"Why did I wake up on you? What happened yesterday?", Adira questioned. "I made you the overalls, complimented you, we were talking about something, then it lead to us watching a movie. You fell asleep first. I didn't know you were asleep. Once I did know you were sleeping, I just drifted off. I couldn't get up because you were laying on me, so...", Jasper claimed.
Adira stared at him. "I-I'm sorry.". She started to walk away. "For what? Adira!", Jasper shouted then went after her. She stopped walking. "I-...I did this for Axel when I slept with him the next morning and...I...I just thought it would be awkward. Now this is. I loved him.", she sighed.
"So...does that mean you always run out on people you love?", Jasper remarked. He leaned in for a kiss. Adira put her index finger on his lips saying, "Wait. I-I can't...I'm sorry.". She continued to walk away.
She went upstairs and knocked on Axel's door. When he answered, he didn't even get to speak, she just kissed him and started silently crying. Axel put his fingers through her hair. Adira backed away. "What's wrong?", he asked.
"I missed you.", she whispered. "I-I missed you, too.", he whispered back then kissed her again.
Downstairs:
Charlotte walked into the mansion with Oliver. Everyone slowed walked over. "So?", Clay murmured. Charlotte shook her head and started to cry. Oliver walked her upstairs as the others looked down and dispersed.
In the kitchen:
"It's gone. My child is gone.", Darby whimpered. Esma hugged him. "It's going to be ok. Trust me.", she reassured. "I'll be the one to give you a baby, this time.", she whispered in his ear.
--------------------------------------------------------
Tuesday. Monday went by quick...a little too quick. Everyone was just lazy and upset that day.
Clay laughed as Darby sat across from him at his desk. "You really...you really think that I believe Cordelia?! She can't be serious!", Clay dramatically wheezed.
"Sadly, she's being serious, Master.", Darby mumbled. "No! No the hell she isn't! If you really think...ha! I can't stop laughing! She wants to stay here permanently until her husband takes her back?! Ha!", Clay giggled. Darby crossed his arms. "She's outside, waiting for you, Master.". He stopped laughing then looked out of the window.
"Shit.".
At the front door:
Cordelia slammed on the door. Clay answered and sighed. "Come in".
Later into the day:
Charlotte knocked on Blade's bedroom door. He opened it. "Ms. Everest? May I help you?". He had a book in his hand, wearing a pair of glasses, a white shirt with rolled sleeves, a black tie, and black vest.
"What are you all dressed up for?", she asked. "Nothing. I just thought it was the way this mansion works. And I am so terribly sorry for your baby. Uh-here. Take these. I don't need them.", Blade said then gave her a bouquet of flowers that was on his dresser.
"Thank you, tha-that's really sweet. You didn't have to.", she thanked. "Can I maybe talk to you for a second? In private?". Blade nodded. Charlotte came inside, shutting the door behind her, making sure to lock it.
They both sat down on his bed. "Jax. How is he? Where is he?", she questioned. Blade smirked. "He's still living with our mom-",
"Oh! How's Sasha?! I totally forgot about her, oh my gosh!", Charlotte panicked. Blade sharply exhaled. "She's doing great. Living her best life. All day, she's been focusing on meditation and some type of hippie-shit. I don't know. But yeah, Jax is doing ok. I don't really know. I don't keep in contact with him. The last time I seen him, he was fighting over some fast food with my mom.".
"I miss them so much...oh they were my everything at one time. They took me in like they were my actual family.", Charlotte sighed. Blade put his hand on hers then leaned in. "Hey. Don't get caught up on your past. And especially him. Oliver would be mad if he found out you were still hung on him. Oliver would be even more mad if he found out you were in here with me especially with the door locked....by the way, why did you lock the door...?", Blade asked.
Charlotte looked down. "I-I don't...I don't know. I guess I'm just insecure someone will burst in when we're talking? I'm not too sure...", she responded.
Blade grabbed her arm. "Don't worry, Charlotte. If anyone bursts in, I'll put out one of my knives and threaten them to get the fuck out! I'll protect you.", he snickered. She grinned then jokingly punched him on the arm.
"Random-but-how do you stand being an assassin? I mean-how do you just...stand being the best assassin?". "Well...I've trained for too many years. If they're vulnerable enough, seduction is key, I guess. Then again, you look pretty vulnerable.", he muttered to himself.
"Hm? What'd you say at the end there?". "N-nothing. I was just talking to myself.", Blade stalled. "You dummy, I heard you! What do you mean by-I look vulnerable? What-are you going to try to seduce me?! Because if you are, you've already got the outfit, I mean...", Charlotte mumbled.
"Hey! No! You're engaged and don't seem to realize that. And you have a son! I...I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought up childr-",
Charlotte pulled him over by his tie. "Hmm. That's right. It seems as if I am engaged. That means I shouldn't be talking to a guy like you with the door locked.", she remarked then left the room.
Blade sat there with a blank but shocked expression smacked on his face. "Well shit.".
Living room:
"No. I swear. I bet you three trillion dollars I don't know.", Tobias said. Cordelia crossed her arms. "Sure. Just tell me, kid! What did Blade tell Charlotte?!", she whined.
"Stop trying, already! You're just going to keep getting the same exact answer! And why don't you just ask him?! All I did was walk past his room, woman! Plus, you don't own me!", Tobias scoffed.
Cordelia paused. "Don't question my ways! You ask your mother what they were talking about and get an answer out of her and I get you a date with Emma, from my mansion.", she offered.
Tobias grinned and shook her hand. "You've got yourself a deal.".
