Chapter 30 - THOMAS FELT RELIEVED THAT HIS BUISNESS TRANSACTION WAS SETTLE

Noticing Christa closes her eyes then she said, "I am sorry, but I am confined to this washroom for the day, so let me allow you to get on with your busy schedule.

I am sure you don't want me to be there, the beautiful women might get offended so hurry along?"

"You won't mind if I have lunch or dinner with another woman?"

"Why should I, I know this wedding is just a sham, and I am sure you won't mind if I have lunch or dinner with whoever I choose?"

Seeing his facial features change, Christa stretches her arms resting them behind his neck. Making eye contact with him, then she said, "How about we just remain, friends, no one will get hurt."

"If that's what you desire, I don't have any problem with that, but I cannot accept you seeing other men."

"Friend trusts each other and if we are friends then I will trust you and you need to do the same?"

"Yes, but this friendship, relates to a stronger bonding, you belong to me and me alone."

"Oh, there is no need to worry, I free you from that commitment."

"We shall see, now this conversation is more than I had expected. Now if you don't mind, I am getting late for my appointment."

Standing up, he then reaches out for her, but she turns on her side then gets on her knees.

When she groans, Thomas bend and scoops her up in his arms. I am taking you to my Physician today."

"Please, I am just weak from having diarrhea since yesterday."

"Okay, but if when I return and you are still confined to the washroom, I am not taking no for an answer."

Feeling her head nod against his chest but then she sneezes. And her eyes turn almost white as her head rests almost lifeless on his chest.

"Christa, talk to me, say something please." Feeling his inside trembling, "Please say something to me, Christa?" Shaking her to get a response. When it came it was just a whisper, "Take the AC off please."

Forgetting everything his head reaches down and captures her lips. Thinking at that moment, 'How can we be friends, when I want her so much?'

Resting her on the bed, then hurry and took up the control, switching off the AC. Her eyes were closed but the trickle of tears ran down her face.

Not wanting for her to know he see the tears Thomas moves away softly. Then hurried and used the washroom. Thomas bath, and change.

Reaching downstairs Thomas asks Mrs. Marva to fix a sandwich for her. While he ran into the flowers garden and cut two red roses.

Taking the tray up to his room, seeing how she pulls the counterpane over her. Touching her gently, "I brought you your breakfast, and try and get some rest, I will come home early I promise."

Hearing a mumbling sound, Thomas strokes her back, wondering if he should leave her or if he should speak to his mom?

While driving to the Lawyer's office Thomas's thoughts were on her. Reaching the lawyer's office Thomas calls the Doctor, getting the receptionist.

"Ma'am I am Mr. Fortune, tell Doctor George to visit my home. I have a house guest and she is not feeling well."

Hearing her saying that Doctor George is coming in after lunch. "Then tell me who is available?"

"Doctor Morris, Sir!"

"Then let him go immediately, since yesterday she started with diarrhea, and she is very weak also from what I detect she seems to be afraid of Doctors."

"Do you want to do this another day Tom?" Jenny asks seeing the concern on his face. "Your heart seems to be elsewhere?"

"I am sorry for wasting your time Jenny, but I will appreciate it very much if we could make another appointment."

"Thomas, you know we hardly get any time to see each other."

"Yes, I know but I am very busy, this is the time when I get most of my sales. And I get opportunities to select the animals of my choice for breathing." Thomas responds.

"Look, Tom, I was hoping we will have lunch today but hearing you on the phone. I know that will be impossible to ask of you, but can we have dinner?" Jenny asks.

"Look, my reason for this appointment is, maybe you have already heard. Lester has joined a Lawyer firm, and I wanted to transfer my business over."

"What are you saying, Thomas?"

"Jenny, I have thought about this long and hard for over six weeks and more.

The Caster-field law firm is on a solid foundation, so I want Lester to start handling the family business from now on."

"I only hope you know what you are doing, Thomas?"

Reasoning from deep within, 'When she hears that I am married she might retaliate and make mischief. I might as well finalize this now.

When Thomas sit down, looking at Jenny then said, "I don't think there need for me to rush home anymore.

The Doctor is going home, and my parents are there, so it is no rush, so we could finalize this business here then we can go and get a bite as you suggested."

"Are you sure, Thomas?"

"Why not, I have no other business for the day unless an emergency arises, and I doubt this transfer of business will take long?"

"It will just take about an hour or so."

"Then while you are finishing up, I will make our luncheon reservation.'

The time seems as though it was stagnant, but Thomas keeps smiling not wanting her to know how anxious he wanted his business away from this firm and her hand.

It took seventy-five minutes, feeling so relieved finally holding the file with all his business, Thomas asks, "Now what is my final bill?"

"No need for that Thomas we are friends."

"Jenny, you are working here, our personal life has nothing to do with your job."

"As I said we are friends, I could think up a lot of things you could do to compensate."

"Yes! I am sure you can, but the work you does here is not personal, and I don't want you holding that over my head.

Now give me my last bill to finalize our business transaction then we will deal with personal matters."

"Okay, lately you have become very stubborn."

Receiving the last bill in his hand, Thomas open his briefcase and paid in cash.

"Now that this matter is settled we can get out of here?" Thomas felt so relieved and satisfied that all his business is safe and secure.

'Though matter what she hears in the future my business won't be at risk now.'
