Chereads / Coal and Diamond / Chapter 5 - Reveals

Chapter 5 - Reveals

"Anubis, do you remember the words your master said last night? It was something related to dreaming." - Gabriel

"Master Ausar. Yes, why do you ask?" - Anubis

"I am wondering if you wished to be a god or did anything happen?" - Gabriel

That question left Anubis hesitant. But he had no other way but to answer:

"There is a reason why I call Ausar master." - Anubis

"What?" - Gabriel

Anubis suddenly stood up with a scared feeling. Gabriel asked what happened but Anubis held Gabriel's chess and told him to stay inside. Anubis then quickly ran out as fast as possible. As curious as Gabriel was, he followed and saw everyone heading towards a dark thick cloud approaching their land. Gabriel tried to find Anubis for a while but he found Geb instead.

"Do you know what is going on?" - Gabriel

"Something is coming. An invasion..." - Geb

Gen knew where Anubis was and immediately ran to him, Gabriel followed after, and they also met Ausar in the process. The cloud was getting larger and the darkness was fulfilling. Anubis had contacted his sibling and others by the mind. But it would take them a while to get there. Anubis said that the storm was none of the gods' work. Ausar then opened his eyes widely and looked up at Gabriel.

"Anubis, call a boat." - Ausar

"Master, are we not going to defend that?" - Anubis

"If we stay in one place, I highly doubt any of us would stand." - Ausar

Anubis then shouted at the citizens to bring him a boat. Ausar then held Gabriel's hands and said:

"You have to leave this place. Else, you would bring a threat to these people." - Ausar

"Am I..." - Gabriel

"No, you are not guilty, but to find and stop that storm is a must. You... have to kill them all." - Ausar

Those final words suddenly hit Gabriel heavily as if they had attached to his mind.

"Do you know what causes the storm?" - Anubis

"I wish I knew." - Gabriel

The boat was readied, and Gabriel was said to take off quickly. He couldn't reject it, he looked at other people for the final time and ran to the boat. In the sky, a sudden light slowly appeared. Gen expected lightning so he pulled out stoned from the ground and formed a shield. The problem was that he couldn't locate where it would strike. The first lighting landed in Egypt. It was tremendous, loud, and powerful. Luckily, everyone was staying far from it, they started running everywhere. The second strike was going to occur and Geb knew where it exactly was. He was shocked to know that the lightning was aiming at Gabriel, he then pushed to stone shield near Gabriel. The second lightning had hit the shield, Geb was pleased to save Gabriel.

"DID YOU SEE THAT!?" - Geb

"Good job, Geb." - Anubis

Anubis then noticed how the storm attacked. He was fully convinced that it was controlled, nothing natural. As a Death God, he sensed the lives of citizens had been saved, but not for Gabriel. He silently spoke:

"The strike has been made. War is now. I will not let anyone invade Egypt."

Ausar starred at Anubis as he went forward to Gabriel with no hesitation.

"I hope he will be fine... Wait, Anubis, where are you going? Are you not defending?" - Geb

"I go as I will." - Anubis

"WAIT! What about me and master?" - Geb

"To stay or not is your decision." - Anubis

"But... Do you want me to go?" - Geb

Anubis stayed silent and continued to walk, while Ausar warned:

"If you go, death will be a possibility. Anubis can not save you."

Geb didn't know what to decide. Until he saw the darkness had become enormous and unstoppable. He thought there was no else way to defend anymore. The other gods hadn't even arrived. He held his emotion tightly and ran to the front while screaming Anubis and Gabriel's names. Anubis was proud, and so was Gabriel as the two had a conversation. Ausar looked at them go away and starred to the sky, he knew there was no more lightning, the storm was following Gabriel.

On the way, seeing Gabriel controlling the boat, Geb asked whether he wanted to rest. Though he hadn't eaten anything, he denied it. But then, a weird noise came from Gabriel's stomach. Geb sighed and touched the sea. As his hand was wet, he had made an apple.

"Here, eat it." - Geb

"Was that your power too? Are you sure that it is edible?" - Gabriel

"Yes, I use this ability whenever I feel emotional, I eat to excite myself. It is juicy!" - Geb

"Thank you." - Gabriel

"Anubis, do you want one?" - Geb

All three had some fun conversations together on the trip. Gabriel told the story about him and earlier times. Anubis, afterward, said that Geb was his grandfather, but he was reborn. Geb still held the memory, yet, his personality may belong to a youngster.

