Agent Carlos Jaxon, or Jax for short sat in the most annoying and boring meeting he had ever attended.
His commanding officer, Kertz was pestering them about war strategies and how they were losing.
"Sir, with all due respect," one of the other agents said. "We have our best soldiers on the lookout for any Allies who cross into Germany."
"Yes Becker, I am aware but it's not enough." Kertz pointed a finger at the board. "They've started to move into position to take Berlin."
Jax couldn't take it anymore. "Sir, my friend who is like a sister to me is fighting for us, if we back out now we could lose her, and everyone that has pushed everything away for us."
Kertz stopped.
Jax braced for another lecture, but Kertz waved his hand.
"That's it?" Jax's friend agent Lukas Rodriguez asked.
"Yep, off with you all." Kertz said.
"Hey, Lukas!" Jax called from across the table.
"Oh, hey man." Lukas said calmly.
"How's your family?"
Lukas sighed "still in that concentration camp."
"Can't believe you made it this far and you were captured during a battle."
"Says the guy who was part of a batch of super soldiers-" Lukas laughed
"Hey man, we were just highly trained, not injected with some kind of potion," Jax said "Dinner, my place?"
"Gladly." Lukas walked off.
"Jaxson, a word if I may?" Kertz asked.
"Yes sir?" Jax said.
Officer Kertz passed a piece of paper from his desk and handed it to Jax. "Hitler wants you at the front lines with your, so called sister."
Jax gasped. This is what he had been hoping for, a chance to show off his skills. Follow Silvia on her missions that she would ideally write about.
"Jax!" Lukas called. "Let's go."
Jax left Kertz and walked off with Lukas.
