With 2,000,000 gold in my metaphorical pocket I could buy everything right here right now. But that's not the right move. This place is my life now, I should be careful.
But obviously it would be dumb not to take the two special choices. Without hesitation I clicked buy on those two and a notification popped up in front of my eyes.
[Wyvern nest Lv1 added to Domain inventory]
[Beast tamer unit Lv1 added to Domain inventory]
That's what we like to see.
After perusing through the store for a bit longer, I purchased one barracks, one forge, a few guard towers and a fuckin ballista. I was quite surprised when I saw it, the list went toilet, bath, ballista, shower. Crazy.
Like how does that even make sense, either way I got it for 50,000 gold with 10 gold per ballista bolt. Of course I got 100.
Now that I had finished my shopping, I looked at my balance. I was sitting cozy at 1,747,000 gold and I still had to do more. With glee I upgraded my barracks to level 5 which cost me a hefty 14,000 gold, and I did the same to my forge.
[Barracks Lv5]
A nice place for you army to sleep and train.
+10% strength. +15% morale. +10% health.
+35% weapon XP
Well that's quite nice, but the weapon XP part was a bit weird. Maybe it increases the speed that weapon skills level by 35%, but we don't have any weapons. That's a bummer but also the reason why I built a forge.
[Forge Lv5]
A good place to create armour and weapons
Requires: 1 iron ore a day
+25 Luck +10% Strength
That's pretty good I must say, not sure what the Luck thing will affect but meh it's got to be good if a level 5 forge requires grants this. Now was the time to decide where to put them; when I thought this my vision instantly left my body and I had a birds eye view of my territory.
Of course I couldn't see inside the mountain because I hadn't explored it yet but I could still place a few things. For example, I placed the guard towers just outside the wall that separated my mountain from the rest of my monster infested territory. All of a sudden, tall wooden structures rose from the ground, displacing rocks and mud as they grew. In a matter of seconds, two towers had risen from the ground and stood tall behind a shabby rock wall.
Actually I would need to do something about that, looking back in the store I purchased a Lv1 Wall and placed it just in front of the watchtowers that guarded my home. Instead of just demolishing the volcanic rocks that had been placed as a makeshift wall, a red stone wall grew from underneath them and used the rocks to reinforce itself.
Soon an average sized wall stood outside my house. Roughly 4 metres tall and 6 feet wide, the wall before me was dwarfed by the wall just a few kilometre out. It would be enough to hold off any intruder for now, but I could never be sure. But even if it was too weak, my minions could just swarm the enemy and eventually kill it, as long as I had enough blood to replenish them. With all the blood I had gained from my hunting, I could revive my entire army 20 times. I know, I'm pretty amazing.
But back to business. Now, where can I place this ballista. If I place it out in the open it will just get destroyed, but I can't place it inside the mountain without first exploring it. Plus, what use would it be of inside, when it is supposed to hit things from far away? So I definitely needed to place it outside, only then it would be useful. But I need to protect it. What if I built a wall around it? Nah, it would be too easy to reach. What if I could make a little alcove to hold it?
Yeah that's a good idea.
[Geoscaping is possible due to Player Status]
Fuck yeah!
Instantly I started shaping the mountain side, it wasn't a big adjustment; I just made a small cave with a wall in the front that would allow the ballista to move from side to side without hitting the wall. I also made a staircase leading up to the ballista room so that it was easily accessible, and I placed the building inside. If I ever needed more ballista then this geoshaping would come in handy.
[Geoshaping costs: 50,000 gold]
Instantly I payed it, in real life that would have been more than my mom's yearly salary, but now I spent it like it was nothing. I still had a decent amount of money left and I decided to keep it safe, never know, I might need it in the future.
"Master? Why are you staring into that wall? Is there something behind it?" A voiced sounded out beside me, it was Singwoo.
"Yep sorry, just making some changes. Don't worry. Well did you find it?" I asked
"Yes I did, the minion is standing over there with the smart Blood minion."
"Thanks Singwoo, now continue what you were doing with the other imps. Don't stop until they are strong enough to fight me and not die instantly." I said all high and mighty.
"That's not that hard" Singwoo said with a cheeky grin on his face as he rushed back to his group of imps.
Deciding not to chance after him, I turned to face the new and evolved demon. It was taller than me and slightly wider, in its four fingered hands it held a great sword formed of constantly moving blood. Horns sprouted from its head, and in its mouth sat long sharp dark red teeth. Covering his body was a plethora of rock plates that moved constantly to cover his vital spots.
"My Lord, how can I be of service?" The demon said as it knelt on the ground and bowed his head.
"Sooo you killed something pretty big, why didn't you tell me about it?" I questioned, although my minions being strong is good, I'm hella greedy.
"Well Lord, we were exploring the mountain as per your command and we came upon a small cave. When me and my group went to investigate, we were locked in something called a [Dungeon] and were unable to relay the news back to you and the other minions." The demon stated earnestly while still staring at the ground, not daring to meet my eyes.
"Okay, that's annoying but acceptable, what happened next?" I asked, maybe we could farm this [Dungeon] like I had done in other video games.
"Well Lord, me and my group ventured farther into the cave until we spotted a huge door. It was engraved with designs of angels and devils on the top and bottom, with humans and beasts in the middle. The devils and angels seemed to be constantly fighting but eventually something else joined the fight. The door showed bloodied creatures rising from the bodies of the fallen Devils and Angels and eventually winning the fight. But at the bottom of the door, something changed, a giant male Devil and a giant female Angel combined their powers to force the leader of the bloodied beings into submission and put him in a prison. Once we had finished looking at the door, we pushed through and found a huge skeleton clad in dark armour and wielding a great broadsword and impenetrable shield. My group of 15 blood minions decided to inspect the skeleton, but as we got close the being began to move. It lifted its sword and instantly destroyed three of my companions, sensing that I would be destroyed I blindly rushed towards the skeleton. Luckily I dodged its sword and got in between its armour. With extreme speed I crawled up its rib cage where I found a huge dark gem, thinking it was important I pulled on it with all my might until it was mine. As soon as I had taken it, the skeleton crumbled to dust and my body started to change. When I awoke, I was able to speak and knowledge flowed into my brain. Suddenly I had the ability to condense blood from my enemies into a sword that will never break and I knew how to wield it. I brought the armour from the skeleton back with me as I thought it might be useful to you. "
"Wow just wow" I said with a shocked face as I read the notification in front of me.
