**STILL TWO WEEKS EARLIER**
I was still damp from my shower when the doorbell rang. I was hesitant to let Lloyd in but I had to do what it took to get the cameras away. To be honest, I had forgotten they were there for a while until the meeting we at the firm. Seeing how the men were pushing me aside to "deal" with the issue sparked an anger in me that was hard to shake off. Lloyd's cameras that were intended to "protect me" were only there to watch and keep tabs on me. I was done being coddled.
"Did I come at the wrong time?"
"What do you think?"
"I see that you're still upset."
My eyes fell on his luscious moisturized lips before I held his gaze. There was a softness in his eyes that I was not prepared for.
"Come in," I replied, stepping aside and letting him in.
