Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12

CYRA

We all sat in silence on the way home. Parking, Armand got out and so did Esme, Dora turned to me again, but I interrupted her before she could try to save her friend, I turned my head to the side and asked her if there was still a red mark on my face, letting out a sigh, she said yes. Then I completely ignored her, getting out of the car, I went to the door, she came up behind me and as she started talking, I furrowed my brows thinking why is she still talking. Then I turned around facing her, took my palms and pressed it to her face shoving her away lightly, then she completely flipped out.

"Did- did you just push my face away like I was annoying?" Rolling my eyes at her, I say "Well I didn't know I was that obvious, but yea, I just wanted you to shut your face and you wouldn't so, yea." Scowling at me she screeched "Cyraaaa, you stupid buffoon." Swinging my head around at her as I am half way into the house through the door, I asked, "What, did you just call me, a buffoon? Who's a buffoon Dora? Hmm? Who?"

I went up into her space to intimidate her, she cowered back with fear in her eyes, stumbling with her words, "N- no-Not you-yo-you Cyra." "Yeah?" I asked her, twisting my head at her leaning closer. Her eyes went wide and she stopped thinking clearly, "N-no," I smiled then, "You said it's not me, I asked you if yeah, it's not me, and then you said, no, so you still think I'm a buffoon?"

Eyes once again going wide, she points at me saying "You! You tricked me, that's not fair," I tsked, "Life's not fair sweety." Then I bent and grabbed her legs, her hands grabbing my shoulders as I lifted her off the ground. "No, No Cyra no, please no Cyra," she started crying out, I actually felt sorry for her and what I was about to do. Her fists started banging on my back as I walked through the house, her little cries for help grasped the attention of everyone as one by one they came out from their corners to see what the commotion was all about.

Mom came out of the kitchen holding little daisy, Esme stopped at the bottom of the stairs as he was going up, turned to look at us, as well as Armand who just stopped taking off his sneakers, standing with one sockless foot and one untied sneaker looking hella confused. Dad came out of the living room, "What, who, what happened," all of us started laughing at him.

"Will no one stop Cyra from- what, what are you doing," she starts talking and stopped starting back with something completely different as I start to pull at her backpack making it drop to the floor. As I pass everyone, I give them a salute with my hands to my head and a huge shit eating grin as I'm walking through the house to the back door, Dora's cries turning more urgent and louder as I go. the whole battalion following my lead, as I reached to the end of the pool. I asked, "I don't know boys, should I do it?"

Mom shook her head at me as Daisy giggled, probably not even understanding but still taking pleasure in what was happening, and all the boys, dad included, fully agreed with me, Esme and Armand turned to look at each other then to me, "Yeah we think you should."

"Alright boys, on the count of three, three, two, one," As I'm counting down, Dora starts wiggling, trying to slide down screaming no until I finally drop her into the cold pool, fully clothed, socks and shoes still on. Letting out a series of unknown sounds as she drops and lifts back up from the water, she looks straight at me as everyone starts laughing, and god, if looks could kill, I'd be six feet under and died a thousand times over.

As she's done crawling up the steps shivering, she comes straight at me, pounding her little fists at my chest still shivering and calling me every name she could think of in the state she's in, while I'm just here laughing at her with everyone else. I take her fists and fold them across her as I twist her around and pull her to my chest, yelling cannonball, and I plunge back into the pool with her screaming not again, Esme and Armand pulling off their shirts and also joining us. We all laughed as Dora started grumbling.

Armand swims to her and pulls her hair over her face, then screeching like a horrified girl, he yells out, "Oh no, It's the grudge, swim away before her hair takes us all," swimming away as we all burst out laughing. At this point, Dora's just floating in one corner of the pool silently murdering us in her head while looking completely unfazed.

I swam over to her, and pulling her into a hug, Esme joined me as we swam to the end climbing out the pool. Mom brought over towels for us to dry off as we went into the house, all of us retreating to our respective rooms.

