"Am only doing my job you know." Dr Midori chuckled.
"By seducing my student..." Miss Wade smiled.
"Well he's cute to begin with." Dr. Midori smiled back.
Miss Wade walked towards Neil's bed and sat close to him, Dr Midori stood up and grabbed her file. Neil stretched, tried to lift himself to sit but couldn't because of the pain.
"It's not advisable to do that boy." Miss Wade smiled, She placed a finger on Neil's chest and shoved him back to bed...
"Miss Wade.... I....." Neil babbles.
"Shhhhhhhhh..... Everything is okay so don't worry." Miss Wade smiled.
"Is it me..... Or is she about to cry." Neil thought
"Am just glad you kids came back safe." She added.
"What could I say.... We only got lucky." Neil blunted. "Besides nothing is more terrifying than your punishment you know."
Miss Wade laughed to the point she had to wipe the tears of her eyes... Guess she did really care about her students a lot.
Dr. Midori came with a tray.... Neil thought it was food for he hadn't eaten for a while now and just realized he's starving. His stomach grumbled loudly that made both ladies laugh, making him blush sheepishly. But his expression changed when he found.....
"Syringes." He gawked. "What am I needing syringes for....? I thought it was food."
"Sorry dear..." Dr. Midori smiled. "But you need this medications first before eating."
"This is definitely not good." Neil thought and swallowed heavily.
If there is one he hates most am his life was... Syringes.... They have painful stinging categories that would make a man cry... He had always had his way of escaping syringes and that is asking for drugs... Guess he has to do it now.
"Are you sure about the syringes?" Neil asked. "What about drugs."
"That are not recommended for you.... You need to take this first to quicken your healing." Dr Midori took a syringe take a glance at it's sharp end. Guess the universe has a way of punishing him by allowing light effects happen.... Making the syringes glint in the light and making the doctors suddenly have dark faces that it would be hard for one to see. Actually except the eyes and the deadly grins on their faces Of course.
"Oh God..... Please let it not be my ass." Neil gawked.
"Don't move..." Dr Midori said. "This won't hurt."
Well... The melodious and deafening echoes of the scream rang through the hallways.... Guess you all know what happened.
.
.
.
.
"Ouch..... That kinda hurt." Neil complained. "My ass is on fire right now."
He rubbed his ass as he walked slowly towards his class... He wondered how it had been going with his comrades, because he was told they were discharged earlier... Seems they healed faster than he has. And he on the hand has had series of syringe Food for a week now. So not fair, but at least he is okay now.
Smile crept his face at the thought of all that had happened in few days after resumption.
It was scary though.... But it was fun, all of it. Ned's grammar issue, Clint's love for flowers and laziness, Kai's fear, Sandy's stubbornness. They did well even without training or precautions and that seem to make him feel proud.
But his issues with that sugar level problem... He remembered Dr. Midori advising him to eat more than his usual routine. But he barely eat at all, eating now will be a problem for him because if he continues without enough foods to eat. He might fall to his dire and that would be bad for business... Guess he has to generate a new habit then....
"Uncleeeeeeeeeeee." Chiyo hopped in the air as Neil opened the door. Giving him a nice passionate squeezing that he felt a bone snap.
"Ch.... Ch... Chiyo....." Neil gawked
"Okay that's enough Chiyo." Zoe approached Chiyo with a grin. "Or you will break him to pieces."
"Oh." Chiyo moaned.
"Nice to see you too.." Neil managed a smile. "And I missed you too."
"Really...?" Chiyo yelled.
"Yeah.. You were the reason I managed to stay alive." Neil smiled, this time for real.
"She missed you more." Zoe chuckled.
Neil smiled.
"Hey....." Sandy yelled. "You've finally returned from the dead."
"He was only unconscious." Ned adjusts his specks. "Dead people don't come back to life."
"Hey dumb fellow.. I know that dead people don't come back to life." Sandy spoke with dark auras around him. "So don't interrupt me again."
Silence
"Okay." Ned shrugged and began to whistle.
"Jerk..." Sandy rolled his eyes.
Neil looked around to see the smile in everyone's face, it seems that they were all worried that they won't return from the assignment given to them. But they did with the help of Delia... By the way she was no where to be found for he had surveyed the entire class but couldn't see her.
Maybe she has gone to a destination that no one knows of... But he knows that she will come around some other time.
"Have you been listening?" Sandy yelled.
"Huh..." Neil looked at Sandy, question gesture on his face.
"You....." Sandy grumbled.
He walked close to Neil like a zombie, all covered in dark auras as he sway his body from left to right with his feet barely lifted off the ground.
