Chapter 31 - CHAPTER 30: THE SENSITIVE BLIND MOLE.

"So this is pleaid academy I have heard so much about." Elder Chung said.

He got off the car majestically, stood and began to move his head from left to right as if to observe the environment. Prof. Hiro came out of the school building, a little bit in haste and a little bit slow...

"Welcome Elder." Prof. Hiro said. "It's a pleasure to have you with us."

"Let's cut the chase already." Elder Chung said. "You never wanted me here..... Do you?"

Silence.

"I wish that was true." Prof. Hiro remarked. "We're honored to have you visit us..... Not all Elders do."

"It's true what they say." Elder Chung smiled. "You're good with words.... I guess I might like you."

Prof. Hiro bowed slightly.

"Please don't do that... I may be blind." Elder Chung adjust his shades. "But I could still see what you're doing... Please rise."

"If that is what you want sir." Prof. Hiro said.

Elder Chung walked into the school with ease as if he has been there before, Stories about his sensitivity is beyond measure that he earned the nickname "the sensitive blind mole."

Prof. Hiro walked by his side as they walked towards his office.

Sandy yawned as he walked through the lobby towards the gym, he looked tired and frustrated at the same time that he almost felt like he wants to puke.

"Like seriously..." He finally yelled. "I mean what the hell."

"What's going on Sandy.?" Neil asked. "Why are you angry?"

"We just escaped one trouble and we end up with another." He growled.

"Hey... It's just for a day you know." Neil smiled.

"Really?" Sandy asked.

"No." Ned answers.

"You're sure of a mood killer." Neil looked at Ned.

"But it's the truth you know." Ned looked innocently.

"And how are you going to cheer him up now?" Neil points to Sandy.

Ned turn to see Sandy running with tears in his eyes as he kept wailing along the way.

"This is so unfair..... Not again..... Why another one..... What is all this?"...

Neil crossed his arm and looked at Ned with an expression that tells him just one thing.

"Well done mate... You've just made it worse."

Neil shook his head before he continued walking towards the gym.

"I heard you're here on official business." Prof. Hiro asked. "May I know what it is?"

"I was given the opportunity to go through all academies around the country to see how the future gifted leaders are faring." Elder Chung looked over to Prof. Hiro's chair.

"Well all has been going well." Prof. Hiro said.

"And how's their training going?" Elder Chung asked. "Most especially the new gifteds in your school."

"And what about them." Prof. Hiro asked.

"I heard the ministry say that those kids are extremely powerful." Elder Chung sat upright. "So I came to confirm it myself."

"Well... That Intel is wrong." Prof. Hiro adjusts himself. "They're kids who can't control their abilities."

Silence

Elder Chung smiled calmly, he stood up and went to the window and stood there, he inhaled heavily as if he perceived some nice aroma in the air.

"These students are well powerful gifteds.... I could feel their powers." Elder Chung smiled as he thought.

"And what is he up to now?" Prof. Hiro thought.

He turned.

"I need some air... Can you give me a little tour around the school." Elder Chung pleaded.

"Alright sir." Prof. Hiro stood from his chair.

Both of them walked out of the office and walked down the lobby, Prof. Hiro walked to the secretary.

"I will be back... Take care of things around here." He said.

"Yes sir." She replied.

He nodded, then gestured for Elder Chung too follow him... Elder Chung smiled before walking out of the door.

"This is a disaster." Sandy complained.

"Hey... Why all this weird behavior?" Neil asked.

"Yeah.. You've acting weird lately." Rory looked with concern. "What's wrong mate?"

Sandy walked with his head bowed before lifting it to see the concern in his friends eyes, guess he doesn't have to hide it anymore.

"I just can't take it anymore." Sandy bellowed. "This torture is too massive for me to endure."

"Huh." Everyone looked at Sandy as he began to yell on his knees.

Silence

"Would you just man up and say it." Reece yelled. "You cry like a lady."

"Sure he does." Jayden laughed

"This is too unbearable." Sandy yelled again.

"Seems I understand why he's in pains." Ned adjust his specks.

"What?" They asked.

"It's this weeks exercise of course.... It's bugging him off." Ned looked at Sandy. "It's the role play we're in."

"How?" Clint asked.

"Trying to pretend to be someone he's not is one hell of a problem that can make things complicated." Ned finished.

"I see.... The acting of a thing for a whole week is really nothing but a pain in the ass... Guess he's had enough and he's just tired of acting... So what do we do." Neil looked at his friends. "Huh.... Guys."

