When Tang Yazhu entered his office, she saw that the interior of his office was a mix of black and white. There was also some modern art such as a few paintings and big vases to ensure the room was not too empty. Aside from that, there were two doors which told her that were two more rooms in this office.
Not only that, the office was quite big and there was also a wide window where she look outside to see the view of the city. However, the beautiful monochrome office was not the most surprising thing to her. The most shocking thing was that he had his own kitchen in his office!
Then, Tang Yazhu looked at her husband. Long Ning was currently sitting on his swivel chair and staring at his papers as though they were his biggest enemies, especially because his brows were about to meet each other due to how scrunched up they were.
"Hubby! Look who's here?" Tang Yazhu cheerily called out and set all the things she brought on the coffee table before arranging it to look nice. "What are you doing?"
"I'm looking at the shipment of a new product from Medical Technology," Long Ning answered her question.
Normally, other husbands that were big CEOs and presidents would not share information or talk about their work with their wives, thinking that it was a waste of time or that their wives would sell the information and betray them.
However, Long Ning felt that as long as Tang Yazhu was his wife, there was nothing he needed to hide because a married couple should learn how to trust and be honest with each other. Thus, he just answered and kept flipping through his papers.
"Do it later. It's already lunchtime," Tang Yazhu told him as she continued to take out the food from the dark green lunch bag.
Suddenly, Tang Yazhu felt his hands around her waist as he hugged her from behind.
"What did you cook for me?" Long Ning asked, letting out a hot, warm breath on her neck.
Feeling his breath spreading around her neck, Tang Yazhu felt shivers from the core of her bones. The warmth from his hot breath was tickling her to pleasurable death!
"It's just some dishes. Also, I made enough for the both of us, so you don't have to worry about eating less to let me eat more," Tang Yazhu made sure to tell him while allowing him to smell the aroma of the foods that she cooked for the both of them.
"Why don't you get the spoons and forks? I feel like I'll be your meal if I continue letting you hug me," Tang Yazhu told him only to feel him tighten his hold on her.
"Hm… That seems like a good idea," Long Ning teased her with a teasing smile on his face.
His wife was just too cute. The shy face that she made… He found it so refreshing and amusing that he really did not want to stop.
"Tease me any more and you won't be able to eat any more of the food I cook!" Tang Yazhu softly threaten him.
This caused Long Ning to give a small laugh and he finally made his way to the kitchen to gather the utensils that she asked for.
"So, this is the reason why Butler Xue didn't want me to bring any eating utensils. Why do you have your own kitchen in your office?" Tang Yazhu asked him when he placed the utensils on the table with a nice arrangement.
This was the first time that Tang Yazhu ever knew of someone having a kitchen in their office.
"When I was young, I was poisoned twice. Since then, I only eat at home and usually just cook my own lunch here," Long Ning gave his answer in a casual tone.
However, this voice caused her to feel an itch deep in her heart.
"What about when you don't have the time to cook?" Tang Yazhu continued to ask.
"Hm… I just let it pass. But, it doesn't matter. You're here now, so I won't have any more problems when it comes to lunch," Long Ning said, causing her heart to hurt even more.
Tang Yazhu was deeply moved. Due to his past experiences, Long Ning could not just easily trust someone he knew. However, he has only known her for not even a full month, and yet he has already trusted her fully.
This was the first time in her life where she experienced someone truly trusting her without any questions aside from the three idiots in the organization whereas the other agents avoided her as though she was an allergen.
"Hubby, thank you," Tang Yazhu hugged him and looked at him with a very thankful expression on her face.
Long Ning knew what she was trying to say. He simply stared at her tearful expression and caressed her cheeks.
"You're my wife, I will naturally trust you. Come now, let's eat before the food gets cold," Long Ning said, pulling her to sit down first before he also sat down next to her.
As they ate, Tang Yazhu began to serve him like she normally did at home and he also did the same for her.
"When do you want us to register our marriage?" Long Ning suddenly asked as he took a piece of cauliflower and placed it on her plate.
"Hm… It's up to you. But, for the wedding, it'd be best to do it during the autumn season. It's the best season for weddings!" Tang Yazhu excitedly answered, already wanting to wear a wedding dress.
