Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

"I didn't mean for us to get in trouble princess. Come on, stop running away." Kai said, chasing me as I walked towards English which was in the same building but third floor.

First period and I have a f*cking lunch detention. The stars really do align in my favor everyday and enrich my day with the upmost happiness. I love it here.

"Princess just listen to me." He said, his hand stopping me by holding me by my wrist.

"No Kai, you listen to me. I don't know what you want from me and I don't even know if this is your ploy to get me to sleep with you like you do to "all the other girls" but I'm not interested and I have too much in my life to worry about it. So please, just leave me alone and find one of your friends to annoy." I said, snatching away my hand.

Sure, I might be over exaggerating and being a bit harsh since I was the one who yelled and got us both in trouble, but he was the ultimate root of the trouble. How? Because he kept pestering me and propelled the event that took place to take place. Also, how am I even suppose to find Elena now? Now I had so much stuff on my plate that it's overflowing.

"I wish the ground opened up and swallowed me whole." I mumbled, my anger really getting the best of me.

"Dove! Over here!" Zora said, waving from the seat she was sitting at that had an empty desk right next to it.

"Hey Zora." I said, slumping down on the seat after I put my backpack on the floor.

"Should I ask what's wrong?" Zora inquired.

I could see her face from the side of my vision as I kept my face looking forward.

"I have detention in Mrs. Roberts class at lunch. It's better then an after school detention but I won't hear the end of it from my dad. So now my day is going horrible and I'm not in the mood to do school work anymore." I said, venting to Zora as if she was my therapist and I was the patient.

"Well I have good news for you that might cheer you up." She said.

"What is it?" I questioned, confused on what's the good news.

"Our teacher isn't here for the whole week so we have a sub!" She said, excitement in her voice.

As soon as she said that the tardy bell rang and the substitute walked in.

"Is that a good thing?" I asked, confused as hell.

"Have you never had a sub before?" She asked, her perfectly made eyebrow quirked up as she questioned me.

"No, I've pretty much been home schooled all of my life." I said telling her the truth.

"That explains why. Basically subs are usually not that enforcing on doing work and they are temporary so we don't really do real work with them. That means we probably won't have much to do besides a worksheet maybe while the sub is around." She said, as the sub started writing out his name.

He looked relatively carefree as he looked at people on their phones and didn't say anything. His hair was blue, a color that resembled the night sky. He was pretty young but the emotionless facial expression he was wearing which was kinda on the frowning side made it seem like he was older because of the wrinkles it created on his dark skin.

"My names Mr. Cade. I'll be your teacher for the week. Everyday you'll have a worksheet that you'll get at the beginning of class and are expected to complete by the end of class. Anyone who is disrespectful or fails to turn in the work will receive punishment. I'll be here to help, but your truly an idiot if you don't get the questions." He said, pulling out a stack of paper from the drawer of his desk and telling one of the students to pass out the worksheet.

"Don't be too loud." He said, pulling out his phone.

"Wow, this is good news." I said, smiling at the realization that the worksheet was a breeze since it asked questions like "what's a verb?".

"So how'd you get detention?" Zora asked, pulling out a black gel pen from her backpack as I blankly stared at my worksheet before deciding to do it so I could possibly take a nap afterwards.

"I kind of yelled in the middle of her giving a lecture to the class but it wasn't my fault. Kai was being annoying." I said, looking around a bit to see if Kai was around to him nowhere in sight.

"Annoying? That's an adjective I've never heard someone call him." She said.

"Why?" I questioned because if anyone didn't call him annoying after the interactions I've had with him, they're pretty much delusional.

"I don't know. Probably because Kai doesn't really talk to many people and when he does it's through his fist or his d*ck. Sure he's done the trading for a couple of days with girls stuff but never to an extend that results him not getting any. " Zora said.

"So he doesn't have any friends is what your saying?" I questioned back.

"Pretty much. He's cool with a ton of the guys but he doesn't really hang out with people but maybe he changed this year." She said, finishing up her worksheet while I didn't even start on mine.

"Why me? What did I do to make him target me." I said, groaning at how I just had to be the one.

"I don't know. Probably because you don't run away from him or try to sleep with him like everyone else." Zora said, pulling out nail polish? from her backpack.

"Now I feel bad for yelling at him and telling him to go find his friends and leave me alone." I said, finally picking up my pen to do the 10 questions.

"You said that?" Zora questioned, looking at me and not her nails.

"Pretty much." I said.

"Damn Dove, probably broke the poor guys heart."

"He was annoying me! I'm new! It's not my fault I don't know these things!" I replied, trying to keep my voice low so I avoid getting in trouble again since Mr. Brian said not to be loud.

"Maybe it's because of the sexual tension between you two." She said.

"What are you implying?" I asked, confused at what Zora was trying to say.

"I mean your both pretty hot and you talk about him a lot because of the many interactions y'all have. And I think it might be the sexual tension between you two that makes you guys hate or annoy one another." Zora said, summing up her thought.

"I change my mind. Your an awful therapist. I'd like a refund."

"Your not denying it."

"There's no point in denying it because we both know that's untrue. I mean yeah he's cute and he's nice SOMETIMES but he's also an a** and not my type." I explained.

"That's what they all say~ Be sure to invite me to your wedding." She said, cheekily smiling at me.

"I think Ariels been rubbing off on you a little too much." I retaliated.

"Dove and Kai sitting in a tree-"

"Don't you dare."

"K I S S-"

"Mr. Brian! May I go to the bathroom?" I said, raising my hand to which he nodded.

Before she could go on I swiftly got out my chair and ran for the door, far away from Zora and her fantasies.

There goes my nap.
