Lin XinYin walked down the steps conversing with Feng Mian whilst holding his little brother.
When they reached the lobby, Lin XinYin lost her breath. She saw Young Mistress Wang, clad in her earthy coloured robes, and deep blue skin-tight trousers. Young Mistress Wang's clothes were practical and comfy, but she suited them.
Lin XinYin gritted her teeth when she saw who Young Mistress was talking to, General Yun; the mighty General of the Wind Faction of the Imperial Army. She watched with anger as Samuel talked with Laquetta.
Feng Mian crinkled his eyebrows as he tried to understand what the two were talking about, they were talking in a different language; something that sounded extremely foreign and did not seem to be of any dialect that he has heard before.
He looked to his left to see Lin XinYin fuming, "Is everything alright?"
"Yes," she gritted out, "Everything is marvellous."
"Do you understand what they're speaking? It doesn't sound like any dialect I have heard before," Feng Mian thought aloud.
Lin XinYin's eyes widened slightly as she focused on what they were saying and she agreed that they were not speaking in any dialect or language that they have heard before.
She dragged him forward and they hid behind a wall not far from the two talking and listened.
"You can't understand it right?" she whispered.
"No, I don't."
They watched as the rest of the girls joined them and then the other three boys, were talking in the same language, but it wasn't Cheng-Guang.
(A/N: This is the language in this world, I swear it will get easier to follow this story. Sorry if I am unclear with some things.)
"We should go," advised Feng Mian, "Eavesdropping is bad."
Lin XinYin sighed, "Alright."
They came out of their hiding place and they joined the group who started talking to them in Cheng-Guang again and the two looked at each other. Thinking the same thing; what tongue were they talking in?
But before they could question it further, Wang Wei burst into the lobby and greeted everybody before ushering them out of the lobby and into the streets.
Charlotte sped up to talk to Wang Wei who was the object of interest to her, and Wang Wei didn't mind the attention at all. In fact, he was quite enamoured with her than she was with him. He had never met someone so unique. So of course he did the classic thing and tried to impress her with his knowledge of the village. And impressed she was. Charlotte like him too, she liked how his eyes lit up as he talked about something he was passionate about, she liked the way he had such a charm that could draw anyone in. She liked him because he was different, how he never wanted to conform and if he did, it would be on his own terms.
Laquetta thought that the pairing was cute, and hoped her friend the best, she turned and looked to her left. Samuel, she was interested in him and she loved how secure he made; it was also very obvious he liked her and she found that she didn't mind it, at all. She walked slightly closer and made note of how the other tensed before linking her arm through his, and dragged him along the street, catching up with Charlotte and Wang Wei.
Laquetta spoke in English to Charlotte, "So, your new lover-boy, huh?"
"Bitch, don't even start-"
But Laquetta did it, and she'll do it again.
"Hey girls! Charlotte here has a lover-boy!" she yelled.
"Oh shit," Lottie exclaimed whilst laughing, "You're cheating on me?!"
Lisa and Leslie made cooing noises as the others looked at them like they were insane.
Wang Wei turned to Charlotte took one look at her beet-red face and asked her, "What were you guys talking about?"
Charlotte groaned whilst face-palming, "It's nothing. Just my friends being dumb."
"You guys all seem really close. And supportive of each other. It's a lovely thing you guys have. Such... a close relationship with each other."
Charlotte looked at her friends who were behind her with love and tenderness, "They can be brats, but, I would never trade them for anything. No matter what stuff I go through. Because they have been there for me."
Wang Wei took note of the love and tenderness in her eyes and felt a sudden little thump in his heart. He ignored it and beamed at her; she really was different.
Lin XinYin was fuming at the scene.
Feng Mian and Feng Yue became wary of her and decided to hang out with Toby, Vincent and Lewis. They talked about strategies and weaponry, the guys offered a place within the Imperial Army as personal disciples for the Feng brothers, to which they happily agreed to.
