"Can you revive the footage?"
He sighed and strived to do it again but it couldn't just revive the footage. He glanced at them and shook his head.
"You need to leave this place, Cheslea. I think someone was watching your every move."
"Dan… I'm sorry. Are you going to be okay?"
"I'll be okay. Just hurry up and leave this place!"
They responded with a nod and walked outside the headquarters. They walked inside the car and couldn't believe what happened.
Then, Eliezer received a message from Jester and it said, 'I sent the real footage from the company. Feel free to look at it.'
He grabbed his laptop and opened it. He went through his email and looked for the email from Jester. He smirked when seeing the real footage from their company.
He opened it and studied the footage. The CCTV camera 1 was located at the main door of the building. There was something odd about it and one person, who was wearing a hoodie, was hiding behind the wall that connected to the main door.
He zoomed in the video and couldn't comprehend the face since it was fully covered with the hoodie and the mask. This person was watching someone's movement.
At CCTV cameras 2 and 3, located at the ground floor, there wasn't anything suspicious going on for the past three days. But on the 4th day, a person roamed around the floor at midnight and went straight upstairs.
His eyes widened when someone opened the CEO's office. It was disappointing since there wasn't any CCTV inside the CEO's office. He sighed and replayed the footage.
He zoomed in and it was Drake, the manager who was holding their big project. What was he doing inside Jaymianne's office?
Then, he walked outside the office with his documents. He tried to zoom in and it was the final report of a big project with Martin Enterprises. He clenched his fist when seeing this footage.
After that, he used the back door and the hoodie person parked the car. The guard didn't budge since Drake was the employee of the company. They didn't even report it since they trusted him.
"What is that?" Chelsea said and strived to look at his laptop.
He was too fast and closed the laptop. He smiled at her and placed it on the back seat. "It was a financial report of the company. I just needed to review it after giving it to Miss Mar."
"Oh okay, anyway, I'm hungry. Can we go to a coffee shop nearby? I'm craving coffee."
He sighed and responded with a nod. He drove to their destination and ended up at a coffee shop called 'Historia Cafe'. He parked his car in front of the shop.
"Shall we go? We could get some lunch here before going home."
She responded with a nod and stepped outside the car. They walked inside and sat beside the glass wall.
"What do you prefer to eat? My treat." He stated and gave her a quick wink.
"No. I can pay for my meal so you don't have to waste your money on me." She replied.
"I'm not accepting a 'no' answer, so I insist. Tell me, what do you want?"
"You shouldn't have to Eli. Seriously, I can pay for my meal." She explained.
She stopped closer to the counter and was ready to order. But he grabbed her wrist and stopped her track.
"Please, Ches… I know you can pay for your meal and want to be an independent woman but I want this to be memorable. Just let me do this, okay?"
She furrowed her eyebrows and crossed her arms. She didn't want to lose this argument. It's not that she wanted to be independent, it's just that… every time they went to eat outside, he always paid.
"I know what you're thinking, Cheslea. If you don't want me to pay for our food, consider it borrowing some money and repay me back by offering me food. Does it sound like a friendly agreement?" He asked and showed his puppy look.
She heaved a heavy sigh and gave up. It was always like this, their arguments were like this and she never won.
"You always said that… try another lame reason next time, okay?"
She shook her head when seeing his lovely expression, excitement gestures. They both stepped to the counter and told the order to the waitress.
"One large macchiato please and a chicken alfredo and one large chai latte and a lasagna,"
"Any dessert sir?" Her brow raised when she was using her flirty voice.
She couldn't deny, every time they were going out, the waitress drooled on him. He was a fine looking good man and many girls turned around just to stare at him.
"Blueberry cheesecake and a muffin, " she muttered sternly.
The waitress was astonished when her eyes frowned. She blinked multiple times and cleared his throat.
"T-that would be $29.99." She replied without glancing at her.
She left him behind the counter and sat on the chair. Her elbow touched the table and her cheek leaned to my inner palm while watching the place.
"Here's your order ma'am."
A voice in front of her caught her attention. She looked up and saw Eliezer holding their food.
"Funny," she said and grabbed her order.
Then, she started eating her food without saying anything. After a while, a man walked closer to them and smiled at Cheslea.
"Cheslea?"
She looked at him and smiled. She stood up and pulled the man into an embrace. "Jesse, how have you been? It's been a long time since I saw you!"
She exclaimed and loosened the hug. Then, he chuckled and ruffled her hair. "You are still an energetic one. I'm great, by the way. How about you? You are with your boyfriend… Hello, I'm Jesse, her senior in college."
"Eliezer." He replied coldly.
Cheslea chuckled when seeing him jealous at him. "Anyway, I'll get going. I hope we can catch up soon." He said and walked to the counter
She saw Eliezer was sulking while sipping his coffee. She chuckled and sat beside him. He furrowed his eyebrows but he ignored her.
Now she knew that Eliezer's feelings were surreal. She thought that he confessed his feelings out of pressure but seeing him like this, he was serious about her.
She smiled widely and leaned closer to him. Eliezer, on the other hand, felt the hot breath across his neck. Slowly, he looked at her and saw her smiling widely.
"W-what?"
She giggled and suddenly, she proposed. "Eliezer Bautista, will you marry me?"
"You know my answer to that, Cheslea Ali." He mumbled and smiled with each other.
"Is that a yes?" She asked.
"Of course. I'll love to marry you, Cheslea Ali."
