Aria Walker, or as most of you know her Silvia McCoy sat next to a stream of water. She decided to go back to her original name to honor Kelvin. She had no food and was on the run from German soldiers.
Her gun was out of ammo, so she buried it. She did keep Kelvin's Klockpit however. All she had was a handful of throwing knives, a leather jacket with the Nazi symbol on it that wouldn't help her chances of surviving, Kelvin's Klockpit and a Hattori. She had no way of finding Germany. She had been hunting down animals for years. She decided to keep moving down the river. She hoped that she would find people who could help her. After another four hours, she found a small House. Aria walked into the wooden house with her Hattori raised. She kicked down the door.
"Please, don't hurt us." Somebody cried.
Aria put her sword back in the sheath. "Hello?"
A young girl, about six years old peeked out from behind a table.
An older woman, who looked at least forty also peeked out from behind a desk. "Who are you?"
Aria smiled sweetly at them. "I'm Silvia, I mean Aria Walker."
"Aria, as in the Misted one?" The young girl asked.
"I beg your pardon?" Aria asked.
"My husband will be back, he used to work for the Allies."
Aria locked eyes with the Woman. "I'm not with the Nazi's, not anymore."
"You're a wanted woman," The woman said, "We would be killed if you were found here."
"I just need a place to stay for the night," Aria said. "Please."
The woman sighed. "One night, that's it."
Aria thanked the woman.
"Um, you can come out now."
First, the young girl. She had scarlet hair and was really cute. Her cheeks were pink, and her red dress made her look like a young servant girl.
Her mother had greying red hair and wore a brown dress. She looked tired and scared.
"sorry for being rude, we just can't trust anyone anymore." The woman smiled.
"What exactly happened?" Aria asked, "I've been away from civilization for the past seven years."
The woman's smile faded. "Well, Hitler has taken all of Europe and the south side of north and south America."
"and the allies?" Aria asked.
"retreated to the far west of north America, they just left us."
Aria stuck her hand out for a handshake, "I'll defend your family for as long as I'm here."
"Thank you." The woman smiled in return "I'm Karyn Smith, and this is my daughter Gia."
Gia ran up to Aria and hugged her. "Thank you."
Aria kneeled down and gave her a throwing knife, "be careful with that."
Gia gave it to Karyn. "Can I take Ms. Aria upstairs?"
"Go ahead honey." Karyn said. "Aria, leave your gear down here, and is it ok if she calls you auntie?"
"Sure, we used to do that in Japan." Aria laughed. Aria set down her sword and throwing knives in a chest with a camo suit and a helmet.
"I can try to take of that Nazi symbol on your jacket." Karyn said as Gia pulled Aria up the stairs.
"Sure!" Aria asked Gia to let go and gave Karyn the jacket.
"Gia, play nice with Auntie Aria." Karyn called.
"I will." Gia yelled.
The upstairs was filled with wooden toys, clothes and a bed.
"Come here!" Gia yelled.
Aria walked over the toys on the ground. "what is it?"
Gia pulled out a small jar, "father brought these home for me."
Aria took the small jar from Gia's outstretched arm. "Bullets?"
"they took them out from his leg." Gia smiled.
Aria realized how much damage she and the Nazis caused.
"Listen Gia, you may not understand but I'm sorry about everything I've done to you and your family." Aria said.
Gia nodded and went back to looking in her dresser. "Ooh, and this!" She handed Aria a rolled-up poster. "It's your wanted poster."
Aria saw her face on this poster.
The poster read: Wanted for Treason, if you see this woman tell your local authorities.
"Father is proud of you for betraying the Nazis and said to help you if you ever came this way." Gia smiled.
"Here." Aria handed Gia the bullets and poster.
"Keep the bullets." Gia smiled. "Please."
Aria put them to the side.
The door downstairs opened, "I'm home!"
Gia grabbed Aria's arm and dragged her downstairs.
"Daddy, look who we found!" Gia yelled
Aria and Gia's father locked eyes for a second.
Gia's father was a balding man, he was tall and wore a hunter's suit. He held a rifle in one hand and a deer in the other.
"Um, hi?" Aria waved.
Gia's father raised his gun at Aria. "Gia, get away from her."
"Daddy, she's here to help us."
Karyn walked into the room. "Winston, leave her alone."
Winston lowered his rifle. "you know how many times I've escaped from her?"
"I'm really sorry about that sir." Aria said apologetically.
"you killed my best friend." Winston snapped.
"And I regret everything I've done." Aria sighed.
"You will regret it after I kill you."
Aria had to think of something fast. "I was brainwashed when I was ten, the only life I ever had was gone after my best friend tried to kill me, my brother was killed when I should have paid for my crimes. I then realized that me, my best friend and the others who were kidnapped were mindless zombies for Hitler."
Winston dropped his gun on the floor. "you were forced to kill?"
"Not forced, but if we didn't listen, we were tortured." Aria showed Winston her arm. "All the cuts and bruises are from my commanding officer, Kertz."
"I'm sorry." Winston said.
"there seems to be a lot of that going around," Karyn laughed. "Now can we eat?"
The four of them sat on the dinner table. They talked about the war and what it was like to be brainwashed. It was the best conversation that Aria had ever had.
She ended up sleeping with Gia upstairs. She lay awake on the mattress she was given. It was nice to sleep on a soft surface. She had promised to help Winston get breakfast in the morning because of her "mad hunting skills" as Winston put it. She fell asleep peacefully.
