"I think we're already too late." Elena sighed as she placed her hands on Luis's neck but she can't find a single beat of his pulse.
"No! No, no, no... This is all my fault!" Elaine blamed herself.
"You don't have to blame yourself, Elaine, everything happens for a reason." Elenor comforted her.
"We just have to wait and see," Elena stated.
They get some things from Luis's backpack, towels, extra shirt, and first aid kit. They cleaned up his bloody face and change his tops into a new one. Elenor used her powers to make the grass grow at the part where Luis lies.
The once struggling and writhing in pain, Luis, now looked peaceful as if the young man only took a nap at that place.
"So, is this the place that we will bury him?" Elenor sadly asked.
"I'm sorry Luis! I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said those things to you!" Elaine burst out in tears when she heard that Luis is going to be buried.
"No! No burying will happen! He is not dead yet! Something's happening with his soul right now that's why I said we will wait and see." Elena answered seriously emphasizing the important parts.
Hours passed by and the unmoving Luis suddenly sprang up and breathe heavily as if he was oxygen-deprived and then...
"ARGH! Damn! My body hurts! Everything hurts!" Luis exclaimed as he lay back on the grass patch.
"Luis! Thank goodness you're alive!" Elaine burst into tears as she pounced towards Luis and gave him a hug on the neck.
"Ah! Elaine stop! It hurts! I might end up dying because of your hug!" Luis exclaimed.
"Elaine stop that! He only drank half a bottle of the recovery potion, so his body isn't fully recovered yet." Elenor reminded.
"I'm sorry Luis!" Elaine apologized as she loosens her grip and moved back to give Luis some space.
"Just lie down for now Luis and take a good rest." Elena directed as they prepared a camp where Luis was found and currently resting.
"Anyway, do you see the cave where I'm in?" Luis curiously asked when he remembered what happened to him.
"Cave? What cave? There's no cave around this area Luis. The only cave here is the one we took a rest earlier and the one at the top of Evergreen Mountain." Elenor answered in confusion.
"There's a cave around here somewhere, there's a spring inside of it and then there are the two dim lights that attacked me and then..." Luis insisted but he was stopped by Elenor.
"No need to explain everything Luis, as long as you are safe, it's alright!" Elenor comforted.
They ate and took a rest. Three days passed by and when Luis finally recovered, they immediately continued their journey to the Gorge of Discord.
While they walk towards the Gorge of Discord, a hiss can be heard circling them.
"Get ready to fight guys! A beast is preying on us!" Elenor reminded.
A 200 meters long serpent appeared in front of them. Its black-colored scales are glistening under the sunlight and the girth of its body is as thick as three trunks of a tree combined.
"Earth Skill: Mud-Slap!" Luis shouted waving his hand in the air but nothing happened.
"What's taking you so long Luis! Hurry up!" Elaine demanded.
"I can't! I can't use my powers!" Luis nervously responded as he continuously tried and to no avail. It always didn't work.
"His energy is probably not yet recovered so we need to take care of this Black Demon Python for now," Elena explained as she cast her spell.
"Terran Weaponry: Hundred Spires!" She shouted as a countless number of spires appeared and pierced the body of the serpent.
The serpent pounced towards Luis, it immediately shortened the distance between them and was about to devour Luis.
"Earth Manipulation: Mud Slide!" Elaine shouted as the place where Luis was standing suddenly became mud that made him slip and slide backward.
"Thanks, Elaine! Damn! Why doesn't my power work!" Luis thanked and kept on waving and pressing his hand up in the air.
"You're welcome! I won't let anything hurt you again! Ever!" Elaine responded. "I just don't want to be reminded of the guilt I felt." She muttered to herself.
"Earth Domain: Briar Field!" Elenor shouted as a large patch of the ground below the serpent glowed as briars sprang out and entangled the whole serpent.
"Damn it! Work!" Luis exclaimed out of frustration as he kept on waving his hand up in the air.
"Don't let it bother you, Luis!" Elena stated as she kept the spires from leaving the serpent's body.
