Holy Mary mother of God!
After looking over the skill description for my latest addition, I was astounded.
[Demonic Fury]
For 5 seconds increase strength, speed and health by 1000%. Extreme side effects.
Cooldown: 24 hours
Just as my eyes left the screen to move on to the next, fire began to burn in my veins. It felt as if a million gallons of lava replaced my blood as my very being began to crumble from the inside. Through the excruciating pain, I was able to quickly nab the core of the demon I killed and shove it inside my inventory before my body disappeared.
[You have died!]
[Died due to effects of your own skill]
[Hyper Evolution in effect! The skill effect will be less harmful to the owner]
Omg. OH MY FUCKING GOD. I'm op. I know Ive said this before and it seems a bit overused, but seriously come on. How is this fair. I can pretty much use this as many times as I want till the skill no longer harms me.
As the glee overcame me, I didn't even realise Singwoo staring directly at me as I awkwardly danced around the cave I respawned in. After a minute or two of shuffling about in my demon form, I finally calmed down. Looking at my surroundings I found Singwoo laughing at me. My face somehow went even more red as embarrassment consumed me.
"I don't know what you are laughing about, you died to that lowly imp! At least I beat him, and it was all because I am naturally strong" I said, all high and mighty.
"You are right master, I should not laugh. I am just amused and thankful for you avenging me. After my death I watched you kill that beast; you may not have been able to protect me, but that is not your job. Your job is to lead and grow stronger while I protect you from those who wish to bring you harm. So I apologise for not protecting you" Singwoo said.
His knee had reached the floor and his head was lowered so as to not meet my eyes.
My jaw hit the floor and my startled brain went into overdrive. This was the first time Singwoo truly spoke with me and I had to say something cool to assert my awesomeness
"Tha…If…don…how…your…your mum!" My brain ceased to function as my mouth stuttered and I was lost for words. Without anything to say I went into default mode and insulted his mother. Classic.
"You were the one that caused my creation so surely your are both my mother and father" Singwoo retaliated with a smile.
I turned my head so to not face him as the words " Fuck he's right" left my mouth. This new development of humour from him is a real game changer. Maybe I might finally have someone to talk to in this god forsaken place.
As I turn back to him my mouth starts to move.
"Okely dokely, first, wow you can speak! Second, shush so I can see what I have gotten from that fight"
After I finished, Singwoo instantly shut his mouth and didn't disturb me. The text boxes appeared and my face grew into one of delight.

Holy Moly, that's insane. Like actually I'm lost for words. I'm not really sure how to describe this feeling, it's like all the best things that have happened to me are worse than this. It sounds crazy, but this is awesome. From this base of operations or [Domain] as the system calls it, I will take over the entire first layer of this hellish place. I WILL BE KIIIIING!
Sorry for getting about unruly there, I'm just so happy. My body is trembling with glee as the demonic face I have has a massive smile plastered over the front of it.
Ok time to get serious, let's go through my options here. I could have a castle, walls, barracks, kitchen, treasury or armoury. The castle sounds nice but it's not very practical, think about it, I already live in a cave with a beautiful house in it. Also it's only me, my blood minions and Singwoo so the castle won't be great.
Honestly, only the barracks or walls seem viable to me. I don't need the kitchen because imps and demons can eat raw food without getting ill, I might need an armoury in the future, but right now it's kinda useless because imps don't really use weapons; I mean we have our claws for gods sake.
The treasury makes no sense seeing as I have a massive inventory, I mean maybe further down the line I might not be able to fit all my stuff in it but seriously? I don't need it now. The only viable options are the barracks and the walls. But even this is a hard choice, the barracks are housing for my imps and I live in a cave that I have a multitude of defences for, aaaaargh it's sooo hard.
I mainly played strategy games when I lived in the real world so I'm pretty good at making decisions about a base, but I don't know what's going to happen in the future so I don't know what to choose.
Ya know what, screw it.
Mentally, I picked the city walls. The ground started to rumble and shake, small rocks fell from the ceiling of my cave. I narrowly dodged a few as I rushed outside my cave, in front of my stood a massive 12 foot curved wall that was thick enough to fit 8 people side by side. It curved around the base of the mountain I was residing in. It was huuuge.
My mountain was almost 6,000 metres high and a part of a mountain range of taller skyscrapers of stone, and this wall curved almost 180 degrees around the side. It must have covered at least 1000 square kilometres, this is crazy. If the monsters didn't know I existed before, they definetly knew now.
My thoughts were confirmed by a monstrous roar that sounded out from within the walls. A massive lion like creature stared directly at me as if challenging my power. It had a red mane that was alight with flame, it's eyes as black as coal and its golden body was marred with scars that told a tale of battle and victory.
