Now that most of the family members were present, just three missing, Amber sat down again after cleaning herself up. She plopped down on the blue suede material, making it dip down as she lowered herself onto it. She looked at them all, they were all in their own worlds, her mother looked horrified, her sister had an expression like she had just had a gun pointed at her head, Emma was looking at her curiously, while her father looked, neither horrified or thankful that his daughter had returned, his face was blank. She didn't know what he was thinking, but she knew that he wasn't impressed. They all woke from their supor when she said "Are you not happy I'm back?". Jared cleared his throat and began to say, " Of course we are, just that, this is very sudden and we had no time to prepare something to welcome you back." Amber seemed disappointed when he said that, and she somehow managed to express it with her eyes, even though she wasn't. "I just thought that it would be a nice surprise for you all, so I didn't tell you" After she said that, she put on the most aggrieved expression she could manage, and rubbed her hands together in an awkward manner " I guess you didn't like it though, I'll leave then." She stood up and walked past her stepmother and sister, bumping into them lightly then apologising and walked slowly to the door, her high heels clicking on the floor, her head down, making her look like a puppy who had just been told off by its owner.
Jared suddenly thought of something and said "Wait!" Amber stopped, turned around, and faced him. It was a funny scene as, even without heels, she was already 5' 10" but with her black three inch boot heels, she was towering over Jared's height of 5' 8" at 6 foot tall. He was looking up into her eyes, this scene would seem like deja vu in the future. "What do you want? coming here, this late at night on a weekday, hmmm?, what is your intention?" he felt very suspicious of this daughter, after all she did disappear for ten years, and now his company was going through a rough time with a new company that has shot up in the computer industry overnight, and an older successful company witch just changed from the father to the son, meaning that company now had new life breathed into it. He was trying to come up with ideas to make his company on par with them, but everytime he took a step towards them, they took three steps in a different direction, causing him to nearly lose his sanity for the last month or two. He wondered if she had any bad intentions, coming here in the middle of a crisis for his company, he wondered if she wanted to get even with him for her mother. He was right, she did want to get back at him, but not now, her revenge was only just beginning, she was looking forward to seeing him regret his decision. She didn't show it though, she kept her eyes clear of all types of emotions and looked straight down, her black pupils drawing him into an endless black hole, "I came back this time..." her voice devoid of any emotion filled the room, making the temperature of the room drop by at least 2 degrees, "Just to tell you...I'm back". She smiled, turned around, and walked straight outside, into the freezing night air, her hair whipped about by the wind, her back view looked, strong and determined, bringing sleepless nights to the whole family that week, each having their own thoughts.
