Chapter 1 - Alvin's Kingdom- Chapter 1

"Good night princess Raina." "Goodnight Mildred." I'm nine teen and yes I'm a princess, you all heard of my mother's story, snow white. Being a princess is nice and all it's just that I-I want adventure in my life. To go out without servants or people who knows me, to learn things without reading it in a book like cooking. Me... "I can't sleep Fluffy." There I go again talking to me and my cat, "I'm sick of this princess thing." Said Raina in a quiet voice that if there was one a mouse could barely hear her say it. Raina got out of bed changed into one of her wrinkled-up clothes and old shoes, snucked down the corridors to the armor room, grabbed a sword, went outside got a horse ready, and left... Raina took her hood to hide her face, once she got to the gate Raina said "open the gate." "Who goes there?" "Rosie, the king wants pudding and we're out of milk." The guard opened the gate, unaware that the princess left the safety of the castle.

Sometime of galloping Raina came to a stop at a fork in the road, got off and took the saddle off, and took a small bag of gold and tied it around her hip. Once Raina was done all that she placed a note inside the pocket of the saddle. Raina got back on the horse and went right, I'm not going to town, they might search there and find me, people might recognize me too, and I also want to travel.

Raina stopped for a moment and saw a poor dog hurt in a trap, Raina got down from her horse and let the hurt dog loose. "You! You let my prey go, how dare you!" Bringing his sword out and Raina running and dodging when Raina fell the guy was behind her and Raina just sitting there, all of a sudden someone with a lantern was there. "Get going mister, this has nothing to do with you!" "Even so you shouldn't bring a sword out upon a young lady." "I know but she let my prey go." "I'm sorry mister but it wasn't much of a prey a little dog, that was it. How about this?" Raina pulled out two gold pieces and handed it to him. "Fine. Go on your way, thank you, and sorry if I startled you as well."

The man took his trap and left while the young man and Raina stood there. "Well I better be going, thank you for saving me." "What's your name miss?" Raina didn't want attention so she made up a name, "it's Ella." "Well Ella it's my pleasure. I see you have a sword, yet you didn't draw it out?" "No. I'm traveling to Alvin's kingdom to find someone to teach me." "Would you like accompany?" "Well... Uh?" "You need some protection just until you learn." "Fine, hop on." "Thanks. By the way name is Orson, nice to meet you." "As well as you."

Raina didn't exactly trust Orson at first but within days trust grew. "Hey why are you cutting your hair?" "I have reason to plus it's my hair." "True." "How long until we arrive I wonder?" "I'm not sure, never been there. I don't travel much."

"It's dark, why not stop here for tonight?" "Why?" "As I said it's dark and you're probably tired as well as I am." "No Orson, you can nap if you like." "No, I'll be fine." So for a couple hours they rode till Orson noticed that the horse was somewhat swaying and Ella was laying against him. Orson looked down and Ella was drooping, laying against him, and so Orson took the reins from her and stopped the horse. Orson moved Ella so she was laying against the horse, got down, placed a blanket on the ground, slid his arms underneath Ella, and layed her down on the blanket. Orson remembered that he promised he wouldn't do anything but it was a little cold, he slept with Ella so that both won't freeze. The morning sun woke Ella up, looking around and saw Orson underneath the blanket with her. Ella urgently woke Orson up. "Where are we? And why are you under the same blanket?" "You fell asleep, so I stopped the horse, we are heading to Alvin's kingdom. It was cold last night, did not want either of us to freeze. I promise you I did not do anything." "I must have been sleepier then I realized, sorry if I put you through any trouble." "You weren't trouble at all and you know I wouldn't disrespect ya." "I know... So shall we fold up the blankets and go?" "What about breakfast?" "Well... I don't know. How fare till we get to Alvin's kingdom?" "I'm not sure, like I told you- I don't travel much." "Right, I forgot." "Wait, listen. Do you hear that?" "Yes, so?" "That's a river or creek, which means fish." "Yes and how do you suppose we catch one?" "I'm not sure. We don't have a net or a spear." "I got an idea. Why not use the sword to make a spear?" "That's a great idea, though I never made one using a sword." In amount of time they had made a fire, caught, and cooked fish, Ella and Orson finished packing up. Ella left to get some water and was on the way back but stopped walking when she heard Orson talking to some people. Ella came a little closer when they stopped talking and left, Ella then came out when they were a little further away. "Those people said it'll be a couple more days till we see Alvin's kingdom." "I see, okay." Ella and Orson got back on the horse and off they went again. Even though Ella and Orson rode few days and some of the nights they arrived days later like those people said.
