Chapter 11 - Last preparations

If my theory is correct, then in this world humans would have to be able to get way stronger than in my old world. Also this was one of the most important criteria of the world I thought of and although I can't now exactly how many of the things I thought of are actually in this world the most important ones should exist, or otherwise it wouldn't have had to think about it for so long.

"Well I guess I'll just have to train and maybe I'll see myself get stronger by just training. Well that would be the best scenario."

After training I went back to the village quickly to take care of the few matters I had left before going back to the bar.

First I needed to to go and pick up the bag with the sword and bow, which was hopefully still lying behind the house at the edge of the village, where I had previously left it.

After I arrived at the village I had to look around for a bit to see the house and when I found it I looked around me to see if anybody was around or observing me.

I didn't really see anyone, so I was relieved, but I was still cautious and didn't want to mess up so I made it look like i had forgotten something and then quickly went behind the house, where I left the bag before I came to the village.

"Please let me be lucky one more time."

I walked around the corner and looked around searching for the bag, which should still be lying there somewhere.

"Lucky me."

The bag was still lying there, maybe someone noticed it and tried to wait and see who would come back to get it, but I couldn't just let it lie here.

I quickly took it and went back outside the village into the forest by using the same path I had taken to get to the village before.

After reaching the forest I proceeded to walk for a few more seconds and then I turned left and searched a tree I could recognize, when I would come back here leaving the village.

I saw a tree, which looked very old and was perfect to hide something inside, because it had a little hole in it, which could only be seen from a certain angle and not really from the path.

"First things done."

Now that I had stored the bag away I carefully looked around me once again and listened to the sound of a person walking over branches or leaves, but I couldn't see nor here anyone, so now the biggest worries I had were gone and I only had one more thing to do.

I went back into the village to take care of something else. About this I wasn't really too sure, but it wasn't something I needed to immediately take care of. I walked into the village and walked towards a certain building.

"Ah here it is."

I was standing in front of the leather tanner shop. I hoped to find something like a long black robe, to not get detected as easily in the night by wild beasts or more importantly other humans or other intelligent creatures.

I went inside and saw a man, maybe in his twenties sit on a chair, behind the counter at the back of the building. He looked down upon a wooden figure and didn't seem to notice me.

"Hello."

He was taken by surprise and stood up looking at me. After a second he seemed to return to his normal state again and quickly greeted me.

"Oh hello boy. I'm sorry I didn't notice you right there."

"Oh no problem. Is this shop opened or is it still closed?"

"Oh of course it's opened, I was just in deep thought and didn't think anyone would come here at this time. But boy, are you the one who came from outside yesterday?"

"Oh, yes, I'm actually here to see if you had some kind of robe made out of leather, I'm very new here so I'm not expecting anything, but I just wanted to make sure before leaving again tomorrow."

"Oh so that's why you're here. I'm sorry to say this, but we don't sell any robes around here, I'm guessing you want to have something to wear in the night, when it's dark to not get noticed as easily, don't you?"

Oh he's quite smart, but I guess it doesn't really matter if they don't sell anything I want.

"Oh, That's actually completely right, that was my plan, but I guess I can't do anything about it if you don't sell something like that. Well still thanks for your time."

I was ready to leave when he started to stop me by beginning to tell me something.

"Well, It's correct that we don't sell anything you are looking for, but I can still ask my father, he is the owner of this shop, but I guess it doesn't really matter if you're leaving tomorrow. But if you could stay here for a few more days, maybe we would be able to do something for you."

"Oh you don't have to do that for me, after all I won't be here tomorrow and I don't like being indebted to someone or making any kind of trouble for you. Staying here is not right, I am trying to go to the next big city that's the closest to this village."

"Oh then I guess we can't do anything to help you, but I hope you will be safe on your travels. And by the way the next big city I can think of is actually not that far away from here, it's the capitol of Raiken and you only need a few days on foot from here to the city. You should ask Daisuke about it, he should know more about that."

"Oh, thanks, if I have the chance I will maybe come back here one day."

Again, I was really astounded at how nice everyone in this village seemed to be, but I couldn't get what I wanted, well I didn't expect to get it in the first place so I guess it's okay.

I went back to the bar, because I wasn't sure if it was already noon and to ask Daisuke about a few things and also to eat something, because I was getting quite hungry, which was only natural if you think about the training and walking around the city I had been doing basically since I had woken up.

I entered the bar, which was filled with quite a few people already, although not as much as yesterday.

I approached the counter, where Daisuke was polishing glasses again.

And when I was almost there he looked up and saw me.

"Hey Yori, you're already back, what did you do outside?"

He seemed to be in a pretty good mood, so automatically my mood was also affected and I quickly forgot about the robe I wasn't able to buy.

I guess it can really affect yourself if you see other people, who are happy or just enjoying themselves.

"Well I was just walking around the village, talking to people and went into the forest not too far a away from the village to think about what I need to do next. But by the way, can I help you with anything, I mean I don't just want to live here for free, so I would like to help you as payment."

"Oh you don't need to do anything hard, but you could go around and ask if anyone wants to drink or eat something and then come back to tell me."

"Yeah okay, I'll do that."

"Ok thanks, Yori."

"Nothing to thank for, it's normal to repay someone."

I began to go around and talking to all kinds of people, always asking them if they wanted anything else and although it was quite hard I don't want to be indebted to anyone, so as long as I stay here for free I will help Daisuke to the best of my abilities.
