"I have had about enough of this place." Doctor An says. It's true that they've been through so much since entering this forest and they still haven't found the cause of the villagers demise. "If anything else happens I think I rather die than get involved." Docoter An says. Kila chuckles, they had already passed the lake and were now seeing animals everywhere they turn, "what's with this place, one minute you don't see a single living animal, the next they're all over the place." He grumbles. He glances down at the Beast he ended up having to carry, "I get the feeling they sense Windy's presence." Kila says.
That definitely could be the case, she pulled the map out and started marking more landmarks, facing a funny looking stone next to a tree. Kila traces some scribblings on this stone with curiousity, they were definitely getting close to something. At least they would be if it weren't for the fact that this was the third time she was seeing this stone. Doctor An notices her face, "what is it?" He asks. Kila blows out a breath and turns to him, "do you want the good news or the bad?" She asks. Doctor An groans out loud, they never catch a break, "I guess I have no other choice to hear the bad news. What could be worse than what we already been through?" He asks.
"Oh I don't know, the fact that this is the third time we've come to this exact spot, maybe." She says. Doctor An frowns, "I don't get it, what are you trying to say?" He asks. Kila shrugs, "either we're lost or we're caught in someone's maze trap." She points out. Windy begins to growl, but Kila could already feel a very strong and powerful pressence nearby and it wasn't the good kind. Doctor An was the only one who couldn't feel it but he knew by their reactions that something wasn't right. Do they ever catch a break in this place? "We need to get out of here and fast." Kila whispers.
Doctor glance back at her his eyes wide, "why, what is it?" he asks, "there's something really evil nearby, don't you feel that?" She wonders. He didn't feel anything but he knew she was not joking, she had no reason to. "What do you think it is?" He asks. Kila shakes her head, "I don't know, all I know is that it has the same feeling from the village." She says. He shivers at the coldness in her tone, "do you think....?" His words fade as Windy's growls grew louder, "we don't have time, we must continue forward." Kila says. "Wait? How do we do that, wasn't it just earlier that you said that we ended here three times already? I mean what if it's the doing of this being?" Doctor An asks.
Kila chews the inside of her cheek, he had a point, shit. This isn't looking good at all, it was getting more and more apparent that they indeed got trapped in someone's maze. "Kila, look over there." Doctor An says pointing. She glances over in time to see that he was pointing at something dark and very evil in the trees. Judging from the shape of it, it was clear that there was nothing human about it. "What is that?" He asked his voice quivering from fear, Kila turn to him, "calm down, I have a feeling it's senses you're fear." She says. Calm down she says, how was he supposed to do that when that thing was just sitting there watching them?
Neither of them had a weapon to speak of, and even Kila's mana was way to weak for something like this. It seems there was no escaping this dark shadow thing. They were stuck in yet another sticky situation, no signs of a child or the melody from earlier. They were on their own with a possible Godly Beast that was too young to protect anyone. "If that is the thing that killed those villagers we are dead meat." Doctor An says the fear building even more. Kila clenches her fist, no matter how good is her martial arts a creature like this couldn't be touched, she could even see through it.
But just as the creature decided to finally fully expose itself revealing a shapeless form and cold red eyes, it was pouring with hatred and hunger. What was this thing? It's as though it was trying to take shape but lacked the ability, it was as if it was weak, but even if that's so it was still immensely strong. Kila felt it in waves, the dark mana that rolled off this thing felt like the dark mana she felt in the palace, but completely different. "Now!" The voice caught the thing off guard, and also the two of them as they both whipped their gazes from the thing before them.
Fire was launched from behind them as two figures popped from the bushes, a little girl and a robed stranger who glowed greatly. A pure feeling of mana and light washed over her instantly as if enveloped in a cloud or sunshine. "Who are they?" Doctor An asks as a firece pain washes over Kila in an instant, no one relizing that the evil thing had even gotten that close, "Kila!" Doctor An yells as blood spews from her body. She coughs and looks up in complete shock before tumbling to the ground in a faint. The last thing she remembers were soft crystal blue eyes as she drifts into darkness. She remembers thinking to herself, "what beautiful blue eyes."
