Chapter 31 - CHRISTA ASK THOMAS TO GET THE PASTOR

When Jenny said, "Thomas, you sound as though you are very happy to take your business elsewhere."

"I am happy we are finished here, I miss my breakfast and I am starving."

Placing the receipt in his briefcase then locks it, "If you are ready shall we go?"

"Tom, can you give me a minute, just to make a fast call."

"Go right ahead, I will wait in the car park for you." At that moment her phone ring, seeing she signals him to wait. Thomas stops and leans on the door.

"What?" Seeing the way she turns around looking at him, "When did that happen? Thanks, we will talk soon." Seeing how angry she had become, "Tom, how could you?"

"How could I what Jenny?"

"How, could you deceive me?"

"I have no idea what you are talking about?"

"Tom, Maggie, just told me you got married about six weeks ago? Was that when you decided to shift your business?"

'How could I be so stupid, thinking the money I gave Maggie the wedding night. And arranging for her to go on that trip we had planned would keep her quiet?

But my business transaction is settled here and thank God for that.' "I am sorry, but it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Jenny, the situation leaves me no choice, but as you know, we are just friends."

"Just friends, so were you just using me, Tom?"

"Jenny, I have lots of friends, sometimes I have dinners, lunches I was even taking Maggie on a cruise, you are not my only friend."

"What the hell are you talking about Thomas? You know we are more than just friends?"

"Jenny, Maggie doesn't know the whole story, and now you are jumping to the wrong conclusion. Aliza was the one getting married. When, Stephen did not turn up, and all the guest was talking.

At that moment I did the only possible thing I could think up. Having no other choice being the only other member in the family to get married.

I did the most logical thing to remove the shame and stain from my family name."

"And what was that I might ask Thomas?"

Thomas sees how angry she was, saying, "Well, Aliza Chief Bride's maid was wearing a dress looking like the bridal gown.

For no one to suspect what was going on, I proposed and she accepted being Aliza's friend and wanted to help. Everything was set so I got married, it was as simple as that."

"Simple you say, I have waited patiently for so long for you to ask me, and now you are saying you married someone you don't know anything about?"

"Exactly, and for your information just as you and I are friends, I am also with everyone else. We are just friends nothing more."

Seeing how puzzled she looks, "Jenny, I never went to bed with anyone. I am not committed to any one person. My choice of marriage is mine alone. If it will make you feel better.

I don't know anything about my new bride, and I am hardly home to know. So please don't be too disappointed, but we can still be friends."

"You know what Tom, you are despicable. I am glad you have taken your business elsewhere. Now I will never have to look at your face again."

"So, what you are saying, you don't want to have lunch with me or dinner again?" While waiting for her to respond his phone ring, turning aside Thomas's answers.

"Yes John, when has it started? Okay, I am on my way. Yes, I am driving out as we speak." Thomas was relieved that all his business is safe and secure.

"Thank God, I move on time, now I must seek another firm to do my business. I have treated all those women so special, they took it to heart that I am interested."

While reminiscing on that night he touches Christa. Her touch was so gentle, yet demanding that it ignites a fire I never knew existed in a relationship.

I had so many offers from these special women to share a bed with them. So how did I end up with Christa? She shows no interest in me whatsoever, while these other women are falling all over me.

Was I so tired that night that I give in to her urging? Recalling when her hand touches his, it felt so good.

The other women wanted more, but their touch did not move me not a slight bit and I only consider them as friends.

With Christa, I want more of her touch, it atomically activates my body. And she only wants to be my friends."

Returning first to the house to check on Christa, Thomas, ran upstairs hoping she was feeling better. Seeing the car, thinking the Doctor was here to check on her.

The door was open, entering in, she was in the room alone. "Honey, where is the Doctor? Observing how strange she was looking at him.

Seeing her lips moving, unable to hear what she was saying but the movement of her lips as her eyes open wide.

'I know she was repeating what I said, but then she said.' "Doctor, I haven't seen any Doctor? I don't want any Doctor."

"Are you feeling better?"

"Yes, but can you get me some ice water to drink, I feel like my inside is on fire."

"Okay," feeling her hand touch him, "You wanted something else?" When she closed her eyes and just nodded her head, "What is it?"

"Can you get the Pastor to come and pray for me please?"

"Yes, but can I do that later, one of the cows is about to deliver." When she nodded, Thomas bends down and kiss her lips, "I will get the water for you now." Thomas brought up the glass of cold water then rushes out of the house.

He was about to drive out when his Dad came and meet him. "Thomas, Pastor wanted to speak with you."

"Pastor!" thinking, 'Problem solve.'
