"Do you still have cameras on me?" I asked.
"Yes, it's for your own—"
"Take them down," I said through my teeth. "I mean it, Lloyd."
I thought that was the last time I would hear from him. I was stern when I asked him to take down the cameras. I did not take into account that he would have to be at the house for that to happen. What's worse, I had been avoiding Matthew like the plague. Don't get me wrong, I just have nothing left to say to him considering his lack of response after that evening. Of course, picking up his calls could solve all of this, but I did not want to.
"Mila, are you coming for lunch with me or not?"
"Huh?"
"You've been spaced out lately. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, sorry. Finals are getting to me. Let's go for lunch?"
