"Huh?" Luis blankly muttered as he looked towards the dean with a dead-eyed look as if the only thing that he can see is the darkness that succumbs him.
"Are you okay Luis?" The dean asked that brought Luis back from his shock.
"Why? Did I do something wrong? Did I lack a requirement? Did I destroy a school property? I can't remember if I was involved in a fight? Is it because of the way I spoke back to Jenny? I'll kneel in front of her if it's needed, just don't kick me out! I beg you!" Luis begged when he got back to his senses.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong-" The dean didn't even finish talking when Luis started getting hysterical.
"Then why are you kicking me out? Is it because we're poor and the school doesn't want me to be here for the reason that I didn't belong to this society?" Luis bawled with teary eyes as if he's on the verge of crying.
"Please let me finish what I'm saying first before having those conclusions, okay?" Luis nodded confirming that he understood the dean while wiping the tears from his eyes.
"Just like what I've said earlier, you can't continue to study at this Academy anymore because of this..." When the dean said this, he handed a black box with golden outlines and a purple ribbon wrapped around the four sides of the box.
'To Delmont, Ignacius Luis,
We gladly invite you to study at Divine Prophecy Academy. We will wait for your arrival on the 5th day of Spring year 103rd of the Senician Calendar.
Sincerely,
Academy Dean'
Is the written letter from the paper attached to the ribbons of the box. The paper has a fragrant scent that can't be compared to any of the flower scents Luis knows.
"Can I ask if you know who gave this box?" Luis asked to clear out his confusion.
"I also don't know who gave it, but from what I can remember, it is a guy in a white robe. At first, I thought he's only cosplaying. He gave me this but when I look back after trying to process what this thing is, he disappeared like a bubble popped out of nowhere." The Dean answered. They chatted for a few hours about Luis's plan for the future and on how will the Academy participate in inter-academic contests now that Luis is leaving.
"I think this is the end of my service in this school?" Luis joked.
"Why? Do you want to get your separation pay you naughty rascal?" The dean giggled.
"But seriously, thanks for everything that you did, dean McKinley. Without you and grandpa, I wouldn't be here." Luis thanked.
"It's okay Luis, just always take care of yourself. I'll just get sad when you leave because the only useful student of this academy is leaving and I'm going to be left here babysitting these useless spoiled brats." The dean grunted but the thing about the students was meant to be a joke to lift the mood.
After bidding their farewells, Luis strolled out of the office towards the exit of the academy.
"Thanks for everything Imperial Academy! Receive my most sincere farewell." Luis mumbled to himself when he reached the exit of the academy.
As he turned around to walk on the solid concrete leading to his house, he bumped into a petite and vivacious with a shoulder-length hair girl that can be described as hot and sexy by men, but not to Luis, because he can only see her as an obscene and vain girl.
"Hey! Where are you going, peasant? Wait, is the all-out achiever of Imperial Academy going to cut classes for the first time?" The girl who mocked is Jenny.
"Questioning someone's action which you are already doing? What are you, an ass? You don't have the right to question my actions because this is my life! You don't know who I am so don't bark up the wrong tree!" Luis retorted as he continued to walk home and slightly bumped the girl's shoulder which made her fall bottom first.
Jenny was left dumbfounded after Luis retorted and when she processed and realized everything, Luis was long gone. Her dumbfounded look quickly changed and became enraged as she stamped her feet to the ground which made her heels and the concrete clatter.
"How dare him to insult me! I'll make sure to make him pay for what he did!" Jenny roared but the deep voice of a man sounded behind her.
"You don't need to waste your energy, Ms. Vegas. Your plans are all in vain because that kid is not coming back here anymore." The dean stated and the girl was confused when she heard it.
"B-but... But... Why?" She stuttered.
"A better school offered him a scholarship so I won't stop him, but you can't also stop me from bringing you to detention!" The dean ordered as he brought the girl to detention.
A while later. Luis arrived at their house, but he didn't notice it because he was preoccupied with the thought of what's in the box and who gave it? When he entered the house, he immediately ran towards his grandpa Francis.
This house was only occupied by him and his grandpa Francis. They lived alone because Luis didn't even know who was his parents, nor if they are still alive, and when he mentioned it to his grandpa, the old man only changes the topic. The poor kid didn't even know any relative beside his grandpa alone.
"Grandpa! Do you know where is this Divine Prophecy Academy? Even the school dean didn't know where it is?" Luis inquired.
"Did you say, Divine Prophecy? I think the thing that I'm expecting will happen soon." Grandpa Francis uttered.
"Expecting? So you know where this is?" Luis asked again. The old man responded by slowly shaking his head.
"I don't also know where this is, but maybe there's something in the box that can help. Did you open it?" The old man asked.
"Not yet. Should I open it now?"
"But before you open it, let me ask you something."
"What is it, grandpa?"
"Do you remember the story I told you about the first Demi-god war?"
"That fairy tale story? Of course! I've heard it from you countless times already." Luis replied sarcastically.
"I'm sure that when you open that box, you will believe everything that I've told you." The old man expressed as he moved back to give Luis some space to open the box.
