriel, do you see me? Are you sleeping right-"
Not letting him finish his sentence, Typhos had already smashed the ground. Luckily, Anubis dodged. But no for long, Typhos held him in the hand. Anubis had no fear, he was about to shout:
"CROOK OF-"
But then he made a better plan. He took the crook and dipped it into Typhos' hand to crawl out. While Typhos was catching Anubis, he jumped off. Typhos was concerned about where he was. Suddenly, Anubis flew up by standing on the ring.
"Did you not expect that?" - Anubis
He quickly moved to near Typhos' face. He quickly jumped up and shouted:
"Death... RING"
And kicked the ring forcefully to Typhos. But, as Anubis fell, he was shocked to see that his attack didn't damage the titan, it instead flew away. Typhos had somehow changed into a gas state. In the meantime, Geb was still in the shock of seeing the titan. He stood up and joined the battle. He reached his hand out and shouted:
"EARTH SOFTENS"
Anubis fell to a softened area. Anubis saw Geb standing next to him.
"Thank you, kid. I owe you. Now, Gabriel has lost himself." - Anubis
The ring came back to him. He was thinking about a plan to wake Gabriel.
"Do you have any plan?" - Anubis
"I wish I have." - Geb
Suddenly, they saw a fist from Typhos was approaching. Anubis brought Geb to his shoulder on one hand, while the other hand was holding the ring to fly away. Yet, they weren't fast enough. Geb quickly shaped a shield by pulling an area of the ground. As the fist hit, it didn't break the shield, but it pushed both people down. Anubis luckily had control and got over it. As they were close to the ground, Geb screamed out his ability:
"POISON CLAWS"
Three sharp claws quickly grew out from Geb's both hands. He then hit the claws down to the ground, avoid being pushed farther. Unfortunately, Anubis fell badly afterward, still, he kept Geb's safety. Geb then came close to Anubis and took care of him.
"Are you good? Please speak to me!" - Geb
"This monster... is unbeatable." - Anubis
Gen took his clothes and wrap around Anubis' wounds. Typhos was coming towards them, Geb couldn't think much but to hug Anubis and beg for mercy. A sudden voice came out from the titan's mouth:
"I am alive again."
Anubis and Geb looked upon the titan and saw his eyes were opened. Anubis stood up slowly and said loudly:
"Hey! Who are you?" - Anubis
"I am Gabriel." - Gabriel
"In the name of God, I hate you." - Anubis
"[giggle] You should have said that in the beginning. I apologize. There would always be destruction once I changed. Did I hurt you?" - Gabriel
"That does not matter, now you are conscious, are you not?" - Anubis
"I afraid to answer that as long as I am not myself." - Gabriel
After a meant of talking between the two, Gabriel soon realized that he should stay the as the titan so that he can learn to control it. Anubis and Geb had also learned the name Typhos and his ability. They were still concerned about the missing legs. After taking a look at his body, Gabriel was worried:
"Uh... People... Why am I white? I thought I am red..."
"Oh thank you for pointing that. Nothing can hit you, but you can hit things like a wind. Do you not know how to change back?" - Anubis
"I only ever know how to change back to normal and that is through suffocating." - Gabriel
"Try punching the mid-air." - Geb
The other two starred at Geb. Gabriel then did the action. The underground shook after every time Gabriel punch as his wind power was too strong. Anubis screamed out loud telling Gabriel to stop before the place collapsed. But as he stopped, his body had altered back to its normal state. All three gasped in surprise and pride. Anubis complimented Geb and Gabriel sent a thank. At that moment, everyone there understood that when Gabriel ease or strengthen his muscle, his state changed. The problem left would be the conflict between Gabriel and Typhos. Anubis suggested relaxing his mind and body. After taking a deep breath, Gabriel noticed his heart rate was way faster than normal. He had found the reason why he changed. Slowly and steady, his titan form began to shrink smaller. Anubis felt as if he didn't get any injuries, he was proud. As Gabriel had turned into a human being, he was seen lying on the floor and was very tired. Anubis and Geb came and took care.
"Need a hand?" - Anubis
"I sure do." - Gabriel
"What will happen if you turn into Typhos again?" - Geb
"Now that I understand myself... I may ." - Gabriel
All three then went out of the underground, Geb closed the cave, and Anubis brought Gabriel to his house.
"You will sleep on the floor." - Anubis
"Heh, I am good with that. I understand y-" - Gabriel
"No, for real, here in Egypt, we have nothing to lie on." - Anubis
"Oh..." - Gabriel
Soon, Gabriel had a deep sleep. In his dream, he found himself standing in an empty bright room. From the distance, he saw a man in white sitting on a chair to his left and a man to his right who has his legs decapitated. As a kind-hearted person, he subconsciously chose to run into the injured man and asked whether he was ok. Gabriel advised him that he wasn't alone, if no one would take care of him, Gabriel would. The dream then shattered, like glasses, into darkness.
Gabriel woke up only to find himself waking up later than anyone else. He stepped outside and saw a peaceful scene of a town. Different people, different work, though there weren't too many people. From behind, Gabriel was surprised by Anubis' voice:
"HEY! Get your clothes on."
Gabriel laughed and nervously borrowed Anubis' clothes. He then followed to the kitchen and watched Anubis cooking.
"I thought warriors like you are supposed to be waking earlier." - Anubis
"Ah, maybe I was too tired. Why did you not call me?" - Gabriel
"I tried... But anyhow, may I ask what food do you have in your country?" - Anubis
Gabriel glanced at the ingredients nearby and replied:
"Maybe the same as yours. Flour, wheat, bread, and... Oh, are you making a cake? That is an odd choice for breakfast." - Gabriel
"Breakfast? We do not often have that here. In this town specifically, each house needs to serve one thing in the afternoon. We then can have ourselves a meal. I find making cake is easy, ticking your mouth with the sweets, it is a perfect dessert." - Anubis
"That... I did not expect that answer from you." - Gabriel
"Hehe, aside from being aggressive Death God, I am a pretty responsible and chill person." - Anubis
