"We're finally here." "Yeah. Let's see if there is an inn of some sort and stables... right people ask what your name is say Robert. Orson go see if there's an inn somewhere Robert and I will look for a stable." Before Orson could say sure or get off the horse a soldier stopped them, "sorry folks but new people must introduce themselves to the majesties." "Really, why?" "Well miss it seems Princess Raina is missing." "I see, we'll gladly see them, let's go. Wait! Where is the palace?" They followed the soldier up to the palace, they all got off, and handed the reins over to the guard. "Thank you sir, for uh escorting us." "You are welcome miss, sorry I must return to the town." "Of course."
Waiting in the throne room, at last King Richard came in. "Hello, welcome to my kingdom." "Your majesty." "I apologize for any scare my soldiers gave you." "It's all fine, as we heard Princess Raina is missing. You must miss your daughter." "Oh no dear! She's not my daughter but a neighboring kingdom." "I see. Where are my manners? My name is Ella, and my two friends Orson and Robert. We came from Alvin's Kingdom." "Well your travel must of scared you, to enter a kingdom with soldiers." "Yes indeed but with a good reason behind it. I'm sorry King Richard since we never been here we must go look for an inn and stables." "I'll ask a servant to take you to the stable and inn later." "Later?" "I want to invite you all for dinner, my way to show how sorry I am to have my soldiers scare you and to welcome you to my kingdom."
"Please sit." "Father who is joining us for dinner?" "Guests who is new to the kingdom." Dinner was quiet with little questions asked and answered.
"Thank you so much King Richard for inviting us to dinner and having your servant, Tim show us to our destinations. I'm sorry but we must go, it will get dark soon." "Yes of course. Son say good bye to our guests." When Prince Ralph looked up to say his good byes he saw Ella place her bow and arrows as well as the sword on her hip. "Do you actually use them?" "Use what, my bow and arrows?" "Yes. And your sword?" "Yes. I know how to use them. If you don't mind prince we must be going." The servants held the horse as Ella jumped onto the saddle then the servant handed the reins, Orson jumped as well and Prince Arthur know as Robert was waiting on his with a servant on a separate horse also waiting. "Well then good night your majesty and prince." They all galloped off following the servant to the stable and then to the inn. "Thanks Tim." "No problem. Good night miss and gentlemen." As for Prince Ralph he mostly thought how ludicrous yet interesting for a young lady to carry weapons like them. The group got a room found their bedrooms. Arthur found his bed instantly, as for Ella and Orson they chatted for a little bit.
The next day the group made it down the stairs, "well good morning there. My name is Ruth, if you need anything ask me." "Actually we all are looking for jobs. Do you know if anyone is hiring?" "Jack at the general store. Sam at the stables, (Lilian) Lily the seamstress; a lot are looking for help even me." "Miss. Ruth-" "Call me Ruth dearies." "Ruth do you know if there's a swordsman in this town?" "Yes there is one, Gus." Ruth then gave directions to Ella, Orson, and Arthur. Both Arthur and Orson got jobs at the general store, Ella went to see Gus. "It's you! Uh..." "Ella." "Yes. So what are you doing here?" "My friends came to this town and well I wanted to ask a favor from you." "Go on." "If you recognize any of us don't over react." "Over react?" "One who helped you that day and the other who also got lessons. Both are here." "Th-The Prince!?" "Shh. He wants a new perspective so please if you can pretend that you don't know us." "I guess. Anything else?" "If I want practice can I come here?" "Maybe... Ok." "Sorry I need to go. I'm gonna meet Lily for a job." "I heard it's only till mid-day." "It's fine. Well see you around." "Indeed."
Ella went and found Lily to see about the job, to no avail for someone was already hired. Since the job was taken Ella then went to Ruth to see if she'll hire her. "Of course I'll hire you."
Prince Ralph came by the inn looking for anyone who knew the where abouts of Ella, surprisingly he didn't need to ask for he saw her. "Hey can you come back to the palace some time later; I want to talk." "Is Orson and Robert coming or is it just me?" "Just you." "Fine Prince Ralph, see ya later." "Now what's this?" "Nothing. He was just leaving." "I was asking if she could come to the palace some time later." "Why not now?" "I'm working." "Well work for a few more hours, then go." "Alright." Prince Ralph nodded and left.
