Chereads / The Stone Hearted General's Infatuation / Chapter 5 - Majestic Paradise

Chapter 5 - Majestic Paradise

In the suburbs about a twenty minute drive from the city, the forestry grew denser, and the sunlight was blocked out by the thick canopy from the tops of the trees, casting shadows along the road. On this road though, there was a small, unnoticeable turning. If you did notice it and turn down that lane, follow it to the end, and get though the security feature, you would eventually come to a clearing. This wasn't any old clearing though, this was a clearing that was lined with wildlife, plants and beautiful water features. You follow the trees and wildlife, and you come to a spacious driveway, of beige stones. Looking up, your breath hitches, as before you, in front if your very eyes, stands a two story, black house. You may think after my big build up, that's it? Of course not. On this house, is the most beautiful and colourful mural of plants and animals, you've ever seen, it contains your favourite animals, plants and sky, which in this case, the house is full of different species of cats, different species of grasses with a clear, blue sky.

This place, is the most amazing place you have ever seen (feel free to imagine your own). It is a feast to your eyes, you feel peaceful and tranquil, all your anxiety has disappeared along with the flowing water and the chirping birds. The sound of cascading water coupled with the clicking of crickets and grasshoppers relaxes your mind and make you feel like you are floating on clouds without a care in the world. Who owns this house though, try and guess. Of course, only our female lead could be worthy enough to own this house, (well maybe the male lead, but we will get to that).

After getting out if her slick black Mercedes, she unlocks the door and walks in. She kicks off her heels, that rubbed against her ankles and changed into her cute, grey, cat slippers. She slipped her feet into her slippers, and sighed in satisfaction from the softness of them on her feet. She walked further into the house across the dark, warm wooden floor into the kitchen. The kitchen had black marble table tops, white cupboard doors with black matte handles and bronze curtains. A few bits of greenery were dotted about, lifting the place a bit. She went over to the fridge, and took out, cold beer and took down a packet of crisps. She went and sat down on her deep blue sofa, which complimented the white walls, beside her grey cat, wolf, who was already lying there peacefully.

About an hour or two later, she had finished her beer. She threw the bottle into the recycling, and the crisp packet, into the fire bin. Then she went to her bedroom, where white walls, a black wardrobe and grey bedding complimented each other nicely, with colourful blankets, cushions and plants decorated the room (it is not completely black). She changed out of her formal clothes, into cute purple pyjamas, a t-shirt with matching purple pants, and collapsed onto her bed after her cleansing routine. It was 11 o'clock at night, and she was exhausted, so as soon as she had hit the pillows, she was it out like a light, lulled to sleep by the chorus of a purring cat, crickets and grasshoppers and flowing water. This was where she felt most safe, this was her haven, this was what she called, Her Majestic Paradise.
