Neit stormed into her office after school and sat down next to her parents.
"Neit sweety why are you upset?" Mrs. Liner asked while gently laying a hand over her child's shoulder. Neit relaxed at the warm touch and her frown disappeared.
"She said she wanted to go to school! How can she talk to me like that?!" Neit whined.
"Honey please!" Mrs. Liner touched Neit's cheek.
"Please Tell me you didn't hurt her?" She asked. Neit signed.
"I- I'm sorry mom. I - I did hurt her..... twice..... or more."the answer came out in the speed of light since Neit never lied to her parents. Mrs. Liner signed in disappointment.
"Why did you do that Neit? How could you do that?" She questioned which in return confused Neit. They were supposed to reject Tracy not talk for her.
"Mom I still don't understand why you guys are supporting her. I mean.... she bullied me and hurt me and then got fucked up-.." Neit stopped. She looked at her parents who looked a little bit offended from the swear word.
"Neit." Her father spoke up for the first time during the conversation.
"We are completely aware of what she did to you and we know that it's not fair for you. But ..... look at her. She doesn't have anybody and she's literally left alone." He explained.
"If you hurt her just because she used to hurt you then what is the difference between you two? We have raised you by giving every single thing you want. We raised you with love and care and we need you to give her a chance. That's what a good person would do." He smiled warmly at the sight of her grown up daughter who would take the place of his company some time.
"But she's bad. She's the bad person." Neit mumbled.
"But are you the bad person too?" Mrs. Liner asked which earned a slight nod from her husband.
Neit would look tall and demanding but in front of her parents she's still the baby giant who loves to cuddle with them. Even though she acted rash and heartless towards Tracy, she couldn't help but wonder why she did that? She wanted to hug her and give her the love and care a pregnant mother needs but all those memories of her times writhing in pain brings in new waves of anger she couldn't control.
It's so pleasing to see Tracy so weak and fragile like all her life depended on Neit.
"Neit my baby." Mrs. Liner smiled at her.
"You are not a bad person. You are the most loving and caring person someone could ever have. Keep that in mind and always remember that Tracy has a long journey ahead of her and she may need your help. Promise me that you would ease her pain if needed." She said.
Neit signed and thought for a while. The images of Tracy early in the morning , cooking for her with an oversized T-shirt and little shirts with her smooth petite legs dangling down made her gulp hard for some reason she didn't know. The way Tracy wound tremble and cry and breath under her strong grip also made her throat dry. Considering these things, she wanted one thing.
An answer.
"I .... promise mom." She finally answered making her parents smile warmly at her.
."We know that you are the best for her. I think she knows it too" Mr. liner said and hugged her wife and daughter tightly.
Neit slowly opened the door and peaked in. Nobody was there. She closed the door and walked in and saw that the house was clean and neatly arranged. It made her smile for awhile and breath in the sweet scent of fresh strawberries and roses.
Suddenly she heard a sniffle.
She stopped in her tracks and focused.
There was another sniffle.
She slowly advanced towards Tracy's room. The little sniffles turned into broken sobs.
The door was slightly pushed open which enabled her to look inside. And at that moment her mind and thoughts went blank. Like someone was tugging at her heart. She couldn't think of anything. Her head was filled with nothing. She could only blink hard because of the stinging sensation that came after staring for so long.
Tracy was curled up on her bed. She was hugging her legs and her body was visibly shaking. The rim of her T-shirt was drenched wet. Where those tears?
Neit gulped slowly. She kept on staring at the little human bean who was curled up in a baby like position.
Her eyes were puffed and her cheeks were red and dampened out. Her lips were swollen and wet. She was sobbing silently. Her eyes closed and her body shaking violently. Her voice kept on breaking. Sometimes she whimpered. Sometimes she whined.she was crying to the extent where she was hiccuping for air.
Why is she crying? Is it because of me? How can I help her? Was it really because of me? Is the baby crying too?
Neit gasped a little. Damn she was a bitch wasn't she. She felt so fucking bad.
"I'm sorry...." Neit looked back at the girl who was still sobbing. She was sure she heard something.
"I'm ... sorry Neit." Tracy whispered.
She lost it.
Neit lost it.
She lost her control and her senses.
Tracy was in the middle of crying her soul out when the door banged open.