Ella indeed left the inn a few hours later and went to the palace. A guard showed Ella to some room; I suppose it's the drawing room probably. Walking toward the window to look out; never thought I'd be in another castle.. Not much of a garden out there. "Nice view isn't it? Did I startle you?" "Yeah, I was thinking about something. So Prince Ralph what did you want talk about?" "Just want to know why you're traveling some with two fellows? And why you have a sword and arrows?" "As I told you I use those weapons when I travel and as for my friends traveling with me that's none of your business." "Everything is my business since you are living in my father's kingdom, and you shouldn't look down on me since I'm the heir to the throne." "I'm not looking down on you. I'm talking to you as an equal or in simple terms titles is nothing, that you're still a person like anyone else in town. If it concerned your father about my weapons he would have summoned or told me either wise." "I-I'm nothing like those commoners, I'm royal." "You may be royal but your arrogant who would lose nice people if they knew how you thought of them." "So what if a few people leave, it won't change my status." "Even so it'll change the people's mind on you, your family, and make them question other royals." "They won't think that if I marry Princess Raina... When she is found I'll court her." "I doubt that will happen." "Why?" "First seem careless and arrogant. Second it's her decision not yours." "It may be her choice but I'll show her how wonderful it is to be with me. Any lady would be grateful to date or even talk to me." "This conversation isn't going anywhere, I'm bored of it, and like my old friends said I'm a walking debater. So good bye Prince Ralph." "Well I'm not done talking and I haven't sent you off." "I know but a person like me has free will to leave." King Richard walked in; "my what's with the commotion? Ah It's you again." "Yes. Hello your majesty." "Father can we send her to a cell?" "For what? What has this young lady done to you or me?" "She is thoughtless and outspoken." "As if. I'm not thoughtless like you, as I previously said my friends told me I'm a walking debater, and we have the free will to speak our minds. The servant outside the door would vouch for me." King Richard called for the servant whom told nearly everything that was said. "My... Miss your friends are right about you but your also right on what you've said to my son. I do have one question though. How did you know the servant would be outside the door?" "Well we were at the prince's birthday. He and I chatted for a while, in that time I notice we were followed by his servant and or guard." "Ha. You say you don't care for titles but you stayed for his party and talked with him." "Talking to the prince it was to show my respect and now his family, him, and I are friends." "In my opinion he is more thoughtful and caring then you; that I won't be surprised if Princess Raina and him date." "What! You ignor-" "Son, don't you dare. My apology miss for his behavior and such words." "It's fine your majesty. I'm sorry but I believe I must be heading back to the inn... My friends don't know where I am." "They don't?" "No, you see King Richard your son came to the inn and requested me to come here after work." "I see, well then you must head back. Can I do anything to show my apology for any trouble given?" "No. It's fine your majesty. Good bye." "Well if you say so. Good bye miss." Ella left leaving father and son talking.
Some days later that servant was at the inn, "I remember you miss." Looking at the person carefully Ella exclaimed "right you were the one who vouched for me. Are you on an errand?" "No. I came to say good bye and good luck to you miss." "Why?" "The prince let me go. I'm either going live here in town or leave." "You might be able to work here, let me get Ruth." "No it's fine, I think I'll just leave. Bye miss." "Wait!" "What is it?" "Just wait here for a moment." Ella left and came back with an envelopes; "go to King's Alvin's palace and give him this." "Why?" "You will see, just trust me." "Alright. Bye miss." "My name is Ella." "Well Ella good bye." "Bye."
After work Ella rode up to the palace and asked for an audience with the king. "Nice to see you again." "I doubt you'll think it's nice by the time I finish." "Why? What happened?" As Ella told him about his lost servant the king facial expression changed. "Bertha please fetch my son." Bertha left and came back with Prince Ralph. "Oh you're back... I guess you came to apologize how harsh you spoke to me?" "No she's not here for that. I was informed that you fired Wilbur. Why did you do so?" "He should stick to his job instead of vouching for some common girl." "My apology miss- uh." "Ella." "Miss. Ella. Son this attitude has gone to far, you are to go to your room and stay there." "You're grounding me?" "Yes. For a long time, now go." Prince Ralph angrily walked off, after he was out of ear shot Ella spoke up again, "your majesty may I give such a crazy idea?" "I'm sure it's not so crazy but lets here your idea." "Well instead of having him stay in his room, make him go out live and work in town with no help from anyone including you. I think it'll give him a new perspective and teach him some things too." "That is crazy but sounds like a good idea and the soldiers in town can watch him and give me reports. Guards ask the townspeople to assemble in the square and Bertha go get Ralph, tell him we're going to town." "Yes sir." "Wait!" Bertha stopped in her tracks waiting for what Ella was going to say next. "Majesty I would insist on two things. First let him a few clothes to take and second pay for his first night at the inn since it'll be getting dark." "Yes, that would be good. Bertha you heard her pack a small bag of clothes also for Ralph." "Yes sir." Bertha then left and did as she was told.
