I was panicking, no freaking right out!
I was paired up with the school's hottest and most dangerous guy, can you say unlucky?
Alright, so maybe most girls would kill to even sit next to him, but I'm not most girls. I'm the kind of girl who stays away from trouble and any thing that might bring too much unwanted attention. The kind of girl who wants to go through her sophomore year in peace.
Shutting my locker door I loudly sighed out. To say I was troubled would be an understatement.
It's now Thursday morning, two days after the pairing and I haven't heard any thing from Nicholi and I'm starting to get nervous. I don't know if I should go up to him or wait.
Speaking of the devil, I saw the tall green eyed male walk through the halls. He must be on his way to the music room. Yet another class I share with him. To make matters worse he sits literally behind me.
But this time, ignoring him was out of the question. We had an assignment to do and I was so not getting low marks on something so easy.
"Nicholi!"
Without thinking I called out to him, students loitering out of their classes took notice of me. Shying away from the staring eyes I ducked my head and walked just a little bit faster towards him.
He had stopped and turned to look at me. I stood in front of the guy, nearly two heads taller than me and you know what I did?
Your girl Reighn just stood there like a statue and stared at the guy like some idiot.
What do people usually do in these type of situations anyway? Maybe I should talk to him, start up a friendly conversation or something? Ahg, I'm so lost I don't know how to conversate with people!
"Yes?"
He questioned me, brow raised. Snapping out of it I cleared my throat and averted my eyes to the side.
"Um, eh I eh.....h-hey?"
Great job there Reighn you are so killing it!
Shut up brain!
"Yeah hey."
We stood there in silence for a little while
"If you have nothing else to say, I'll be going."
As he turned around about to leave, I panicked and grabbed his arm. He snapped his head to me and like I was holding a very hot potato I let go of the arm.
"W-wait, I....hah, look I'm really bad when it comes to conversations and talking to people in general. What I wanted to speak to you about was the assignment. Are we doing it or not?"
Again he raised his brow at me like he didn't understand what it is I said. Was I talking some foreign language?
"Dude, the assignment in Bio? The one where we have to work in pairs for?"
His eyes lightened up as if he just realized he's actually a student. He held out his hand to me as if waiting for me to hand him something. I stared at the hand in confusion then shook it.
He laughed at what I did and shook his head.
"Your phone genius."
"Oh"
Feeling slightly embarrassed I handed my phone to him and watched as he typed an unknown digit into it.
Handing it over back to me he turned and started walking away.
"I placed my phone number on it, so you can message me when you're free to work on the project. Sound good?"
Although he asked it, he said it as a statement, like I wasn't given much of a choice.
I looked at the new digits on my phone, the name Nicholi written atop it. Next to the letters was a red heart emoji. I raised a brow at that but just shrugged it off.
The bell rang announcing the beginning of first lesson. And I was late, yet again. Mr Seaford was definitely gonna scold me, this would be the second time now. If it happened again, I was sure to get detention.
Just my luck.

Unlocking the front door of the modern house I called home, I closed it after entering.
"Mom, dad you here?!"
I called out into the house. Silence greeted me back as I trudged to the kitchen. I threw my school bag on the floor next to the kitchen table and opened the fridge, scouting for a meal to eat.
Not finding anything interesting I closed the fridge door and noticed a pink note attached to it.
Gone on a business trip.
Be back in four days.
Left some cash on the counter.
Of course they weren't home. They barely are and if they are here, they don't even notice my pitiful existence.
Rolling my eyes I crushed the note and threw it into a bin. True to their words, there was about five hundred left on the counter. Does a teen even need that much money? I don't think so.
Huh, guess we're eating out yet again.
Don't I just have the loveliest parents ever?
Most teens would be thrilled at being home alone, for me however, it's done so much that it has become boring.
I grabbed my school bag off from the floor and made my way to my bedroom. The door to my room was decorated with ten year old stickers and a few band posters from when I was thirteen and actually listened to bad music.
Kicking the door open it went crashing against the wall, making the already present dent larger. I've kicked my door so many times over the past five years, I'm surprised it hasn't come off its hinges yet.
I threw my bag in a random direction on the floor, it made a crashing sound as it collided with something that I hope wasn't important.
I'll take care of it later
Jumping onto my bed, I drew my biggest pillow towards me and layed my head and half of my body onto it. Within seconds I was out like a candle.
