Today Melvine was feeling too tired , however she didn't know the reason behind this tiredness . Ryan didn't take long to notice her uneasiness . He couldn't help but ask , " What's wrong with you today ? Are you too tired ? "
" I don't know why but I'm feeling very uncomfortable today . " , she answered .
" Uncomfortable ? "
" Yes . It's not just tiredness but something else , I don't know . "
" Well darling , if you don't know , let me see then ." , saying that he pulled her closer by her waist . She got startled by his sudden action . She was looking down in order to avoid his stare , she recalled the kiss between Ryan and Nia . For some unknown reason she felt angry towards him .
" Leave me , what are you doing ? We're in the middle of a street . " , she said while trying to push him .
Ryan lifts her chin with his long finger and said with a grin , " Darling , you know very well that there is no one here except for the two of us. Now tell me , is it just tiredness or you're disturbed because of my interaction with Nia ? Don't tell me , you're jealous of our intimacy . "
" I am not jealous of anyone and also I'm not even slightest bit interested in anything related to you . I just want to break free from you as soon as possible . " , she said simply .
But ..... it was a lie . If not completely , definitely a half - lie . She was interested in him . If not in his dating life , definitely about his identity . She didn't know anything about him except for his name and the fact that he roams near the willow forest at night . And that was the most suspicious fact about him . Everyone in this town knew that willow forest is one of the most infamous areas , and it becomes most dangerous at night hour . And if a person roams around such infamous area at such hour that means , the person isn't just an ordinary person .
" Oh darling , don't worry about that . I will leave you alone myself as soon as I get what I want . " , he said in his usual lazy voice .
" And w..what do you want f..from me ? " , she asked in a trembling voice .
" Darling , you really don't know what exactly I want ? "
She looked down again . Then she said in an emotionless voice , " Then why are you wasting so much time ? Just take it and let me go . "
She definitely wanted to get free from Ryan but she wasn't this desperate about that . She has always thought that Ryan won't be interested in her and eventually leave her alone . May be she was right but she herself brought this topic which would now most probably bring the very disaster that she wanted to avoid so badly . She , however , still doesn't realise why she was being this desperate . And what was this desperation about ? Even she herself was a bit shocked after saying those to Ryan .
" Darling , are you sure that you're ready for that ? "
" I am . Do whatever you want and after that set me free as soon as you can . "
" Darling , why are you behaving like as if I abuse you ? Don't you think , I'm far better than that Derek ? "
She didn't reply , actually she didn't have any reply to his remark .
" How many girls have you called darling so far ? " , she asked some moments later .
" Umm , I haven't counted ."
" Ten ? "
" More than ten . "
" Twenty ? "
" More than that ." , Ryan said with a smirk .
Melvine scoffed and asked again , " Forty ? "
" Hehe , less than that , darling . "
She was irritated so she said again ," Forget it . Which number was Nia ? "
" Umm , sixth from the last one . " , he waited for some time for her to reply and continued , " Didn't you say , you are not interested about us ? " , he then let out a toothy grin and said , " Let's go . "
Melvine rolled her eyes as she couldn't help but accept how irritatingly smart Ryan was .

After a long slumber , finally Enilese was feeling very refreshed . She got up and sat leaning on the pillow . She looked around the room and saw that she was alone in the room . ' What time is it ? How long have I been sleeping ? Sleeping ? Does that mean whatever I saw was just nightmare ? But , Rain's comments were real so .... not nightmare ? Then ..... would Shawn .... ' , her thoughts got interrupted by the opening sound of the door . Selina entered the room with a tray .
" Oh , you are awake ! " , she came to Enilese and sits beside her . She placed her hand on Enilese's forehead and then said , " Thank god , your fever is gone . Did you sleep well ? "
Enilese nodded .
" Are you feeling better ? "
" Hmm . " , Enilese replied with a small smile .
" I was so worried when your condition deteriorated yesterday . It's good to see your refreshed self again . Anyway , you must be hungry . I made some healthy soup for you . "

