As I got closer to where the roar originated I began to see the obvious signs of battle. There were trees that had been turned over and others had deep slashes in its trunk. As I approached a clearing I saw what had caused all the destruction, it was a gigantic black bear and it was locked in combat with three humans. The three people who were fighting the bear over all seemed weak compared to the bear but they were managing to beat it with their extraordinary team work.
Before rushing in the help I used my inspect ability on the bear. [Black Ursarang : E rank : health (16/200) : 100exp : material (teeth)]. The inspect function was quiet useful, it told me the health of the creature and how much experience I would gain from killing the creature and coincidentally it was exactly how much I needed to level up.
While the bear was distracted I began launching stone at him with the same amount of power I had used earlier against the Alder tree and the stones tore through the bears now weakened defence. After 6 successful hits, the bear was no longer able to help himself and fell to the onslaught of stones. [level up : stats increased : 2 points added].
"Who goes there" yelled one of the men as they turned their sword towards the direction which the stones came from.
"I mean no harm, just passing by and wanted to help" I shouted as threw my hood up and walked from behind the tree with my hands up. The trio then began thanking my for my assistance and as they were, I used inspect on them.
[Russell : scout : lvl 8 : health (64/100) : 60exp]
[Kyle : Knight : lvl 9 : health (53/120) : 60exp] [Carem : mage : lvl 12 : health (75/75) : 80exp].
I almost tripped as I read the amount of exp they would have given me for beating them, even though they were many times weaker that the Ursarang they gave alot of expirence in comparison. That was not the only surprising thing, these guys were level 8+ but I could tell that they were weaker than I was. All together they were definitely stronger than me under the right circumstances but one on one I could smoke them even without a weapon.
"Traveler, what is your name" asked Kyle as he ushered me over.
"My name is Shawn, and I am glad I could be of assistance" I said as got closer to them.
They all individually thanked me for my assistance, the only thing odd was Carem who was eyeing me suspiciously. They were kind enough to offer to accompany me to Danafall but I refused and told them I still had some business in the forest. They quickly departed and I went back to the Ursa's body to figure our what exactly I could make with the bear.
Now that I was actually up close to the bear I could actually appreciate how large it was. The bear was atleast 9ft when standing upright and its muscles were gigantic giving it the power to tear through flesh and bone with ease. When I first inspected the bear it told be it's teeth could be used in crafting something.
Looking at the dead bear brought back memories of one of the survival camps I did back in the army, showing us how to hunt and skin animals as well as how to put the entire body to good use. It seem the camp was well worth it because even after death, I could still use the knowledge.
I sharpened a piece of stone and used it to cut the fur of the bear and after about 30 minutes I had harvested every part of the creature including its beautiful white teeth, they were ingredients for razor bullets.
[Razor bullets : 100% chance to cause bleeding : 0.5% health/minute : 1 damage]. The bear was quite generous, it had not only given me a level but it also gave me bullets plus food as well.
As I began walking towards the direction of the town I heard a slight movement behind me. I had known they were watching me the whole time, with my new heightened senses plus my instincts I knew I was being followed but it's not just my skills that tipped me off, it's that these three were just not good a trailing whatsoever, I doubt that they could sneak up on a deaf horse.
After leading them in circles for an hour, I began getting bored once again and just decided to stand there out in the open and wait for them to confront me.
"What is he doing, now. Do you think he knows we are following him" asked Kyle as he crouched lower behind a bush.
"Most likely, he has been leading us in circles for I while now, so either he is playing with us or he is unbelievably lost. And I feel like that last one is very unlikely" whispered Russell as he gripped his dagger tighter.
"I'm telling you guys, he knows we are here and like I said he is not human. His mana fluctuation is way to wild and dense almost like it is too much for him to control and the last time I saw mana like that was when a beast attacked my village. Let's just go at him together and find out the truth" whispered Carem and he stared intensely at Shawn.
The three circled around Shawn and approached him with weapons in hand. "Remove, your hood and tell us who you really are" ordered Carem as he created a fireball in his palm to intimidate Shawn.
"Listen, guys I don't want any trouble. Just leave me alone and get lost and maybe I will forget about this" I replied as I raised my hand in the air.
"Are you threatening us, you do realize you are out numbered right" shouted Kyle as he inched closer and pulled the hood off my head.
As he did that I grabbed him by the arm and threw him over my shoulder and slammed him into the ground knocking him out causing his sword to be thrown of to the side, the impact was so great that I formed a small indent in the ground.
"What the hell, are you insane. Do you know what it means for a disgusting demi-human to attack a human. When the knights find out you will be hunted down, you and your dirty elven family and burned at the stake" shouted Russell as he saw his friend get attacked by Shawn.
As soon as I heard his words I momentarily lost control but I quickly regained my composure and smiled, "well in that case then I guess I can't allow a single one of you to leave hear alive" I said as an almost wicked smile spread across my face.
Carem then begun to shoot at Shawn with the fireballs, almost as if he had forgotten that Kyle way laying behind me. I easily maneuvered out of the path of the attacks and quickly incapacitated them both before ending thier lives and collecting my experience [200 exp].
These guys were actually much weaker than I initially thought, I would have been able to take them bare handed back when I was still a human. I then opened up my inventory to see what my level up had given me.

I decide to throw one point into each one of my crafting skills and I threw the last point into accuracy bringing them all to lvl 1 giving me the ability to use them now, except for accuracy which went to lvl 2. After I finished messing with my status, I went ahead and collected all the items that the three had just dropped and it was quite a good haul. I had gotten:
Weak Iron broadsword : transmutable
dual daggers : transmutable
7 fire scrolls : transmutable
Cloths : transmutable
Its seems like because of my unique class I am unable to use any of these items, so I had a transmute function with would turn them into materials I could use. After using the transmute function on all the items I was given: from the broad sword and assortment of aluminum and steel.
From the daggers I got Cro-Van stainless steel. From the fire scrolls I got a good amount of ignition powder and from the cloths I got some plastic components. As soon as I got all the materials, a blueprint just appeared in my mind. Even though I had never built guns before, I knew everything I needed to know about what I was about to make.
First I made a military grade combat knife and as soon as I did I felt so much better, it was a weapon I had much experience with. The Ka-Bar, it has a 8″ long and 0.165″ thick flat point blade. The core component was CV Stainless Steel. This type of sturdy steel is produced with the combination of Vanadium and Chromium intertwined with steel.
The Vanadium provides razor sharpness and the Chromium increases strength. The partially serrated blade has a black coating that reflected no light making it invisible at night. And then came the guns, I had the materials to build two dual spring loaded repeater pistols and they were magnificent.
This were the first weapon I had ever been given back when I was a soldier and it only felt right to make them my first gun here as well. The gun had decent range and could hold 9 in the clip plus one in the chamber and it was awesome, the only problem was because I used such inferior materials to make them they had quiet low durability, only being able to fire 16 bullets per gun before breaking.
That was a little bit of a let down but atleast the problem was easily solved, all I needed was better metals to increase the durability. And the bullet situation was actually quite good, from the Ursarang fangs I made 48 razor bullets and from the left overs metals I made enough clips to fit all the bullets even though the pistols would break before I was able to use all the bullets.
Before Shawn left the forest he searched out and killed 3 more Ursas giving him 300exp and enough teeth to craft 122 new razor bullets. I also decide to name the guns Jack and Jill and I named the blade Cro-Van, not in the army but in Shawn's hometown giving a gun a name was like baptizing them for killing.
