CYRA
Walking into the bathroom, I stared at my face for a whole minute, then I skinned my teeth, lips stretching as far as I could stretch it and sure enough, every single tooth in my mouth was painted in a deep, dark, blue coloring. Next, I take my tongue out, moving my face from side to side to see just how much damage control I need to do.
Feeling restless about not knowing what to do to get the color off the inside of my precious mouth, moving out of the bathroom, I sit on the edge of my bed, holding my face in my hands, rubbing it so hard, my eyes start watering. Internally I cursed my brother so bad, apart from him, every one of my family members would have died of a heart attack the second they heard them coming out of my mouth.
A thought suddenly came to mind, I took out my phone and googled how to get color off the inside of your mouth, and then I took note of all the legit options. Getting up, I tried the first thing, which seemed to be the most obvious thing in the world, and yet I could not think of it. Brush my teeth. And brush it I did, boy did I brush it until my gum started bleeding. Having had enough, guess what had not disappeared, the blue stuck on my tooth and tongue. It barely even faded from the violence it just endured, and not only have I lost my patience already, but I was also very late for school.
To fully get rid of this color, it would take me days, which clearly, I don't have today, so I'll just go with the flow. Grabbing a towel from the towel rack I tapped my face with it. When I'm satisfied with the dryness, I put it back and stepped out of the bathroom.
I next went to ransack Isadora's room, finding blueberry candies from her, not so secret stash, God knows who she thinks she's hiding it from and that too in the top right drawer on her nightstand. I practically searched for all the blueberry jolly ranchers, popped two into my mouth, shoved the rest into my pockets, and deliberately left the wrappers of both so she can find it later, smirking as I put there like I'm such an inconspicuous idiot.
As soon as she sees that, she'll definitely know exactly who left it there. God, I can't wait for little Maggie to grow up so I can teach her how to piss off the rest of our siblings, and so I can piss her off too.
Laughing as I exit her room, I go downstairs where they all wore a bored expression. Raising my eyebrows at them I asked, "what up guys?" to which Isadora replied in quite a rude way may I add, "we were waiting on the princess to come down so we could get school."
Before I could do a bitchy come back to her, Esme asked "did you un-blue the blue from inside your mouth?" "Nah, it's going to take a few days to fully disappear," I said to him.
Armand laughed, "I got you so good this time." Scowling at him I say, "yeah you did, but don't let it get to your head, I'm going to get you back for this and it won't be green hair." He laughed at me again, "trust me I know. I'm ready whenever you're ready little brother."
"If you two are done expressing your undying love for each other, I'd like to get to school since it doesn't really look like anyone else realizes or cares that we're like super late."
I screeched in the best girly voice, I could muster "God why do you have to be such a spoilsport and mood breaker, Dora?" Armand laughed and Isadora fumed, walking out the door to Armand's car, Esme followed.
I start laughing as I go after them and Armand follows after us. We all shouted goodbye to Mom and Dad as we left. Armand usually drives us all to school on his way to college even though I have my own car. Esme and Dora are one year too young to be able to drive. The three of us go to the same school, but I'm a senior whereas they're juniors. Sometimes we have classes together and when we do, my boys, sometimes my brother and I love pissing my sister off, and other times we have different classes.
Armand blasted music through his system as we all sat in our respective seats, Esme and Dora in the back and I in the front. He's got a crazy cool car, the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, but my car's cooler I'd like to think. I have a 2020 Ford F-150 truck. It's my baby, and I absolutely love her, even named her Fordetta. She's beautiful in dark blue, my favorite color. When I'm not too lazy to drive Esme and Dora, Armand takes over, he even picks us up from school and he is only able to do so because by the time school is really over, his college doesn't finish but with Esme's and I soccer and basketball practices, while Dora watches on, we are able to make it possible.
Pulling over to the front gates on the St. Valkyrie High school, I jump out hollering a "later greenie," to Armand as Esme and Dora get out. The impious buffoon didn't even look bad with the green in his hair, instead, he styled it, and it's looking really proper now. So instead of getting him to look bad, I did him a favor, which only pisses me off more since he got me back so good.
Leaving Esme and Dora behind, I move to find my boys, Alec Lockwood, Colton Haynes, Rollins Macallister, Lucius Imogen, finding them at the back of the school campus, I greet them with our routine way of greeting each other, with daps.
Lucius immediately starts talking about overhearing the principle saying that a new student will be joining us today, making all the boys piping up;
"I hope it's a girl,"
"I hope she's hot,"
"I hope she wears extra short skirts like Genevieve and long socks."
Now they all agree, straying from the newbie, "oh yeah man, Genevieve's a walking, talking wet dream," Alec replies, as the rest of us laughs.
We all knew he had a serious crush on her, but she was too much a bonehead who was completely oblivious to Alec's crush on her, or she just chose to ignore the poor guy and was stuck up on all those other wannabes, who clearly have no interest in her other than to use her.
Rollins looked at his phone and said, "Boys we need to go." We all picked our bags up and got up going around to the front of the school because we knew it was late enough and if we went in any later than now, we would all end up getting detention.
Suddenly I remembered Isadora, she must be in detention because I lied to the principal saying that she was always late because she was seeing someone and I was doing it out of good thoughts cause she's my sister and I was going her a good, and Mr. Flores said that if she was ever late again, she would be in detention, which she always was because if it wasn't Armand who always brought us all a little late, it was me.
Laughing, I mentally made a plan to have a sibling's detention this morning and I knew just how to get that done.
"Hey boys, why don't you guys go to class, I'll catch y'all up later, got some stuff to do," I said to them.
They all laughed at me saying "later man," they knew I was up to no good.
Turning around, I went to find Esme, knowing he must be with his boys, but not knowing exactly where, I decided that I'll take a detour while on my mission to find him. At every turn I make, absolutely failing on my one mission to find my brother, I was repaid with sneaky smirks from girls on the corridor while making out with their boyfriends, and me being me, tipped my head up, smirking, then continued on my way.
Just as I was turning upon the next corridor, little miss short skirt herself was approaching me. I frowned, not really in the mood to deal with whatever bull she was about to pull on me or info she was about to pester me into getting on her next victim. "Hey handsome," she goes as she puts one hand on her waist, tipping her hip at one side up while looking at her other hands.
Uck, I internally groaned, Genevieve's nail was absolutely horrifying, she even painted them in black polish, it looks like it belongs on a witch's hands. Not that I'd put her past being one of those, she was cunning, ready to do whatever it took to get her way and whatever she wanted. And right now, I was her victim, and what she wanted was me, but ew, no.
I was not for that. Apart from the bro code, that would ensure I don't mess with one of my boy's girls, I just didn't appreciate Genevieve and her cunning ways, I think she'd kill me in my sleep and I wasn't ready to die just yet.
"Hey Genevieve, have you seen my brother Esme around?" I asked her.
"Oh yeah, just passed him by the west side, he's with his group of boys."
Not waiting for her to add more I say, "cool, we got some sibling rivalry to sort out, I'll catch you later, yeah?" turning to the west side I move quickly away from her before she says something and I get stuck listening to her.
