Some days later .
Late at night .
One of the most dangerous areas of the town .
Pierce was facing a serious problem . In front of him was lying an unconscious man , seriously injured . The man was being attacked by some deadly creatures a few minutes ago . By the time Pierce was able to rescue the man from the group of creatures , the unconscious man was already bleeding a lot . Pierce managed to stop the bleeding a bit , then he checked whether the person was alive or not . Fortunately he was still alive but his condition was getting severe with every passing moment . Pierce decided to take the person to hospital and only then he realised what a serious problem it was to take the man to hospital . Tonight everyone was occupied with their own duties , Pierce alone had duty in this area , the area was very deserted and it was very late at night therefore there were noone who could help Pierce to carry the man to hospital . He thought of calling someone to help him out but he also knew that it would take a long time for them to arrive here and the man would not last that long . It's not that Pierce was weak to carry someone but the person was a full grown man and his weight was not something to be easily carried by one person . After much thought and some futile attempt to carry the man he decided to drag him to the hospital .
' I have no other option except this but I'll try my best not to cause any more harm to him . It's a relief that the hospital is not very far from this area .' , he thought to himself and started dragging the man slowly . It's needless to say that it wasn't easy at all .
After a few moments of dragging he heard someone , behind him , uttering a sentence ; a sentence that was so relieving for Pierce at that moment ;
" Do you need any help ? "

Angels Base
Most of the members were out because of their duties . The remaining ones were asleep but not everyone . Rain was working on some reports in her room when she heard someone knocking at her door . She frowned a bit and asked , " Who is it ? "
A low voice came , " It's me , Selina ."
Rain went to the door and opened it for her , then went back to the table where she had been working . Selina followed after her and stopped near the table .
Rain asked , " Why are you here at this hour ? If I am not wrong you had duty tonight . Is it over ? "
" Yeah , I've just returned . I've come to deliver this report . " , saying that Selina put a folded paper in front of Rain .
Rain looked up at her and said , " What Is that important that you couldn't even wait for tomorrow morning ? "
" It is important . And it's you who was repeatedly asking for this report for the last few days . I saw your lights were on so I decided to deliver it . The sooner you get this report the better . "
" I see . "
Selina was about to leave but she stopped as she remembered something .
She said , " Can I request you something ? "
Rain looked up at her and made a puzzled look , she said , " Request ?! To me ?! Should I be honoured ? "
Of course Selina sensed the sarcasm in her voice . So she waited for a proper reply .
Rain said , " Okay , let's hear it . "
Selina started , " Actually it's about Enilese . Don't behave so rudely with her . She is very sensitive . I saw how you behaved with her this morning . She just asked a question and that also not to you . Then why did you react so badly to her ? She was really upset after that . "
" Did she send you as a defender on her behalf ? I must say , she knows how to influence others ."
" She didn't send me . It's totally from my part . Please don't behave with her like her . She hasn't even done anything to you . Please think about it . "
" Look , I don't really care about how she feels and all that . It's not my concern . She is so irritating . Her nature annoys me everytime . She deserves that kind of behaviour ."
" Even though you find her annoying you still have no right to insult her in that way . Don't you think so ? "
" What if I say I don't think so . It's always my own choice how I'll behave with others . And you are wasting your time , I will behave with her as I want . Anyway , if you don't have anything else to say you can leave because I still have a lot to finish . "
" It's fine . ", Selina said without much expression and left .
" I don't understand what the others find so good in that girl . So annoying . " Rain said and continued with the reports again .

Pierce turned around and saw a man in completely black outfit . Pierce frowned upon seeing his outfit . He was suspicious about the man's identity since he knew which group use this kind of dress code . Of course normal people can wear black too but then again common people don't roam around places like this at this hour . So Pierce asked , " Who are you ? And what are you doing here at this hour ? Are you common human or something else ? "
" Well , I can ask you the same set of questions but I think our priority is to take him to the hospital . " , he said looking at the unconscious man , " Isn't it ? " , saying that he shifted his gaze from the man to Pierce .
Pierce was still suspicious about him but he couldn't help but agree with him .
Pierce said , " Okay we'll talk later . Let's take him to the hospital first . "
The man nodded and walked to Pierce and the injured man .

In the hospital .
Pierce and the man who helped him were in the waiting area . The doctors had just taken the injured man for treatment . Some times later , Pierce turned to the man and saw that he was standing crossing his arms , he had no expression on his face . He looked at Pierce as he felt Pierce's gaze on him . Pierce said , " Hey , thanks for your help . I wouldn't have succeeded to bring him here alone . With your help it was easier to carry him . "
' Of course it was easier to carry him . After all the Wind helped us . ' , the man said in his mind but he said out loud , " It's okay , it's not a big deal . Okay then , I'll leave now . I hope , you would manage the rest . " , he was about to leave when Pierce said , " Wait . "
The man looked back at Pierce and waited for him to continue .
Pierce continued , " Yes , I can manage the rest on my own . That's not the reason that I stopped you . I stopped you to resume our conversation . Now that we're not in a hurry anymore , answer the questions I asked earlier . "
" I don't think , I'm bound to answer anyone .
Am I ? "
Pierce couldn't answer back because it was really true that despite of being a member of the Angel group he had no authority to ask anything to any random guy . He couldn't reveal his identity either to impose some kind of superiority over others . So he said after some thoughts , " Don't see it in that way , I was just asking out of curiosity . You know how the town is like . So in such a town , finding someone in a dangerous place and that also in the most perilous time definitely raises suspicion about that person . "
" Well , the same suspicion can be raised about you . Don't you think so ? " How about you answer first the same questions that you asked earlier . "
Pierce thought for a moment and said , " I was passing through the area when I saw that man in that condition . Nothing special . "
" Same with me . I saw you struggling with him . So I decided to help . "
Pierce could sense that this conversation would not stop ever as the person in front of him was very smart . He would not reveal a single bit of actual information about him if Pierce doesn't take the first step . Pierce was very tired by now to play the game now , so he decided to drop the topic . ' He helped me . And that's enough to assume that he is a helpful person . I think , I shouldn't think much about his outfit . ' , Pierce thought and decided to end this . He said , " Anyway I'm Pierce . And thanks again for your help . "
" No need to thank me that much . It's our duty to help others . I'll leave now , I've other things to do ." He started walking away . Pierce was looking at his retreating back , he couldn't say why but his mind was telling him that there's something evil in the man's aura . After a few steps the man stopped and said without turning back , " It's Shawn . " , with that he left without giving Pierce any more chance to say anything more further .