Finally he arrived and placed a hand on Neil's shoulder, bringing his mouth close to Neil's ear as if he was about to bite it all off
"I finally have something I am better than you at." He yelled, with smile on his face.
"And what is that?" Neil asked anxiously.
"I heal faster than you." Sandy screamed with joy. "So I beat you."
"Seriously....." everyone groaned.
"What." Sandy asked.
"Healing fast is not a competition you moron." Ned added
"Hey...." Sandy yelled. "I wasn't talking to you... Dumb fellow."
"Actually am the smartest in this class." Ned adjust his specks. "And everyone knows that."
"Saying words everyone can't understand..." Sandy laughed. "That's dumb to me."
The laugh continues without stoppage like it a that of mockery.
"Are you finished?" Ned asked
"Ohh.." The class chorused.
"Huh." Sandy shot a questioning eyes at Ned
"Well it seems your medulla oblongata has issues." Ned finished. "Because you have been laughing for ten seconds... Guess you didn't notice that the class never joined you in the laugh."
"Neil laughed." Sandy barked. "Didn't you bro."
Neil shock his head in disagreement.
"Seriously." Sandy asked frustrated.
SCREEE.....
Everyone turned to see Delia standing by the door with her arms folded. She stared for a while before going off to her seat, Neil looked at her as she blew past him... It was like nature was always against Neil for breeze from an unknown destination blew her hair into his face. He felt the chills on his face like she just came out of shower and her hair had a savour of mentor shampoo.
"Guess that might be her favorite shampoo." Neil thought. "Or maybe worse... Ice shampoo."
"Hey Neil.... Come here for a sec.." Zoe grabbed Neil by the arm, bringing him back to reality. "Tell me about the saga."
She pressed her breast to his arms and Neil went blood red that instant, it was like he was in heaven with a nice angel playing melodious tunes for him.
"Soft.... So soft..... So soft..." Those were the only words running in Neil's mind and he felt like he has drifted away to the shinning milk bath and....
"Umm... Uncle." Chiyo called out. "For how long are you going to keep that smile?"
"Huh..." Neil gawked. "No.... No... Nothing of course."
"Are you sure?." Ned asked. "Or is it that your...."
The rest part Of the sentence was a muffle because Sandy closed his mouth
"Not... A... Word." Sandy groaned. "Because the next word out of you would be a grammar that will send mankind to their end.... Would you want that?.... Because am tired and sick of those grammars of yours that they wanna make me puck.... My head is not a dictionary to decipher every grammar that you pronounce... And when I try to decipher one... Bam.... Another comes forth and its driving me nuts."
"Hmm.... Sandy..." Clint called out, grabbing Sandy's arm in the process.
"What?" Sandy barked.
Clint nodded towards Ned and Sandy followed the direction and saw that Ned was out of breath... Almost choked.... Guess he didn't observe when he was wriggling his fingers in the air.
He let go.
Ned fell down and coughed, gasped, coughed again, then gasped.... Again. He continued this ritual for few seconds before lifting his gaze at Sandy.
"You almost choked the air out of me..." Ned yelled after finding his voice. "Are you crazy?"
"Eh...eh...eh...eh....Sorry....." Sandy chuckled while he rubbed his head on his head.
"I am going to knock out the aero of your oesophagus...." Ned yelled as he charged towards Sandy.
"Huh.." Sandy gawked
Cough.... Cough.
SCREEEEEEE.....
"Pardon." Miss Wade spoke gently. "May I have your attention."
Silence.
"Good.... First thing first." Miss Wade walks to her desk. "Everyone off to your seats... Now."
As if under a trance or a command, everyone moved mindlessly to their various chairs and sat down. Miss Wade smiled after the commotion had died down.
"Ok." She sighed. "I have a good news and a bad news."
Silence
"Which do you wanna hear first?" She added
"Good." And "Bad." Rang in the atmosphere... She lifted her arms and the class fell under silence.
"Those for the 'yes'. hands up." She smiled
Sevens hands lifted up.
"And those for the 'no'." She smiled
The rest class had their hands up.
"Then the " no's " has it." She giggled.
Suddenly her face fell to normal and her mood too. She wasn't happy and the students can tell.
"The principal found out what we did.... And he's not happy with us."
The class moaned
"Then what's the good news?" Lyn asked. "Ma'am."
There was smile on her face.
"The principal has decided to punish the student's in this class...." She grinned. "That you all will work at the national museum park as punishment..."
Silence....
"WHAAAAAAAAAT." The class chorused.
