A vast lake ... its dark green crystal clear water .....far away on the other side of the lake , another forsaken forest stood ..... covering its lonely face with a sheet of heavy mist ....the last thing the eyes can manage to see after the forest was a series of ethereal looking bluish mountain peaks , standing in the soft garlands of clouds ...the entire space was shining with divine sparkle .
" Mountains .... of spirits . " , Selina whispered .
After Riley and Selina managed to see the scene , behind the dense cover of the bushes they got so overwhelmed that none said anything for almost five minutes . They really didn't expect that ....the Godforsaken forest had been hiding such a celestial space . Who could have expected such thing ?
The mountains of spirits was another mystery of the town . For angels it was the most welcoming space possible . But for common people it was just another unnatural , or probably , supernatural existence . The mountains of spirits is more like a myth.... people believe that one glimpse of the mountains can save them from their miseries . But getting a glimpse of the mountains was almost impossible .
Very few people were lucky enough to see the mountains of spirits . But things got mysterious when the people couldn't find the mountains where they previously saw them anymore . And that raised questions about whether the mountains were real or just the imagination of some tired minds who wanted to find a better world . Things got more complicated when some other group of people shared the news of their seeing the mountains from a completely different area . But again the mountains could not be seen for the second time , as if the mountains were completely vanished in the air . And this kind of experiences started happening so many times that people stopped trying to find the mountains . They came to the conclusion that someone needed to be in a particular space on a particular time to be able to see the mountains . But nobody knew , where the particular space was as well as when the time was proper .
Selina sat down on the ground , inhaling the fresh air . She softly said , " It's so peaceful here . "
If she were alone she would have stayed there as long as she could but she was with Riley and everyone knew that Riley didn't like to waste time for unnecessary stuffs . So she couldn't possibly do as she pleases .
' I feel very tired of everything . I feel at ease after a while , I don't want to leave from here . ' , she thought in her mind . Her eyes ....stared into nowhere ...there was , in her autumn eyes , a calmness .....after a long time .
" Let's take a small break . " , Riley said , looking at her .
Selina didn't expect him to say that but she was more than happy . She nodded . Riley sat down too , looking at the calm water .
Sometimes later Riley spoke up , " It's indeed a myth ..... one glimpse of mountain of spirits and you are saved from your misery . " , there was a tint of sarcasm in his tone .
Selina came out of her thoughts hearing Riley's voice . It was out of Riley's character to say anything except for work related stuff . She was a bit surprised .
" Why ? " , she asked .
" Your life is so miserable ..... even after having such a close relation to the mountains ....the mountains can't really control one's happiness then . "
Selina frowned at him , as if asking what he was trying to say .
" You shouldn't have bared your emotions so openly near someone who can read minds without much effort . "
Selina realised that all her secrets were opened to Riley . She didn't react but she said , " You could've ignored my emotions then . You didn't need to know . "
" Move on . " , Riley was very precise with his words , he didn't need to say anything irrelevant , the two words were enough for Selina to understand what he meant .
" I didn't expect you to say anything that's not related to your job . " , Selina said to change the subject . But Riley didn't indulge in further conversation , he went back to his usual silent self .
Riley's eyes were fixed at the water ..... and ... Selina's eyes were fixed on ..... Riley .
Riley felt her gaze and looked straight into her eyes , Selina didn't say anything but didn't avert her eyes either . Some moments later he said , " I can be the one ...the one , you're expecting me to be .
Some drops of tears fell from Selina's eyes but she nodded with a small smile . There was a lot in her smile .... relief ? ..... gratitude ? ....peace ? ...let's not make the things complicated ... on simplest term there was a pure happiness .

Dark Soul Base .
Shawn , Ryan and Aaron were at the hall , reporting about their respective jobs .
" Guys , the problem concerning the Daisy Hospital is solved . " , Aaron reported .
" That's amazing . Anyway did you see any other affected people ? " , Ryan said .
" No there wasn't any . "
" That's a relief . By the way , it wasn't too hard for you to manage him , was it ? And what did you do with him ? "
" It wasn't hard at all . Guess what ? He agreed very easily ...and .....I've brought him with me . " , Aaron said proudly .
" Good job , Aaron . He can be a helpful piece for us . " Shawn said .

Ryan was busy in his phone when he felt someone's presence at the door of his room . He looked at the direction only to find Ammie standing there with a weird look . Ryan was startled .
" Oh my ... what kind of expression is that and why are you still up ? " , Ryan asked with a frown .
Ammie approached Ryan and sat down beside him . She said in a coquettish voice , " Ryan , I missed you . "
" Really darling ? But why do I feel like you need something from me ? " , Ryan asked back in the same tone .
" Ahh , what are you talking about ? Can't I miss you ? " , she stuttered .
" Of course you can but isn't it so sudden ? .... Darling , I know you very well . Just tell me , what do you want this time ? "
" Ryan , you know , there's a science exhibition taking place tomorrow . I really want to attend the exhibition . Can I go ? Please !! " , Ammie excitedly said .
" Where is it taking place ? "
Ammie told him the details of the exhibition . Ryan immediately said , " That's so far and that area is not very safe . So I can't allow you to go ...
" Please , please , I'll be safe . It's just for one day . " , Ammie cut him off .
Ryan said , " Darling , let me finish first . "
Ammie looked down and said , " Okay . "
Ryan smiled at her reaction and continued , " I wanted to say , I can't allow you to go there alone . So I'll take you there . "
Ammie smiled brightly and said , " Thank you so much Ryan . " , she hugged him and said again , " You are the best . "

It was raining heavily . The night was already cold , the rain made it three times colder . The sound of constant rain along with the faint sound of blowing wind was producing a kind of intoxicating vibe . People who had already fallen asleep missed a lot and this missed experience could never be retrieved again . They would not be able to experience the calming yet intoxicating pleasure ever again .
There was something very special in today's weather . It was the first rain in the five months long winter .The untimely rain was playing with everyone's emotions . At one moment it was giving one the most friendly comfort and at the very next moment it was making them question all the wrong decisions of their life .
Enilese was sitting in front of the widely open window , her eyes were filled with unbounded appreciation for the beauty of the night . Time to time a gust of chilly wind was colliding against her delicate figure and giving her chills , yet she wasn't ready to shut the window . By that anyone could guess how much she liked such weather . She was sitting like that for who knows how long , still she had no hurry to go to bed . She was completely lost in the view outside the window when she heard a ' ting ' sound from her phone . She checked her phone , it was a message from Shawn .
' You are still up . Aren't you ? '
' How do you know ? ' , she replied .
' It's not that hard to guess . '
' Really ? How ? '
' The weather is so beautiful tonight . I know , you love nature's beauty more than everything ; you won't really miss the beautiful experience just for sleep . Isn't so ? '
Enilese smiled and replied , ' You know me so well . '
' Anyway , I'm not interrupting your enjoyment , am I ? '
' Even if you are interrupting your interruptions are always welcomed . '
' Glad to hear . By the way , close the windows . '
' How come you know that too ? You aren't really watching me , are you ? '
' I don't need to watch you to guess that . As you said , I know you very well . '
' Ohh , I get it . I'll , don't worry . '

Selina was about to leave but Rain called her back , " Wait , since you're going to your room deliver this file to Pierce on your way . "
Selina became tensed , " Why me ? Why don't you ....."