"This is how we live. Like a family. Do you know much about yours?" - Anubis

"I may not know much, but for a reason, I think Greek gods are not friendly to each other. As I assume the one who possesses me was killed by another god." - Gabriel

While the three were talking, a tip of the water dripped onto the boat. They thought it was just a normal wave. But as soon as they couldn't see the land, the boat started to shake. Everyone tried to hold on to the boat as much as possible. Until Geb looked upon him and saw a wall of sea waves. His eyes showed great fear, but luckily, he warned the others:

"HOLD ON TIGHT!"

The wave had pushed them far away at a ridiculous speed as the weather started raining. The boat capsized and all three started diving. Geb raised his hands and a water force pulled them up the air. Anubis shouted to Gabriel to hold his hand. A golden ring ran out and it got onto Gabriel's hand. The ring then flew up as Gabriel was in shock. While Anubis used another ring while carrying Geb. Anubis couldn't find nearby lands, all he saw was water and vast storms. All three were heavy breathing. But not so long after, a sudden amount of water rose vertically and it formed a hand figure. It was called Lister. It quickly grabbed Gabriel down. As he was screaming, Anubis told Geb to do something. He shouted out:

"WATER GOES DOWN! WATER GOES DOWN!"

He thought he could control Lister. He then immediately thought another way.

"WATER SPLASH!" - Geb

Geb shot as much water into the hand-figured water. Yet, it didn't work. He then shot Gabriel and pushed him out. Gabriel lost the ring and as he fell, Geb quickly got out of Anubis and fell with Gabriel.

"ARE YOU MAD?" - Anubis

"CATCHING VINES!" - Geb

A long, strong vine came out of Geb's hand and it was getting towards Gabriel. Geb then held the ring which was falling last time. But a moment had passed, and Gabriel felt as if time has been slowed down, he was hoping the vines could get him. Fortunately, the long vines had wrapped his hand in circles. Anubis on top saw what had happened and controlled the ring to rise. While they were moving forward, Gabriel still held a bad feeling, as if the incident hadn't ended yet. He then undoubtedly heard a loud noise behind, it wasn't a wave or a storm. He readied for his strength. A gigantic monster jumped up from the sea. He, who held the Golden Trident. All three men were shocked. The giant then called a shark to cut the vine holding Gabriel. Gabriel then shouted:

"LEAVE ME!" - Gabriel

Geb was hesitant to do so, but he was moved along by the ring. The giant followed Gabriel as he fell into the sea. Gabriel tried his best to be angry. Soon, his muscles were getting bigger. But the giant didn't give Gabriel a second, he rapidly called many sea monsters and sharks to attack. Gabriel's hands were quickly got big enough to defend. But he didn't know that attacking undersea would slow him down. A lionfish ate a side of Gabriel's neck and blood started flowing. It got Gabriel angry. As Gabriel had completed the alternation, he grabbed the sharks and threw them away. As Gabriel swam closer to the giant But then he was stabbed in the chess by the trident and was pushed into the air. The two Egyptian gods saw Gabriel and decided to return and save him. Gabriel was held in the mid-air by the sea, he tried to struggle but couldn't even move the water. The giant came up to him and said:

"You are still foolish and numb like the old days. Had HE not given you enough, Typhos? Then I, Poseidon, will." - Poseidon

The other two had made it in time. Both went behind Poseidon while he was distracted. They had made a plan, yet, they hope it would go as they expected. Anubis started:

"DEATH RING!"

The heated ring turned bigger and it was heading towards Poseidon. He turned his back and was going to block the attack by hand, but the ring ultimately went through his hand. Geb was standing on the ring and shouted:

"WATER SPLASH!" - Geb

He shot water into Poseidon's eyes. But as the water was going, Poseidon had controlled his water to block the attack.

"You are an absolute fool to use water to attack water." - Poseidon

"Do I look like I understand you?" - Geb

Anubis used the advantage of the distraction to attack. The ring had hit Poseidon's hand which was holding the Golden Trident. As the trident fell off, Poseidon turned his back. Suddenly, Gabriel was gone. It surprised not only him but Anubis and Geb as well. Poseidon was concerned and tried to look for him. But when he looked down at the sea, a forceful punch went to his skull as Gabriel popped up. Poseidon was questioning in pain:

"Impossible... How did you-"

Gabriel didn't let him finish his sentence, he had made another hard punch into the stomach. As painful as it was, Poseidon soon made his final words:

"Are you happy with that? Because from now on, your life will be much harder, [emphasize] Gabriel Aimilios."

