Ella saw how much Ralph changed in the time that she was in town, so she went to the palace to the king, her opinion of letting him back at the palace as prince.
Later that day Ralph burst into the inn door yelling for Ella, "my father says I can come back to the palace." "Congratulations." "Ella, no everyone can come visit me anytime." "Everyone as in?" "My friends, in fact come tomorrow." Ella spoke for everyone: Robert, Galvin, Orson, and herself. "We'll be there." "Alright see you guys tomorrow." Ralph left to return to the palace and after he left on his horse Ella spoke. "Orson and Robert, you best prepare yourself for tomorrow, to finish whatever." "It's time isn't it?" "Yes." "Time for what?" Interjected Robert. "We're leaving the kingdom tomorrow." "Why?" "It's time for you to go home and for me to go home as well... Galvin you best be ready for tomorrow too." "Will do."
"Welcome. Why are you guys early? I mean I thought you'll be here later for dinner." "I knew what you would have expected but I figure it'll be good to surprise you. Right guys?" In unison Orson, Galvin, and Robert said "yeah." "Cool, we can spend all day together, maybe tomorrow I'll come to town and visit." "True" said Robert. Orson then said "I know lets go to the drawing room and entertain ourselves." "You all go, I need go to the restroom; Galvin can show me." "Alright;" said Ralph. Galvin and Ella started walking off, it was until they were out of earshot and cannot be seen that Ella said "stop. Take me to the library, I'm sure there is paper. I need to write a couple letters." "Okay." Ralph seems happy to be back home, don't need to ruin it by telling him we'll be leaving tonight. I'll ask the king to give him this letter tomorrow night. "All done; lets go." On the way to the drawing room they saw James, who is Galvin's older brother.. "Hey little brother. What are you doing here?" "I'm here with Miss. Ella-" "I already told you to call me Ella." "Ok Ella and her friends visiting Prince Ralph before- uh never mind." "Before what?" "James don't tell Ralph but we're leaving tonight and Galvin is coming with me so I can show him a place to live and work." "I'm going with you then." "It's fine." "No, I'm coming." "If you wish but what are you going to tell the king?" "You guys come with me." Galvin and Ella followed James to the throne room finding King Richard almost bumping into him as he left the room.
As James told the king the plan; Richard looked at the brothers and then Ella. "Fine... I do have a question. How are you going to travel now?" "I know one of us will be walking to each of our homes, Orson though I hope he'll stay here when we come back through." "Back through?" "Yes. Some of my family lives in Snow's kingdom, I haven't seen them for a while." "I see. Well if you're coming back through borrow my horse. You'll return it when you come back through." "Yes sire, thank you.. Oh and before I leave please give this to your son tomorrow night." "He doesn't know does he?" "No." "Fine." Taking the sealed envelope. "Thank you, your majesty. Ella couldn't help asking herself it was the right thing to do. Dinner wasn't as quiet when Robert, Orson, and Ella first arrived; darkness was approaching fast. "Ralph we best be going, it's getting late." "I'll see you all tomorrow then." "Yeah." "How about we ask someone to escort you all back to the inn." "Good idea father." King Richard called James over knowing what will happen.
