There was something off about all four of us being in the same room. For starters, Lloyd had already been in contact with my parents without my knowledge, and I had not responded to any of his texts. He had his eyes on me even as he talked with my father. was beginning to feel flustered.
Secondly, Matthew was being a little too possessive despite not communicating after what went on between us. He had his hand on my thigh, and I had to fight the urge not to push it off. I was in no mood to have his beautifully manicured hands on me. He had lost that privilege.
And lastly, my father was calm...too calm. From Matt's PDA to Lloyd's close to eye-fucking, I was sure he could tell that something was going on between the three of us, but that was the least of his worries.
"We are keeping you out of this case, Mila, do you hear me?"