Selina was feeding her . Some times later Enilese asked , " Selina , what time is it ? And how long have I been sleeping ? "
" It's nine now . You've been sleeping since this morning . "
" Oh . "
" What are you thinking ? "
" Nothing much . I'm just thinking about the training for the next level . "
Selina looked up at her and asked , " Is it because of Rain's comments... ? "
" Not entirely but wasn't she right anyway ? indeed I failed to take down even a single creature ? , she cuts Selina off .
" Enilese , what makes you think that you would be able to take down those creatures if you go into the next level ? "
" Pierce told me once , the next levels make your spirit powers more effective . So I ...."
" So you decided to go for it , without any judgement . " , Selina cuts her off .
" Judgement ? What kind of judgement ? Is Pierce wrong ? " , her voice was still weak and slow .
" No , he is not wrong . But do you know that every spirit power is different from another ? "
Enilese shook her head as no .
" Let me tell you then . Enilese , though there are three levels for all the spirit powers but the toughness of levels vary from one spirit to another . Every spirit power works differently . Similarly different spirit powers have different special capabilities as well as limitations . "
" I don't understand your point . Are you saying that next levels are not necessary for some powers ? "
" No , they are necessary but what I'm asking you is to know about the nature of your spirit . "
Enilese just stared at her confusedly .
" Okay , Enilese listen carefully , there are spirits who are very hard to control , those spirits are undoubtedly very bold and powerful ; so if you manage to pass even the first level that means you are more skillful than enough , and the power you are using in that first level is enough to destroy most of the dangerous creatures .
Then , there are spirits who are mild in nature and therefore easy to control . But don't think that they are less powerful , they are also very powerful but in a different way . "
" Different way ? "
" Hmm . All the spirits are powerful in their own way . While the bold spirits are so good in destruction the mild spirits are well known for their healing powers . So basically , you can't expect healing from a destructive spirit and destruction from a spirit has the power of healing . Can you ? "
" But all the spirits can heal as well as destroy . Can't they ? "
" No , not everyone . There are limitations ."
" So you mean , my Nature spirit is one of the healing spirits ? So if I pass the next levels my healing skills would improve but my destructive skills won't ? "
" Right . Enilese , not everyone possesses healing powers . You got them so cherish it . Use your skills with proper judgement and you won't be disappointed ever . Isn't giving life better than taking it ? ...
So if you're going to train for next levels don't think of doing it to increase your destructive skills . "
" I understand . I will cherish my spirit powers . Thank you for explaining me this well . "
" Okay , rest now . I have something to do . And don't think too much . "
Enilese nodded and said , " All right .... Selina , can you bring me my phone ? "
Selina gave her the phone and left .
She felt a bit relieved after talking to Selina . But flashes of her dream returned to her as soon as she looked at the phone which was now waiting to be switched on . Flashes of Shawn's ignoring .....his hurtful words ..... break up .... flooded her mind.
' He didn't forget about me . Did he ? He tried to contact me when I was unconscious . Right ? We haven't met for many days . My dreams won't come true , right ? ' , she had a lot of questions in her mind because of the dream . She was constantly thinking that her dream was going to be true . She was nervous . In such state she turned her phone on . After a few seconds the screen became visible to her . Her eyes teared up the moment she saw the screen . The screen was enough to indicate ....zero missed calls ...zero text messages .... nothing from Shawn .

Ryan and Melvine came close to her home .
" Darling , I thought about it and I decided that since you are so desperate to break free from me , I must fulfil your wish . " , he suddenly said .
Melvine was a bit astonished after hearing his remark . She asked ," You really would let me go ? " Her voice was devoid of any emotion . But was it supposed to be like this ? Shouldn't she be happy ....she herself couldn't understand her emotions that day . This sudden desperation to break free or should we say break up ? Then not feeling the happiness which was supposed to be felt after getting the long waited wish getting fulfilled....were all those really not because of Nia .....?? .....or were those simply not the mood swings of a jealous girlfriend ??
" Of course darling , I'll leave you alone but I must take what I want . And I'll take it . " , he said .
" W..when ? "
" Aww , darling , why are you getting nervous ? Weren't you being very brave moments ago ? "
" I'm not nervous . "
" Really , then why don't we start from here ? "
By that time they already reached the main door of her house .
" Whatever . " , she said as she rolled her eyes . ' Let it be over . I can't change anything anymore . I couldn't have averted it anyway . This would have happened any day . Let it be today . ' , she thought to herself .
She was going to unlock the door when Ryan swiftly pulled her hand and held both of her hands behind her back . Their bodies were so close to each other .
" W...what are y...you doing ? " , she stuttered because of his sudden action .
" Ssh , let me do what I have to . " , he placed his finger on her lips and said , she got chills after hearing his voice .
" A...at least l..let me o...open the door . "
" It's not needed darling , just co-operate . "
Ryan leaned in towards her , she tightly closed her eyes , it was her first time experiencing all these , it was the first time that she was this much close to a man , her emotions were in turmoil . She could feel his breath on her face . She was so nervous that anyone could hear the sound of her heartbeat at that moment . She felt Ryan's hand on her neck , his touch was cold....icy cold . After a few seconds she didn't feel Ryan's lips on hers rather she started feeling very uncomfortable as if her whole body was burning from inside but mysteriously the skin of her neck where Ryan was touching her was getting colder , she was feeling numb around her neck as she felt Ryan's grip getting tighter , it was very painful . She opened her eyes only to find some water streams spiralling around her . She couldn't see Ryan properly because of the water streams . Through the gaps of the streams she could see only his eyes , his bright soul piercing eyes were fixed upon her without blinking . She was scared , scared of this unknown side of Ryan , scared of the unknown process that was happening with her . She wanted to scream but not a single sound came out off her throat when she tried to . she couldn't grasp what was happening with her neither she was in the position to think about anything . The only thing she was feeling was pain ..... unexplainable pain . She was feeling like dying . She couldn't take that any longer , after a few more painful moments .... everything went black before her eyes .
