They hurriedly entered the mansion and told everyone what they had seen. Everyone was already on edge. They didn't know what was out there, they didn't know whether it was some mystical creature or ghoul that killed the person.

"What do you mean?"
The elderly servant had her hands cupped in front of her and head bowed spoke again, "My Prince. Please, calms yourself. It will be alright, but before you execute any actions against them, you need to be careful since you yourself cannot handle many ghouls at once. You should have someone accompany you."
"No. I will go train. You are dismissed."
Prince Long Yue was the first Prince of the Long Shan. He had fifteen younger brothers, none of them were close to each other, they all wanted to get to the throne, consequently, there was a lot of schemes targeted at his back. He hated his father, he also hates his mother. The only person he loves in the Yue Palace was his wet nurse, someone who has been by his side since birth and has always stood up for him, even at the expense of getting punished herself. She helped him study whilst his mother was off scheming, securing her place as the Emperor's first wife, the Empress. He knew of the awful things his mother did, how she had one of the concubine's life taken. She was clever about it too, she made it seem like she was the one being wronged. It was no wonder, the concubine's son hates her. The other concubines also hated her, if they did not hate her, they dislike her. But what could they do? Nothing. They were mere concubines.
Long Yue had heard of their neighbours; the Imperial Jun Family. They had visited before and vice versa. He had been to the Jun Family's banquets and they were always full of laughter and effortless beauty and decoration. But, most of all, everyone seemed happy there. He remembered seeing a young Lady there, her mother was best friends with Empress Liu Hua herself. He remembered her beauty, and although her face was beautiful she was silent, face like stone, but cordial and graceful; he never got her name. When Long Yue was there he had the unwillingly compared his family to the Jun Family. His family didn't hold a slither against them in any aspects. It was even worse when his father tried causing a ruckus which was immediately called out by Empress Liu Hua herself, he distinctly remembered the face his father had made. It was the shade of a ripe aubergine. His father hated the Jun Family, because they were much better at running their empire, how there weren't any plots to get rid of the Imperial Family unlike in their empire. But one big concern for his father was the Jun's Imperial Army. His father knows that his army wouldn't ever be able to beat the Jun's Imperial Army; he has always been trying to get the two empires to merge so he could take out the Jun Family, they always refused.
Long Yue walks out of his room and with more comfortable clothing and requests for his best horse. He wanted to leave his home, he really didn't want to be part of this family anymore. Why did he even stay here this long? God, he was an idiot. Long Yue knew he had all the means of leaving, he could just live in the mountains and stay there.
He smiled as an idea popped into his mind, he could go to the Jun Empire and hide there, the Qang'an Mountains weren't far away at all. Long Yue then remembered that one of the concubine's servants were had left their Empire to go to the Jun Empire. He was pretty sure his name was Wang Wei and had become a guide, so maybe he could help him. They were on alright terms when the other had left, so he was sure that he was able to find him easily on that route.
So with this little plan inside his head, he decided to go grab his belongings and go about his day, as usual, to make sure no one suspected him of trying to leave. Long Yue attended his normal duties and went to his lessons, did his best as usual but today he was slightly more chipper than usual, he told no one of his plans but his wet nurse so she wouldn't be as worried about his disappearance.