He gave a big laugh, pulled the trident to his hand by force, and eventually disappeared as he went into the sea. Gabriel tried to punch him again but he missed. As a result, he punched the sea instead, and water was splashed onto the other two people's faces. Anubis and Geb congratulated him anyway. Gabriel didn't forget to give thanks to both.

"That was amazing, how did you get out of his trap?" - Geb

"I will explain later. Now, please carry me. I am losing." - Gabriel

The storms had disappeared along with the rain, and the harsh waves. A while after, Gabriel returned to normal. He was unconscious so Geb carried him.

On the trip, Geb and Anubis complained about Greece gods and how they were so different compared to Egypt. Then Geb suddenly wondered:

"Why did we not travel on air like this before?"

"HEY! The rings have an owner. This is a long way trip, if the owner has no more stamina, they are useless." - Anubis

Both had a good laugh. Gabriel woke up afterward and asked:

"Where are we?"

"That is MY question! Can you lead us?" - Anubis

As Gabriel opened his eyes, he saw many islands below. He quickly told Anubis to turn right.

"We are close." - Gabriel

"I hope, I am afraid I can not last much longer." - Anubis

"What happened?" - Gabriel

"Stop asking." - Anubis

Tens of minutes had passed, and Gabriel could barely see Sparta. He encouraged Anubis to get along just a bit longer. But then, Anubis soon fainted. All three then fell in the mid-air. While Gabriel tried to get big enough to carry the other two, Geb had already called for a small tsunami to push them onto the land. All three had succeeded in reaching Sparta. Geb tried to wake Anubis, he said they needed a peaceful space. Gabriel decided to leave them on the coast, he would investigate himself. Gabriel also wanted to find his friends and hope to get a chance to ask how they had lived.

"(I need to tell her that I am her brother.)" - Gabriel

On the other side, Anubis rested on Geb's lap comfortably. The sea lay in front and the sun rose upon their sight. They had never enjoyed such a view. Geb silently said:

"You are still a baby like decades ago." - Geb

"mmm..." - Anubis

Anubis and Geb had a fun conversation while looking at the sea. Then Anubis said in a deep tone:

"I had a nightmare. A nightmare looked very realistic. I saw many people would die at the hand of a giant, it could be Poseidon. That nightmare might come true..." - Anubis

"Who and where?" - Geb

"Our people." - Anubis

"Hmm... So? What will you do nothing?" - Geb

"No. I shall step up and fight. I will defeat that nightmare." - Anubis

After finishing the sentence, Anubis quickly stood up and told Geb to go with him. As both were going further into the land, Geb suddenly stepped on a sharp spike. Anubis immediately turned to take off the spike. Geb told Anubis to find Gabriel first, he could stay by himself. Anubis warned him that there was no safety. He then washed the wound with sand. Geb screamed in pain shortly after. Anubis then said:

"Here, get on my back."

While Geb tried to get up, he suddenly noticed the spike he stepped on was a shell.

"Uh... Anubis..." - Geb

"Oh, I forgot." - Anubis

Without letting Geb continue, Anubis carried Geb onto his back and walked away. Geb was concerned about why was there a spiky shell lying on the sand.

It was a day before, on Mount Olympus, where a gigantic old man named Zeus was sitting alone in a huge shattered palace. He suddenly heard more praying than normally. And the prays were related to rebuilding a town, bringing justice, and reviving people. Yet, he gave no attention to them. He was filled with disgust, and regret, he, for a reason, couldn't do much at that moment. Then, Aphrodite came in and reported about the arrival of Typhos:

"Do you think we make it this time?"

Even though Zeus hated the news, he held great confidence:

"I can kill him once, I can do it again."

"But my dear, he was not the Typhos we knew anymore..." - Aphrodite

After the incident was told clearer, Zeus was surprised, he exclaimed:

"IMPOSSIBLE!"

Zeus ordered Aphrodite to call Hades to get prepared for a battle. They started by invading Sparta as it was the place where Gabriel lived. When Hades was ripping apart the citizen, Zeus told him to stop:

"Typhos has escaped. We need to find where he is. By that, we need Poseidon."

Midnight quickly came and Poseidon outside the great sea noticed something was off. On the land of Egypt, a powerful typhoon occurred, and such conditions weren't possible there. He then reported back to Zeus.
