Chapter 20 - Mayham-2

[Author]: Sorry, the previous chapter was so short. I wanted to do a scheduled release and accidentally published the chapter before finishing it.

[Reader]: Understandable I guess...

The teen was wide-eyed as he stared at the dazed crowd.

'FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Their eyes?! Why does it look like the eyes of the followers of Chaos?! This is baaaaddddd!!! THIS IS SO FUCKING BAD!!!'

* * *

[Reader]: Why is it so bad?

[BOB.C]: You don't understand, I might have been the most powerful god but there were still other gods like the accidental god etc, one of the other gods was the Chaos god. You seriously don't have any idea how much of a nuisance that guy was. By no means was he on the level of the Accidental god but he still posed a great threat, mostly because he was born from the malice that lurks within the hearts of every living creature.

[Reader]: So basically another slightly less powerful version of the Accidental god?

[BOB.C]. An oversimplification but yes. Dude that mfkr is a nightmare! Where ever he is chaos is. His agents are tasked with sowing chaos, distress, and mania. Granted I can easily defeat him that was in the olden days, the days when I was at full power. But now that I have been reduced to such a state, who knows the catastrophes this universe may encounter?

[Reader]: Hey isn't the God system in charge now? I don't think you need to worry about the safety of the universe with that guy around. As you said, the God system is one who likes the taste of power and would like to remain as a ruling party for eternity. From that, one can deduce that any form of opposition to his rule will be met with immediate punishment.

[BOB.C]: Your making a whole lotta sense for a measly human...

[Reader]: Don't forget, you too are human now.

The wide-eyed teen slowly reclaimed his composure and keenly observed the dazed crowd.

"I think we should leave", said one of the guards, everyone agreed. No one knew what would happen next and they weren't the least bit interested in finding out. The grandfather also agreed to the tactical retreat as he too stood up leading the way forward. The group slowly left the room to which they were met with a few people surrounding a feminine lady.

'Could it be that wench that went against me in the earlier bid???'

The teen couldn't help but examine the woman from head to toe. She was draped in ancient white Greek attire, the robe/dress had flowing features that seemed to hug her body yet seemed to be baggy. It was an odd but nevertheless alluring style.

But compared to the woman's features, the dress/robe was merely a side piece; a complimentary. The woman sensing the teen's gaze looked at him with interest before letting out a sweet smile, she continued on her merry way leaving the teen with a dry look.

'It really was her!!!!'

The teen was just about to say something when he suddenly had an eerie feeling. It was as if a giant eyeball was staring at him from the back. It felt suffocating and sent chills down his back, causing cold sweats to appear all over his body. He slowly turned around to find a purple-eyed man staring at him in a daze. He seemed to be completely entranced if not for the creeping smile plastered on his face. It felt disturbing looking at him.

The teen couldn't even move under the intense gaze of the man, it was as if he had encountered some eldrich god whose mere presence peeled away at his sanity. Yuno noticing the teen's frozen body quickly jerked him back to clarity.

"Are you okay? Why aren't you moving?" she asked in concern. The teen was just about to answer but was left dumbfounded as the man had disappeared into thin air.

"Eh, it's- it's nothing, just thought I heard something. Let's get going."

Even though the teen said this in a calm voice, his visage betrayed him. Sweat could be seen around his face and neck and his eyes had reddened. Without wasting any more time, the group hastily departed. This had raised a few eyebrows within the group as they had expected to be faced with some resistance.

"What a weird day..." said Astrid with a bewildered look on her face. As the daughter of the city lord, this was the most danger she has ever been in. This feeling, she liked it. She felt a rush of emotions as her body became heated and restless.

'I should get into trouble like this more often...'

[Reader]: Damn it hasn't even been a full 12 hrs and you've already become a bad influence on this poor girl...

[BOB.C]: Hey, hey, hey, this isn't my fault. This concerns her and only her. It wasn't my fault the auction was attacked.