Hopping into the showing, I cleaned up and went to dry off, changing into shorts and a tee. Putting away my towel, I exit the room to see Dora approaching me with full speed, Thinking I should run, I turn ready to take off but instead bumped into Esme. Dora reached me then, putting her two hands into her pocket, and she retrieves both hands filled with jolly ranchers' wrapper and flings them at me, scowling. They flew around me as they lightly hit the floor.

"Now you clean it up yourself, or I'll go get mom," she screeched at me, I moved back my head, cause damn she was scary when she wanted to be. I scowled back at her, as she turned around and went downstairs, probably to get mom for real. Turning back, I give Esme the scowl he deserves because he made me have to do what I was about to do, he puts his two hands up, speed walking past me down the stairs too, leaving me to pick up my trash. Accepting my fate, I bend and pick every wrapper up, going to the trash can in my room to dump them.

Ending the day with a scrumptious hefty dinner and no scolding from mom for the mark on my face because I successfully diverted our parent's attention from that with Dora, and the wrappers because I cleaned my mess up. That night, I slept like a baby, I was tired from dealing with all the drama at school.

The next day came too fast for my liking. But nevertheless, I took my time getting ready, and decided that Armand would take us to school, I just didn't feel like driving today. When I went down, all of them were waiting on me. "Oh great, the princess decided to join us with his presence," Dora graced me with her sarcasm and a sweet smile.

I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at her, everyone laughed. Mom came out with a plate of sandwiches, she started going around us, feeding us all one bite. We all came down late and so we couldn't sit and have a proper breakfast, so leave it to mama bear to make sure we never left the house without having any type of breakfast because she knows we probably won't get anything at school until lunch or we all decided to take a break of our own.

After we all downed four sandwiches shared between each other, we left for school, I beat Dora to the front seat this morning. Ha, let her take that! As we reached school, we greeted Armand goodbye and went our own ways, Dora to god know where, Esme to his boys, and me to mine.

The first two classes went by a blur, no drama and the little tigress was a no show, damn, I was almost hoping to see her. And see her in the third period I did, during gym. She was sitting at the bottom step of the bleachers talking to Esme and one of the girls from her and Dora's group. I sat right above her, and when she didn't see me and put her pretty sneakers in my line of sight and touch while Coach was talking about Push-ups, I got my first idea of the day, and suddenly my day seems better, today's going to be good. Smiling, I looked at my boys sitting next me and then to her feet, I grabbed a hold of the laces and untied them and tied them back to each other without grabbing her attention.

Just then as everyone got up, she did too, and as she realized what's wrong a little too late, this girl had the time to get out a series of words no one would ever expect or do for that matter if they realized they were about to hit the ground face first. she said, "Oh Chocolate covered fudge icicles," yes, I know what you're thinking, I'm thinking it too buddy, she cannot be thinking about what she just said, or could she? I burst out laughing as did one hundred and something else other students too, but there were also snickers and whispers.

Look, don't think bad of me okay, the floor is smooth and not exactly a hard ground, I knew she wasn't going to get smacked into the floor and die a horrible death okay. So, don't. And besides, I went to help her up, and I got exactly what I wanted, I knew from the redness in her cheeks, she was embarrassed but I wasn't done yet, No, I had to extend this a little more.

So, as I pull her up, I let everyone know she just couldn't wait to start the push-ups and as everyone burst out laughing, Esme the spoil sport, stopped me, going to mend her wounds and I left, but then I heard, "-Humpty dumpty had a great fall but she is embarrassed," shaking my head at her choice of words even when she is as embarrassed as she is right now, I couldn't help but admire her for standing so strong and trying to be funny.

Standing at the corner by the exit, I saw as Esme and her were walking out, I started until she looked at me, and what she did shocked the hell out of me, she gave me the "I'm watching you sign," with her fingers and mouthed the words, "You better watch out it's payback time." I loved her spirit, and she had balls, smirking at her, I did the same thing to her and mouth back, "Game on," to her. This was going to be good. The war was on, and I would come out the winner.