Suddenly, a bright white light flashed and hit the head of the serpent. It pierced through the head of the serpent and it exploded.
The body of the serpent slumped to the ground as its scale changed its color from black into white then grey and changed back into the black. A moment later, smoke came out of the body as the only thing left of the beast is its skin and a brilliant grey orb inside it.
"What happened? Where does that light come from?" Elaine asked confused.
"I don't know either." Elena calmly stated.
"Uh... sisters, look behind us," Elenor asked doubting.
From behind, they saw Luis standing there dumbfounded, his hands spread open as a small trace of smoke can be seen from his palms.
"What did I do?" Luis asked blankly because he is still in a state of shock, unbelieving about what he just did.
"No matter what it is, at least it helped us." Elena calmly stated.
"We will take the serpent's skin, you take the orb. That thing is probably the most precious in this beast." Elena added.
"But you did most of the work! I only blasted an unknown thing out of my hand!" Luis refused.
"No, you will take it. We don't even know what it is and that thing doesn't come from the beasts. Probably it was caused by that power you released." Elena explained as she handed the orb down to Luis.
After keeping the loot, they immediately continued their journey until they reached a deep cliff.
"Welcome to Gorge of Discord!" Elaine cheerfully stated.
"Combination Spell: Sylph's Blessing!" Elena, Elenor, and Elaine cast together as a green aura came out of Luis.
"Now, off you go!" Elaine teased as she pushed Luis off the cliff.
"Ah! I don't know how to fly!" Luis's screams as his voice echoed and slowly faded away.
"Yeah we know, that's why we cast a spell on you!" Elenor smiled after they caught up with Luis.
Luis suddenly got confused and as he looked at the cliff, he saw that the way it moves is so slow or the way he falls is slow.
"My goodness! You should have warned me first!" Luis complained as he let himself fall slowly towards the ground.
"Then if we do that, there will be no fun! Bleh!" Elaine teased as she moved her tongue out.
Just a minute passed and they reached the bottom of the cliff. The place is pitch black as Luis can't even see a thing.
"Before we move, I must warn first. Luis, don't make a light down here. Beasts here are sensitive to light, we can't fight them all together." Elena warned.
"But I can't see a thing! I might bump into some beast if I can't see." Luis complained.
"Night Forest: Nocturnal Sight!" Elenor cast and Luis suddenly felt his eyes itchy.
He squinted and rub it, when he opened his eyes, he can see the surroundings like it's daylight.
"Now? Can you see it?" Elenor asked.
"Yeah! As clear as day!" Luis answered.
They continued their journey avoiding all the large beast taking a nap on the ground and the walls of the cliff. An hour later, they reached a dead-end where Luis can't find another way other than climbing back up.
"We go down, and we climb back up again. What a tiring trip this is." Luis complained.
"Who says we're climbing up?" Elaine teased as she rushed towards the wall.
She disappeared like she has been devoured by the wall.
"You don't have to be so shocked with these things," Elenor stated as she followed suit.
Elena quietly and elegantly followed. Luis touched the walls and as he placed it, he doesn't feel the solidity of the wall, and instead, he touched nothing as if he's touching the air.
He pushed against it until his whole body passed through the wall. Inside the wall, he saw a whole new place. Three gigantic trees can be seen from far away and a meadow look so peaceful and calm as if he entered a paradise.
"We officially welcome you to the Earthern Shrine!" Elaine welcomed as she pranced around the meadow.
"We will meet 'him' when we reached that three towering trees," Elenor stated as she pointed at the three gigantic trees from afar.
They walked for hours and the three trees still looked the same as if they're not having some progress.
"It might look like we are not moving but actually, we're almost there," Elenor assured him as they continued going towards the trees.
An hour passed and they reached the place where the three trees were. The roots of it are so gigantic that it can be housed by hundreds of families. Its trunks are so huge as if he saw himself as a termite under this gigantic tree.
"This is the Earthern Shrine where 'he' currently lives." Elenor introduced.
"Who are you human who trespassed my sacred domain!" A very loud and deep voice condemned.
