Chapter 32 - CHRISTA CONFESS THAT PASTOR PRAYER HELP

Feeling such relief asking his dad to make sure he was hearing right. "Dad, are you saying Pastor is here now?"

"Yes, he came to visit."

Seeing him switch off and alight the vehicle so quickly, "Where is he dad?" Running back inside, the house, not waiting for his dad to respond.

Seeing Pastor sitting with his mom, "Thank you, Pastor, for coming, Christa asked me to get you just a few minutes ago, can you come upstairs and prayer with her now please?"

"Take a breath, Tom."

"Pastor, Christa needs you to pray for her now?"

"Thomas, is Christa unwell?" His dad asks.

"I don't know what is going on Dad, but she looks unwell. I call for the Doctor to come this morning but she said he hasn't reached here as yet.

When I came home and see the car, I thought it was the Doctor. But maybe God wanted Pastor to be here instead."

As Pastor hurried up he call to Thomas, "Tom, will you just wait for a moment and take a breath or two?"

"Sorry pastor but when dad stop me I was going on an errand." Entering the room noticing the glass was empty. Thomas put the chair for Pastor to sit.

Then take the glass, running down the stairs, this time he got a mug. Placed enough ice and clean glass, on a tray then hurried upstairs.

Standing at the door, listening to Pastor as he prayed for Christa then enters the room resting down the tray for her. Thanking Pastor for being led to come and visit.

"Tom, why don't you come to church with Christa, she is a very nice person, the few times she came to church she has been a tremendous blessing.

I must thank you for the donation towards the home for retarded children. I must also say that things have happened to put you in a difficult position, but what I see Tom is, Christa is from a good family.

I got a visit from her brother a few weeks back. Tom, I know circumstances brought you two together, but God can turn those same circumstances and make good out of it."

"Pastor, I don't have any complaint, has Christa said anything?"

"No, in fact, she keeps praising you."

"Then, why do you think we are having problems, Pastor?"

"Tom, your parents are worried, they think you rush into this marriage without thinking of the outcome."

"Pastor, I knew full well what I was doing when I asked her to marry me, and I know it was not a mistake."

When his phone ring, "Pastor, I have to go, one of my prized cows is about to give me a winner."

Smilingly he responds, "Then God bless you, and thanks once again for that generous contribution."

"What is Pastor talking about? I haven't given any contribution, much less generous. Did Christa take the money I have given to her and put it in church?"

Driving to the pen Thomas recalled the night of the wedding, how she throw the money when the girls were obstructing us from coming out the van.

She doesn't seem to let money be a problem to her, although I heard Aliza say she is from a poor family.

And from what I observed they seems kind enough, and the younger ones were very chirpy. The little I learn while I visited was they missed her a lot.

Reaching to the cow pen, happily whispering as he goes, "This cow might be the one to bring in one of the most rewarding of the rest. And Christa got her wishes, so there is no need for I to rush home now."

Sitting up after a long rest, "Oh Father, I thank you that burning inside is gone, I can't imagine what could have caused that but Pastor, prayer has worked."

Standing up Christa walks towards the window, Whispering, "I need some fresh air." The breeze was strong, allowing it to cool her head and sweep through the room.

Taking in a few deep ones, filling her lungs. "Lord, what is happening to me? I never got sick, so why do I get this feeling that so many eyes are on me?

Since the wedding, that dress I wore the burning started inside slowly. And as the weeks go by whenever I attend church. It increases, but yesterday it was the worst.

It seems to have just sucked up every bit of strength from my body. And it had me feeling so weak."

Looking up to the sky, Christa thought, 'Something about this breeze is so different today?

Getting the counterpane Christa cover-up and sits on the chair looking out. "Lord, you know I love going to your house, but show me a way how I could protect myself, from all those eyes that pierce through my soul.

I know your blood is a shield for me, but I feel as though I need something more?"

The sound of voices gets her attention, it was not Thomas but it was coming in her direction.

Turning a bit to see who it was but they continue walking past the room. Christa thought, "If only she could get some fruits to eat, it might help soothe her stomach."

Just then she felt a hand embrace her, it was reassuring and comforting, but who was it? I heard no one entering the room.

Opening her eyes, his voice was soft, "Look what I got for you, it's the first tree bear."

"Thank you so much, I only thought a few minutes ago, if only I could get some fruits."

"Has the Doctor come as yet?"

"No, when I woke up I saw no one, but Pastor prayer helps a lot."

Giving her the guava, "You can eat the guava, I wash it already?"

"Thanks," Thomas look on as she eats but he could see that she was very weak.

Halfway through as she eats the guava, she stops placing the remaining piece of guava in his hand.

"It is for you, go on finish it."

Slightly shaking her head then whispered, "I had enough, just give me some water please."

"Christa, you need a Doctor, there's no need to be scared, I won't leave you."

"I am not scared but as you see, I am much better now."

"Come lie down, I will get you something to eat." Hearing her teeth knocking. "Are you feeling cold?" Thomas asks being concerned.

"I don't know, I just feel the place is a bit chilly, but I could do with a steaming cup of tea, though?"

Happy to hear she wanted something to drink Thomas hurried down to get her the tea.

Bringing her a cheese and chicken sandwich with the tea and a mug of water, Thinking whichever one she eats he will have the other. But she didn't eat any, hearing her say softly," I cannot eat that bread."

Angry with himself for forgetting that she cannot eat things with milk and the bread have milk.