Neil looked around him and saw just Ned standing close to him... He too is lost in thoughts, then he looked at Sandy's direction to see all of them on their knees yelling.

"Unbearable.!!!!"

"Seriously." Neil said as he look at them, frustrated. "What kind of creatures are these?"

"Didn't you just said he should man up." Ned yelled.

.

Neil walked towards the gym for their daily performance and it's really frustrating.

"It's been six days now... And we're still acting." Neil thought. "This role play is really making everyone tired and performance-sick... I only hope today would just get it over with."

He turned to see Sandy washing his face with water, his face has gone puffy and his eyes red for he had practiced all night just to get his role right.

Neil looked at him with pity before he swayed towards him and tapped Sandy on the shoulder, he turned slowly to look at the one who has tapped him.

"Hey there blonde." Sandy managed a smile.

"Blonde... Since when did you start calling me that?" Neil asked.

"Would you blame me." Sandy swallowed. "Am trying to remember my role in this whole stealth acting."

"And what about it?" Neil asked.

"I just forgot how the role goes." Sandy swelled. "I don't even remember the first line."

"You mean the one you invented?" Neil asked.

"Hey I didn't create them." Sandy bellows. "Role play also needs script you know."

"Which is what we call invention." Neil said again.

"You know what?" Sandy looked at him.

"What?." Neil asked.

"Let's forget the invention of a thing." Sandy said. "One thing bothering me right now is why are we doing this in the first place.?"

Silence

"Now that you just mentioned that." Neil rubbed his jaws. "I myself haven't had that thought for a while."

"It has been bugging me since the very beginning." Sandy whispered. "And I can't wait to get this band of my wrist."

"Me too." Neil sighed.

"Well.... It's just a day left." Sandy managed a smile.

"Huh." Neil looked at Sandy.

Seeing Sandy smile over the entire issue at hand made him felt at ease.

"Sure.... Let's get going." Neil taps his shoulder. "They are waiting for us."

.

.

.

"Okay guys this is it." Neil telepaths to his class mates.

Every one of them stood at a long distance from each other, they've all been given different task for the day. Neil looked at everyone of them as they all nodded at him then they were all set to perform then, Neil had already connected his team mates together with telepathy so they can communicate easily... Miss Wade, Prof. Hiro and Elder Chung sat at the top of the gym to watch the kids perform their training.

"Begin." Prof. Hiro's voice rang out of the speaker.

Delia made a little ice-spears and held it in the air to aim at her dart board, her arm was quivering almost for everyone to see but her blank expression was the the only thing that wasn't changed. Neil looked at a lamp in front of him and tried to switch it's position with a knife on another table, although he was acting because that wouldn't be a problem for him. Sandy on the other hand held his right arm with the left and was shaking viciously, almost choking out of breath trying to use effort to make.... To make.... A little fire.

"Damn..." Sandy thought. "This is insane.... Am tired."

"Keep your focus mate." Neil warned with telepathy. "We're being watched."

Prof. Hiro watched the kids as they go on with their activities that he had made them do for a week now, he felt sorry for them for they are trying their best to do what they are being ordered to do.... Pretend.

Miss Wade folds her arms below her breast and began to tap her elbow... Nervous that something would go wrong.

"They are over doing it." She thought.

"You guys are doing well.." Neil looked at his teammates and nodded.

"Keep up the work and don't lose focus." Lyn begged.

"Easily said." Ned complained.

"Ughhhh..... I have had enough." Freda grumbled in her head.

"Keep it cool Freda... Don't freak out." Zoe pleaded.

"And for how long are we going to pretend that we are the weaklings in this academy." She continued punching a bag.

"There's a reason." Rory added.

"Well... To hell with those reasons." Freda yelled in her head.

Just in the moment Freda got angry at the idea of all this pretense of a thing, she punched a bag hard and her arms went in deep. Some pebbles flew in the air and hit Jade on her head, thrusting her arms to play her violin which sent a wave towards Delia's ice-spears which she has thrown and it was diverted towards Sandy's blind spot.

"Sandy watch out." Clint yelled.

Before Sandy could turn around to see what is heading towards him, another lamp flew in front of him and he closed his eyes. There was an explosion and dust was everywhere although Sandy couldn't see but he heard piercing sounds but he never felt any pain, he opened his eyes and saw someone was standing in front of him arms spread.
