I can't just sit here and watch the company fall to the ground. I can't let our guard down so I need to fix this." She murmured and glanced at her secretary.
"What are you going to do?" She asked.
"Make me an appointment with the CEO's secretary. I'll talk to the CEO myself." She commanded.
"Do you think that's a good idea to confront the CEO?" She asked.
She heaved a deep sigh and didn't know what to do. She didn't have 20 million dollars in her bank. Even the company hadn't clients that could fill up 20 million dollars.
"What should I do then? We'll go bankrupt." She said,
"If I had 20 million dollars in my pocket, I'll lend you but I don't have that much money."
She bit her lips and her mind started to blank. She couldn't think much about this problem just because of one person, who ran away with the money.
"Chelsea, I need to go to our warehouse, hoping for some materials that we could provide for them."
"I know we have materials in our warehouse as per Mr. Bautista. We could go there now. Do you need an appointment for Mr. Martin?"
"If we could gather some materials, then we would proceed to deliver all the materials we provide to them. But if not… I'll go personally."
"Okay, Miss Mar."
They stepped outside the office and went to the elevator. Luckily, no one was on their way so they walked inside the elevator.
Cheslea pushed the bottom 'ground' and waited for their arrival. Then, her secretary called their company driver and strolled outside the small building.
Within a split second, the driver arrived on time. Cheslea opened the door for her before she stepped beside the driver's seat.
"Ma'am, where are we going?" The driver asked.
"To the warehouse," Cheslea replied.
The warehouse wasn't far from the main building. Her parents managed to buy a warehouse to preserve the materials for their designated clients.
Even though they bought the warehouse, the company hadn't gotten up from bankruptcy. Some of their friends helped Jaymianne and gave them to the clients so it came back to business.
However, it wasn't enough to grow back and bloom for a short period of time.
"Miss Mar, here we are but there was a commotion from the warehouse." Her secretary said,
They stepped outside the car and ran towards the warehouse. Her eyes widened and her body froze from the fire gathered around the warehouse.
She couldn't believe her eyes, it was burning. All the materials were inside the burning warehouse.
Her tears fell to her cheeks and bit her lips. It was the worst thing that happened to her. She didn't know if someone had a grudge against her and set her warehouse on fire.
The firetruck came on time and started extinguishing the fire. The caretakers were helping the fireman but Cheslea stopped them and let the workers do their job.
"Are you all okay? Does anyone hurt?! Call an ambulance!" Cheslea took care of all the caretakers of the warehouse.
Jaymianne couldn't take her eyes off the warehouse. All her parent's hard work didn't pay off; instead, it was sabotage.
She felt her knees fall to the ground and cried loudly. Cheslea, on the other hand, noticed the CEO. She hastily walked in her direction and helped her to stand.
"Jayme…"
"I don't know what to do anymore, Ches. Someone put the warehouse on fire…" she murmured and hugged herself.
"Jayme, we'll investigate who did this. I need to know who the mastermind is and put them in jail." She said,
Then, she stood up and removed the dirt from her butt and knees. She walked toward the caretakers and asked,
"Does anyone hurt?"
All the caretaker shook their heads, indicating that no one was hurt by the fire.
One of the caretakers walked closer to the CEO and explained, "Miss Mar, the warehouse was set on fire an hour ago. Luckily the materials had been delivered to other clients."
"So the fire started for a while? Have you seen who was the culprit?"
The caretaker shook his head and looked down. "We'll get into that tomorrow but for now, you all need some rest and take a day off. Don't worry, your salary hasn't been cut off today."
"Thank you, Miss Mar." They said and left the premises.
After the fire cooled down, Cheslea gave a facemask to her boss. Jaymianne wore the mask and walked to the warehouse.
She needed to investigate the cause of the fire. Her feet led to the main warehouse and observed the place. It burned quickly so someone put gas to create a massive fire.
Jaymianne was wearing a facemask but she smelled the strong odor of gas around the place. She grabbed Cheslea's hand and walked out of the premises.
"Someone put the gas around the warehouse. They really sabotaged it but who could do this to us?" Jaymianne asked while looking at the CCTV around the premises.
"Even the CCTV melted down, how could we find the culprit?" Her secretary implored.
"Get Mr. Bautista with you and investigate what happened to the warehouse."
And all of a sudden, Cheslea's phone rang inside her purse. She grabbed it inside and hesitantly answered the call.
"Good morning, this is Miss Mar's secretary, how may I help you, Mrs. Riley." She said while looking at Jaymianne, who was very nervous.
"Our CEO wanted to inform you that the materials needed today and we aren't taking any exception." Mrs. Riley said in a stern voice on the other line."
"Mrs. Riley… we—"
"I don't need any explanation, tell your CEO that we need the supplies today." She said and hung up the call.
She placed it inside the purse and glanced back to Jaymianne, who was waiting for her explanation.
"Martin Enterprises' CEO demanded for the supplies and delivered them today. What are we going to do?" She asked.
She heaved a deep sigh and bit her lips. It needed to be done and talked personally to Mr. Martin.
"You investigated what happened to the warehouse with Mr. Bautista. I'll deal with this and come to Mr. Martin's office."
"But Jayme… if you talk to Mr. Martin and told them what happened, you'll end up in jail."
"I know that but I'll find a way so don't worry about me. I'll do anything to save our company."
"Jayme…"
"Just do what I say and don't tell this to anyone. Even George."
"I understand, Miss Mar."