Currently, it was summer and the weather was scorching hot. However, even with the comparison of summer and winter, she would always love autumn - especially with the falling leaves.
"Okay, do you want me to hire a wedding planner?" Long Ning asked, just staring at her with loving eyes as he ate.
"Hm… Yes! Just tell me when you find someone good," Tang Yazhu nodded and was going to give Long Ning another piece of cauliflower, but she was abruptly stopped by the loud voice coming from the entrance of the office.
"Big brother! Your baby brother is here!" Long Jiayi shouted happily, letting them know that it was none other than the baby son of the family and that Long Ning would have a headache coming soon.
"What do you want?" Long Ning asked in a flat tone that showed he would not be taking any bullshit.
"Big Bro! Oh! Sister-in-law is also here! Wow! You even cooked some food!" Long Jiayi said while rushing to the coffee table, taking some food and shoving it in his mouth like a starving beggar.
"Sister-in-law is really the Queen of Gourmet! I'm so blessed to have you as my sister-in-law!" Long Jiayi continued to talk in a fake teary voice even while his mouth was full of food.
"You punk! How dare you eat the food I cooked for your brother!" Tang Yazhu immediately exclaimed and slapped his hand when he tried to take the last pieces of meatballs.
"Sister-in-law, food is made to be eaten! You can just cook for him again!" Long Jiayi tried to give an excuse and attempted to grab the meatballs, but Tang Yazhu shielded them with her spoon.
Eventually, a battle between a spoon and fork trying to get the last few meatballs ensued.
Long Ning merely massaged his forehead as he watched the two of them in front battle out for the last piece of food.
"Enough! Jiayi, what are you doing here?" Long Ning asked with an angry voice.
Having lost focus after that, Long Jiayi lost the battle and it was Tang Yazhu who took the last meat - stuffing it in her mouth.
"Ah! Sister-in-law! You're so mean!" Long Jiayi cried out, almost wanting to give out actual tears.
He felt so cheated! It looks like his brother no longer cared for him; hoes before bros!
"I win, you punk!" Tang Yazhu shouted out in a cheery tone.
"Big Bro! You're so mean!" Long Ning continued to say in his fake teary voice. "Dad froze all of my accounts. Last night, I was so humiliated when I found out that I couldn't pay for the drinks! Bro, please lend me some money."
"You punk! Is this what you came here for?! Hubby! Don't give him any! Teach him a lesson to learn how not to be an ingratiating waste!" Tang Yazhu said in an evil tone.
Long Ning naturally did not go against his wife and completely agreed with her. Even if what she said was wrong, he would still do it. Well, she was also very right in this matter, so he had even less reason to not agree with her.
"W-what? Bro! Don't you love me anymore?!" Long Jiayi pleaded sadly to his brother, thinking that as long as a few tears dropped out he would get some money.
"Go to Xiao Fang," Long Ning simply stated, causing the world in the mind of Long Jiayi to crack apart.
"No! She's already kicked me out of her studio the moment that I entered it!" Long Jiayi cried out.
"Then, go to Ru," Long Ning gave out the name of their older brother.
"He's always busy and he'll just scold me anyways," Long Jiayi complained, slumping on the sofa.
"Well, I'm feeling good today, so why not just give him a thousand?" Tang Yazhu suggested.
"What?! A thousand?! That's not enough!" Long Jiayi yelled out his rejection.
"Learn to save money, you punk!" Tang Yazhu scolded him loudly.
After a moment of lecturing, Long Jiayi finally left with a gloomy face and took away the money that was offered to him. Poor him… When his brother was still single, he would give him always give him money no matter what. Now that he has a wife, he was thrown into the abyss full of agony.
While Long Ning continued to work, Tang Yazhu simply waited for him by playing on her phone and doing some research. When he was finally done with everything and made sure that there were no schedules on the afternoon, he finally told Fu Chao to prepare the car.
"Boss, the car is ready," Fu Chao stated after he walked into the office.
With that, Long Ning immediately stood up and looked at Tang Yazhu.
"Finally!" Tang Yazhu happily exclaimed, placing her phone into her small sling bag and clung onto his arm as they made their way out of the office.
However, right outside of the office, Tang Yazhu saw someone again. It was none other than that nasty stripping girl!
