Cecile slowly got up. Her hands continued to pat the dust on her half-dirty blue dress. She only got a little wound on the palm of her hand.
Looking up, she had lost track of the blue butterfly she was aiming for. Cecile complained to herself.
Sweeping the sight around, it was a vast wilderness. With towering trees. The twilight red mega began to appear in the sky which was almost partially immersed in the slightly darkened green leaves.
It was a sign that dusk had arrived and night would soon be approaching. Picking up the basket that had fallen, Cecile quoted some of the remaining flowers.
Cecile decided to go home by following each flower petal that she dropped on the road.
Just halfway through, Cecile found someone standing in the distance. It was a cloaked girl in white fur. Feather that felt familiar in Cecile's eyes. What was most surprising was the girl's hair.
The colour was red almost like rose. Wrinkling her forehead, Cecile thought hard. Was there someone with coloured hair like that?
It was a wilderness and Cecile found a girl in it. Besides the appearance was strange, didn't the rest feel odd? which normal girl would come alone into the forest like this?
It was not the result of chasing butterflies it seems, like her?
Cecile tried to put her worries aside. Speeding up her pace, she only focused her eyes downward. Looking for traces of each flower petal that she spread earlier.
Until finally she found a pair of bare feet on the ground coming to step on the petals. The colour of her skin was so pale that it almost accentuated the greenish purple veins on her feet.
Lifting her face. Cecile found the strange girl she had seen. Right in front of her. Cecile gasped and stepped backwards.
The girl had a mysterious smile on her face. Made Cecile who saw her, goosebumps on the spot.
Up close Cecile could see that the girl's face was very beautiful. To her surprise. It was not only that her hair was red. But also her eyes were red like blood.
Slowly the wind blew softly. The rustling of the rubbing leaves broke the silence of the forest. Cecile faintly smelled a very striking scent of roses in the air.
Could it be from that strange girl?
The symbol of Zeath's greatness was the rose. Almost everything about taste and customs is always closely related to roses. So Cecile can't go wrong with her smell.
Cecile felt very scared. What if the one in front of her was a forest guard? Just imagine Cecile shivering on the spot.
Trying to stay calm. Cecile chose to avert her gaze. Move one step aside. Cecile continued her journey without noticing the strange girl's whereabouts.
"I want your eyeballs"
Deg!
Did that strange girl just talk? And want her eyeballs?
Cecile's whole body trembled. As she got ready to run. The wild plants suddenly rose from the ground. It grew very fast and immediately twisted her legs. Cecile failed to escape.
"Take it easy I won't hurt you"
The girl stepped before her.
Her thin red lips twitched. She raised her hands in the air. And her tapering fingers, touching Cecile's smooth face.
"So pretty!" She said then. Her voice was so subtle, it was almost a whisper.
Cecile felt the hairs rose on the nape of her neck. The girl in the white fur cloak had pale white skin. She could see fine purple veins appearing on both sides of her face.
Her eyes red like blood, lit up. Her long wavy red hair was swept away by the wind. The longer Cecile looked, the more she gasped for breath. Cecile was increasingly convinced that the girl was a guardian of the forest.
"L-let go of me! Let me go" Cecile stuttered. Her heartbeat accelerated. And she is now breathing unsteadily. Looking down, her legs were still wrapped in weeds.
"I will-" Said the red-haired girl. Her lips curved in sharp. It was not clear whether it was smiling or not. "But after I exchanged our eyeballs"
"N-no!" Cecile exclaimed hysterically.
Cecile really wanted to cry at this time. Swapping their eyeballs. 'What does it mean?'
Cecile had just stepped into this forest. She didn't do anything destructive at all. Then why did this forest guard bother her?
"Why not? Look!" The red-haired girl grabbed Cecile's pointed chin and lifted it firmly towards her.
"Look me in the eye" She said aloud. "Don't you like my eyeballs?"
Cecile choked. She is human. Who would love eyes red as blood like that? Trying to stay calm, Cecile said.
"You have beautiful eyes. So there's no need to exchange them."
Cecile had mustered all her courage to say that sentence.
The red haired girl had a smile on her face. Her pair of lashes fluttered intricately. Unlike before, it looked a little melancholy. Her red eyes that had been gleaming sharply. It was dimming.
"But unfortunately this is blocking my happiness" She said softly.
Linking a pair of eyebrows. Cecile thought. Was this girl really the forest guard? Or maybe she's human just like her. It's just that she has a little disorder that makes her unhappy.
Cecile immediately brushed her mind. It can't be human. The plant wrapped around her legs at this point was self-explanatory. That the girl was the guardian of the forest. And she has the magic to control the plants around here.
"So I need your eyeballs for my happiness"
"No!!!" Cecile exclaimed aloud.
Now Cecile was very sorry. She should have heard Anne's warning beforehand not to go too far.
Now the sun had set on the western horizon. The red mega in the sky slowly disappeared. The atmosphere of the forest that was orange, slowly darkened.
The wind blew stronger than before. It penetrated into her thin blue dress. Penetrating into the pores of his skin. Cecile shivered coldly.
Glancing down, he saw that the coils of the vines below were not too thick. Maybe if he forced his legs to move. It will be cut off.
The slightest hope arose. Cecile firmly moved both legs trying to release the twist from his feet. The harder he tried, the more pain he felt. Because the vines didn't break at all. It only wrapped around her legs even harder. Her soft skin was almost torn apart by the twisting.
"It's useless!" The red haired girl saw what Cecile was doing. "The more you move, the more the plant wraps around your feet harder"
"I beg you to let me go .." Said Cecile softly. Her brown eyes glistened with tears.
"Sure..."
Hearing that, Cecile got his hope back. Her straight lashes fluttered. It looked like a broken butterfly wing had just risen.
"But after you gave your eyeballs to me"
